For those of you who don't check Charas 24/7, and those who just need a thread to discuss the recent changes:
- There's a new Mayor Election! (http://www.charas-project.net/forum/index.php?topic=23486.new#new)
- If democracy isn't your thing, we're also looking for new mods. (http://www.charas-project.net/forum/index.php?topic=23485.0)
- We're still taking applicants to the first ever Charas Sprite-Off. (http://www.charas-project.net/forum/index.php?topic=23446.0)
- Unmod has been killed. It's original purpose of providing a place for spam obviously hasn't been doing too well. It may be brought back eventually, but as of now it has been marked as read only until we feel it's time to bring it back.
More changes possibly to come. Oh, and if anyone cares, I JUST GOT A $14,000 SCHOLARSHIP I'M FRIGGIN RICH

Unmod was removed Because allthought at first it served a purpose well it eventually contributed to the overall rise in pointless spamming in other threads of the forum.
Generally speaking, If your post is going to be short along the flavour of "Why was Unmod removed?! Joykillers."
It had best have a well delivered point. Otherwise its just spam. I woluld like you all to just observe your most recent posts. Ask yourself "Was that post necessary in furthering the topic, and then observe that Unmod is dead.
That is all I have to say about that.
On another note... Butts
And I plan on destroying you all in the sprite off. Best be practisin'.
Gonna make mah award tomorrow and hope I get the go ahead

I'm rarely going to visit Charas now until someone puts Unmod back up. Take me out of both elections.

No. Dragonium is one of the members that I look up to, and now his own board is gone. Archem's spam posts will be missed.
And don't say I'm immature. I'm 10. No one is mature at my age.
So, nothing will bring me back unless Unmod is back.

Anyway, no unmod is just going to take a bit of getting used to. Like its been said before, there was a Charas before unmod, so why can't there be a Charas without unmod now?

if i were to suggest anything to accompany a reopening of unmod, i would say lock it to underage members.
I dont understand why we cant keep things in AoA and simply THINK about what were posting first.

Honestly, Im not going to name names here, but I can count a good half dozen of you who were all "YAAAH TOUGHER STAFF PLZ NO MOAR SPAMZ" that are still continuing with posts like
....sigh
Archem has somehow been painted up to be the master of spam around here, and thats simply not true.

I don't understand why a post like "...sigh" annoys people. It's short, to the point, and skip-overable. Sorry, gem, I feel like a jerk for saying that so I want to say I just brought that up in regards to the people who can't stand any posts like that, not you responding in that thread, as I see what your point is and what you're doing and I would do the same if I were you. I mean, my posts are always decently long and they are very often skipped over. It's almost like I feel like I'm being punished by the people who complain about spam by not getting any response. Sometimes I really want to say a lot and further the thread a lot and I get a silent version "tl;dr!!! LOL!" It kinda sucks. :|
Oh, and congrats on the scholarship! Now, how much does that actually get you? If you have an in-state tuition rate, then that must be really nice! Can it go toward anything but tuition if it's more than you would need for tuition (not that I know that, I just mean if so)?

I think I became the Spam Master because mine was usually the best, or because it derailed everything. Anyways, axing unmod is a good thing. I'm facing the facts that it was a problem, so shouldn't everyone else? And congrats on the scholarship. That can only lead to text-book learnins!

So many questions about the scholarship, so here:
I live Off Campus This Semester
My tuition costs are roughly $29,000 a year.
With my previous amounts of financial aid, including loans, I had $32,800 in financial aid.
With this new scholarship, and paying back the loan money taken out this year, I have $39,000 in financial aid.
I am allowed to withdraw excess money from my account, which means this year I will have roughly $10,000 to pay for living and other expenses, plus the money I make working at the school.

Well, congrats with teh college stuff. I myself am not looking forward to those expenses.
