Title: So whatcha looking forward to this year?
Post by: Prpl_Mage on January 26, 2014, 05:45:04 PM
I know that you are all looking forward to the New York meetup, but what about games or movies and stuff?

I'm still psyched about the FFX remake since I haven't been able to play the game for like 8 years or so. Other than that all the big releases from Nintendo, the typical Brawl, mario kart, zelda combo. Also hoping that starbound turns out to be a good game. And I have some ounce of hope for Lightning returns, can't be worse than XIII-2 at least. And then there's the wish that Monster hunter 4 will be released in a some sort of translated version available to non-japanese players. Although those Japanese nerdies sure love their monster hunter.

So what about you?

Drakengard 3, FF13 LR, FFX HD, Bravely Default (might even buy a 3ds just for this), Tales of Xillia 2, FF0 fan translation, demo of my own game?

New Smash Bros., Bravely Default, announcement of a new Metroid (shut up, I can dream).

Final Fantasy (Now) XV. Seriously not enough games are interesting me. Maybe I'm getting old.

Scratch that. I'm seeing a 2016 for this. Nothing interests me...

Well Fred, funny that you mention Mh4 because they just announced Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate coming to the west early 2015.

I'm looking forward to Smash, Mkart, Bravely Default, I guess DKC:TP, and if X comes out this year then that too.  Also for the announcement of Zelda U.

Game of Thrones season 4!

There aren't too many games that I'm really looking forward to this year. I'm really looking forward to Destiny, then I'm interested in ESO, Lightning Returns, and... well that's pretty much it.

Well there we go, just have to wait like one and a half year then!

Have they announced a release date for xillia 2 yet btw?

Also, I keep forgetting that you guys still haven't received Bravely Default. It's a pretty great game and I'm pretty sure I did everything that could be done, well except filling out the collectors book and beating all the impossible street pass bosses.

Final Fantasy VI port for ios.

I don't care about the graphics.

I dunno what I'm looking forward to... Getting a new washing machine I don't have to hit the button on every two minutes to stop it beeping? Every magic prerelease this year starting with the one this weekend, the meetup if I can make it, the miniscule possibility of homestuck... Nah, unlikely.

I look forward to lots of things but I tend to only plan them about a week in advance. Or an hour. I don't really look forward to games though I AM looking forward to lightning returns... After all I actually really liked the first two > :]

I finished Bravely Default a couple of days ago. It was fun although a bit repetitive towards the end but easily worth getting.

As for games I'm looking forward to I'd have to say Eschalon: Book III coming out next month. Easily the best indie western rpg series out there and this will be the conclusion of it all. Other then that I don't really know, hopefully they'll release some interesting 3DS games.

On the life-stuff side I'm hopefully moving to a new town soon and getting a new office for the company.

It's the story of the previous 2 games in FF6 graphics.

I really wish they'd just knock it off with Final Fantasy XIII already.

I want to see what the hell is going on with this SMT x Fire Emblem, as well as naturally Persona 5.

Yeah, sucks.  That's why I'm hoping by the end of the year we get an in-game screenshot or at least a second vague trailer that explains little to anything at all.  Because you know, Atlus.

Also, I neglected the first post, also super psyched for How to Train Your Dragon 2.

I haven't really been very interested in gaming lately... Though maybe I never really was. I'll buy the odd game on steam.

For me this year though, I think I'm gonna try and do a bit of traveling. Asides from New York, I'm making plans to go to New Orleans for a week or so in the spring. I tried to go make plans to backpack Europe, but that **** is expensive. Maybe next year.
