I hate you. Please convert it to a winZIP Wizard file, for people like me, and Aboutasoandthis, next time.

Just to ask, does this uses any RTP graphics, and if so, which ones? How much time did you spend on this?

Why, thank you very much. I'll try it right now.

EDIT: AAAAUGH! This is horrible! The character views don't go with the sprites, and there are tons of bugs.

A: Press Z/Space/Enter on the first coin-thing, before the first level. It warps you to a place where you can save(castle) or beat a level(fortress). After that, when you try to use the pipe, it telports you onto the ocean in a different world, where you can't move.

B: The jumping is very fast and frameless. It just makes you hop from one space to 2 spaces in front of it. It doesn't allow you to jump any higher than one space, and you get stuck in objects. The only thing it's used for is those little gaps.

C: If you're close enough to an enemy or gap, it thinks that you're dead, plays the bum-dum-banana-dum-bump noise, and fades the screen. You can still move during this.

3 Megabytes in a Winzip? I couldn't resist.

Okay, after beating 10 solid levels, I think I can give some inpute.

I'm not quite sure what you were going for with this game. If it was to be a side-scrolling action game, it sucked. You couldn't jump that high, you couldn't attack, the controls were flimsy...stuff like that. If you were aiming for a  puzzle game, then it's actually pretty fun. Figureing out how to get around the enemys was kind of cool.

There were a lot of glitches in it. The fireballs in that first "Dungeon" stage could never hit me. I couldn't fall in the drill-spikes unless I really tried to. Sometimes the music disappeared.

Overall, I wish you had focused more on making this a puzzle game, as  figuring out how to win the levels was more fun than the jumping and stuff. If you were aiming for a platformer, you've used the wrong program. Use C++ or Game Maker next time. If you were aiming for a puzzle game, it was fun.

Heh; nice one. The whole,"But the princess in another castle!" thing was great once I found out the only way to beat it is by cheating in a hidden world.
Title: You didn't really have to cheat.

Did you figure out how to get around enemies? I don't think you're supposed to kill them. I think you're supposed to wait until they move right next to you and then jump over them. You have to memorize their patterns of movement a lot.

Yes,memorizing the patterns is the key of succes in this.To be honest, this game was just something like a test game in RPG Maker 2000 for me.BTW I am making a sequel, but don't worry, this time it is going to be a lot better because:

-you can kill enemies with hammers (limited number)
-you can store items in the inventory for later use
-side view changed to Zelda like view (sorry, don't know the original name for that view :D )
-differences between characters
-possible VS. mode
-better bosses (since the old ones sucked a lot)
-sometimes you will meet puzzles that need you to use your head

As far as I can tell it's something like Mario+Bomberman+Pacman

Well, I had to cheat. There were so many glitches that I died when I shouldn't have. Like, when I jumped over a Goomba for about 4 times. BAM. Dead. When I jumped over a pit for 5-17 times. BAM. Dead. When I went through some areas for 3-6 times. BAM. Stuck. When I was facing the bosses, I'd get teleported into some area, sometimes, where I couldn't move because I was half in a brick, and half in an enemy. BAM. Dead.

Neat. I played it for about a minute. If you could clean up the collision detection a little it'd be a pretty fun game to play.

Oh, what? I actually kind of liked it there as a nice,"right under your nose," kind of thing. I think you should keep it.
