So far, the only game that doesn't really work on PSP for me is Ape Escape (major bummage ensued). There's a remake for it, but it just doesn't have the feeling or nostalgia of the original.
Back on topic, I had my old Windows 98 computer do the same thing recently, kept shutting itself down, but today it ran for a good five hours before I shut it down myself.
