Title: Anyone else ever get this?
Post by: A Forgotten Legend on June 27, 2007, 01:12:01 PM
I got it when trying to get to the forum main page (with firefox).

It only happened once.  I tried it again and it worked so...

My guess is that mysql_connect() can't connect to local MYSQL server through a socket called '/var/lib/mysql/mysql.sock'.

Something about either your connection or the library PHP uses to connect to the database resulted in an error. Nothing to worry about, it's a one time fluke.

It's most likely a server timeout thing, which could be caused by too many connections at once.

Which does seem highly unlikely, seeing as Charas never gets too crowded.
