Well, If I remember correctly, You CAN make an MMORPG with RMXP. But you need to know a lot of scripting and coding.

WRONG.

There are two very easy to use 2d mmorpg makers out there (that I know of).

The first is playerworlds, its a freeware program, you can get it and some info about it at playerworlds.com (or search google for it)

The other I know about is nendango, sometimes called nedango. Its japanese or something for network rpg maker. Its a lot better to use than playerworlds, it has a interface simular to rpg maker, but it is a little harder to use and graphics are hard to find for it. Not to mention the program itself is extreemly hard to find. I had it once on my computer, but then it crashed and I lost it, I haven't been able to find it since.

I made a runoff of guildwars once.

But it was crappy, and not easy to use. I don't even remember the program

Anyone still interested in Nendango/Nedango? It's actually downloadable as Network RPG Maker 2000 at this link:

http://www.nrm2k.uni.cc/networkrpgmaker.rar (http://www.nrm2k.uni.cc/networkrpgmaker.rar)

There are also resources (note they have called it "recourses") there.

The Japanese version is by ASCII.

 *spamlas* Oh yeah! *spamlas*

I agree with MrMister. BYOND is for **** people. It is absolutely cryptic. It took me a couple of minutes to figure out how to place grass on the ground. As with Eclipse, Playerworlds, Nedango etc. It took me a lot less time to figure it out.

BYOND SUCKS!

Thank you Mr. 3 posts man.

V Opinion continued down in the next post.

It's not his three posts that make me disregard his opinion. It's the fact that he'd rather complain about how hard it was to figure it out than admit that he didn't have the sense to look for help - the developers section of the site has more than enough information to help anyone get started with BYOND.

Not to mention that if you're going to bitch because it took you a few of your precious minutes to do something, then you're never going to accomplish anything. I hope he chokes.

Hmmm... *GASP GASP AAHHH CHOKING* No, not really. The real reason I hate BYOND is because of it's horribly designed interface and also Ultra-Lag!!!!! I hate BYOND!!!!

:frag: BYOND

PS: I looked in the developers section and it's waaaaaaaaaa(aaaaaa)y to trivial!
