It's POKEMON, so that's kind of a let down.
Haha, just kidding!
The song loooked pretty decent.

Bitter artist is bitter.
Anyway, with the original piece, I see what you were trying to do, but I don't think it worked out too well. Sounds really random in a lot of spots. It's salvageable though. I just think you might want to go through it and change some notes around. I'm terrible at using music lingo, but I'm gonna try. I know some of the "awkward" notes work. By awkward, I mean the flats and sharps. By flats and sharps, I mean the notes that aren't in whatever diatonic scale you're using (or scales with an s). Hopefully you're still with my musically illiterate self. Okay, I felt like I could hear what you were trying to do with the music, but some of your notes were fighting the change and flow of the song. Some of the notes were sticking with the diatonic scale while the music moved to either different scales or to chords with flats and sharps outside of the regular 7 note diatonic scale. I know there's a musical term for using notes and/or rhythms that shouldn't work in the progression but do, and maybe that's what you were going for, but if that's the case, then it sounds forced and it just doesn't work.
Hopefully, that was more helpful than confusing as ****.
Oh, and nice Brittany cover. I guess won't ask.
-
Yeah, the whole song was just Fmaj over Db major. I don't know how much you know about scales, but in f minor is the relative minor of Db major (or it has the same number of flats). F major is the parallel major of F major, so I did a little experiment with mixing the two scales related to f minor. In the song, there are points that are in f minor. Anyway, I'll have to upload the piano version too. But I understand what you meant with how it sounds. Its not the best thing I've written. haha. The Britney cover... I did it because some friends suggested it. Haha
Oh, the title was just a joked based off of what happened in the other topics I've done like this. Haha
Also, the song that started the thread is updated with new sounds too.

Nice title name. I should use it for my thread as well.
-
...
-
"My gallery of drawings that are ignored" sounds good, right? Okay. Maybe not.
-
Joke over now. Ugh. =P
Anyway, anyone else?
-
I was just razzing you man. I get its frustrating not getting feedback.
But, after reading your post, I kind of understand what you were going for. Atleast, the song makes more sense. Still, it may be technically good, but it's a little rough on the ears. Which, I understand, you understand.
-
Thanks. Haha. I know. I'll try and mess with it to fix it up a little.
-
Well, hey, if that's how its suppose to sound then keep it that way.
-
And here we go:

Don't kill me because of where it ends. I just started working on it tonight.
-
I kept wondering why the hell it wasnt working for me when I realized my sound was off. Anyway, awesome job so far man. Are there people actually going to play that? It would be friggin awesome.
also, I still don't really get how you can be this good at music stuff, and enjoy Lady Gaga. Really.
-
Haha, I'm not writing it for any specific group, but it should be playable for a good high school band or a normal level college group.
Lady Gaga = good music.
-
Haha, that was slick. Loved the ending, was that in the original? I feel like it wasn't.
Also, at the risk of being stoned and outcast by the multitude of Chara's Metal Maniacs... I kinda don't mind Lady Gaga either.
-
Its in the extended version.
I should probably finish that thing up. Hm...

My professor said that it would be good if I tried writing for my own instrument, so here is the result.
-
Very nice. Are you ever going to finish the pokémon song? =p
-
Eventually. haha.

Black Swan ruined my life. Such an amazing movie, but my brain can't handle it. The song is a result of just watching it.
-
So, if anyone knows the music from The Prince of Egypt, here's something I am working on that might end up being used for a high school marching band show.

I LOVE THIS MOVIE!!
Listened to it and it sounded very spot on. I haven't even seen the movie in a while and I was able to recognize the tune. Good job!
-
This is not my thing ussually, but it sounds great man, relaxing and smooth.
Need to take a break from :Plight: :)
-
Thanks. I haven't done much writing lately because I've been working on my high school's marching band show. They are using music from the recent star trek movie for the opener.
