Title: Game of the Month, June 2008
Post by: Ben on May 29, 2008, 04:05:00 AM
sometimes its nice to see something different around here.
This months Game is made our very own coasterkrazy, and is made using Game Maker (ZOMG THATS NOT RPGMAKER AT ALL!!1one!) which is a nice reprieve.

TRIP TRIP has a great nostalgic feel to it...part "Marble Madness" Part "guitar Hero" (sort of...) and all awesome...
You roll a ball over coloured squares, manually adjusting your players colour to corespond, along a scrolling map, being carefull not to roll right off the edges.
The Game has fun music, that really adds to the fun.

Sorry about the lack of screens for this...my computer is acting up. And screenshots really wont do this justice.

If youre looking to gain EXP and fight BLOB X 3 an the ICE CAVERN, then go somewhere else...but if youre into some HARDCORE SCROLLING PUZZLE GAME ACTION then check this out. You wont be let down.

I'd love to try this game but it won't work with Vista, even after running it through the conversion program the company provides.

Perhaps switch to a more up to date version of GameMaker?

Yeah that's weird. I ran it through the conversion program...

My god I just realized the problem I think! I revised it a bit, editing world 3, but I may have forgotten to convert again... Though that doesn't explain Osmose's problem. I'll upgrade to GM7 tomorrow and save it through that. I'm sorry.

EDIT: Okay, I currently can't upgrade because I lost my registration key. :( I can't get it emailed to me either because Gary (Pyro Gary) gave me the key a while back. I need to somehow contact him and get the key back. I guess email is my best bet. Looks like I'll have to wait.

EDIT 2: Well, the thread is locked so all I can do is edit this. Turns out I was right. I forgot to convert my update. I don't know if that'll make any difference for you Osmose, but gemini, it should work now.

I'm pretty much this game's most loyal fan so I'm really glad it's got a feature.

I see Gary on msn every now and then so when I do, I'll ask for the key.

Seems like it. =/ Best to smash them when they pop up. Like whack-a-mole.
