Title: Recruit Reviewers
Post by: Linkforce on May 23, 2008, 12:05:56 AM
Alright, if anybody wants to join the Review "Team" just post here.  Unlike the rest of Charas, I would like this section to be semi-serious at least.  Uhh...here's what a game reviewer needs to know if you wanna sign up.

All reviews should be non-biased.  Meaning if there was something you personally didn't like in the game, try and take into consideration what another player may find enjoyable in it.  Of course, not for every thing, but for things that really made a personal impact on you.

Now, if you want to sign up, just post the following.

-Name
-Why you want to review games
-Any past reviews you've written
-Any specific types of games you would like to review

Also, if you do become a reviewer, once you get a game to review, that review should be written as a seperate thread in this section. (I used the word review a lot.  Lol)  So yeah, if there are any questions, PM me! :)

-Why you want to review games

I believe I should contribute more to RPG Maker, and to this site overall, but I can never seem to finish anything. I believe this is the best coarse of action for me. People say I give very good advice. I used to read a lot of game design and writing articles, and I do apply this to my advice. I used to be overly critical, but that is disappearing. I'm also a competent writer.

-Any past reviews you've written

I'm pretty sure I've reviewed your game, and Bluhman's "The Alpha Force." I've written two game design tutorials for this site in the past. I've also given constructive criticism in at least 100 different game topics after a search.

-Any specific types of games you would like to review

I can generally review every type of game, including games that do not use RPG Maker including Shooters, Platformers, Adventure Games, etc. I will grade games differently based on their genre. If it is an RPG, I will generally look for balance and storytelling. If it is an action/adventure/puzzle game, I will look to fun the most.

Alright you're in.  Once we get some people who want their game reviewed you can take the first one.
