Anyone played this gem yet? My first thought was MINECRAFT RIPOFF! I thought
I'd stay away from the crafty little thing. Anyway, I was just browsing IGN when- Holy crap!
Terraria got 9.0!
I downloaded the game anyway. Wow! Just wow! It's pretty similar to MC in a lot of aspects, but
that's not necessarily a bad thing. That's like a game being similar to HL2 or Zelda. The fundamental
difference being the combat. It feels like Castlevania mixed with Minecraft, which sounds too good to
be true, but isn't. The combat and mobility feel much more polished than MC. You unlock varieties of weapon
types of different speeds and strengths, upgrade character stats and learn spells. What's even better is that you
can advance through the ages and start unlocking hookshots, guns and lasers.
This game is well worth the £5.99 price tag. I mean, really, what's that? It's the equivalent of 2 less drinks on
a night out. I've yet to see how much replay value I can squeeze out of this, but at the moment, this is much more
fun than MC!
-
Yes, great game. $10 was a great price for this fantastic game. It has building and mining and crafting, so yeah, it's like Minecraft. The combat, exploration, and awesome loot you can find really set it apart, though. It's similar in some ways, but totally different in enough ways to make it worth buying. I've been playing it with friends, and it's the best time-killer out there.
-
This is a game I would try, had I the money to do so.
Also, drinks sure are expensive in the UK.
-
I'll just stick with Minecraft. I generally don't care for the combat anyways.
-
I don't like the fact that the player graphics looked like they came from here (metaphorically speaking).
Reminds me of my first Game Maker project.
Which used RPGM graphics in a platformer.
It sucked.
I'd be fully willing to buy it when I'm not ****-*** broke, though.

They literally replaced all the character sprites at the last minute because up until release they were using shitty FF4 edits, and they didn't want to get sued. They should really have hired a pixel artist, the current graphics blow all of the dicks.
-
It's insanely fun with voice chat and a few friends online. I bought it yesterday and played it for 7 hours
until 4am. I have an exam coming up. I can see where this is going >.<
I seriously want the rocket boots!!
-
I have Double Jump, and that's it. I'm such a pussy when it comes to exploring too far from my house. I'm too afraid to lose all my money when I inevitably die. I would keep it in a chest, but since I can't find iron ore without venturing too far off, my chests tend to be few and filled with important goodies that I can't have clogging up my inventory.
-
Archem, you must add me on Steam (tigga17) and we'll destroy everything proper good! Just kitted my
guy out with bronze/silver armour and a silver bow. I want some futuristic weapons, though. Speaking
of going far out, I reached that Netherworld area or whatever it's called and a giant worm killed me about 8 times
2 minutes from my spawn. I spent a good 30 minutes getting my coins back and running home!
-
Dolphinman? How quirky.
-
I played it for about a week and figured I'd done all there was to do.
-
The first time I saw it I was like, hmmm, what is this game? Then I watched the trailer, I thought, Minecraft, MUST HAVE GIMMEGIMMEGIMME!!!
Also, when the mod loader gets released I'll be making mods.

...you live?

I've just looked and realised I've played this damn game for 15 hours in the past 2 days. That's unbelievably bad!
-
****, it's Gary. Wow.

This is a lot less frightening than Minecraft, so I usually end up going out quite far. I've gotten a double-jump, super speed boots, a hookshot, quite a bit of gold and silver (bars, not coins), and tons of cash. Seriously, the only penalty for death is a loss of money, so I just store that **** in a piggybank and it's all good.
I still have no clue what I'm supposed to do with Mana.

Certain items use mana as ammo
-
Yeah, I found a book ages ago that teaches me Water Bolt or something. Never use it because I have nothing Mana-wise.
-
Collect dem stars, get 10, craft into mana container thing. You should find an asston of stars if you explore at night.
-
I have a few heart containers and mana ones if you want them. I'm pretty much maxed out, character-wise.
I want to get some sort of faction going soon where we fight for territory. Me strong!!!
-
Sure, if I could find this so-called server.
-
Hahaha! Just noticed that a bot has made a thread about terrariums! I love how
they latch onto subjects and morph them into something that absolutely doesn't relate to
us in any way whatsoever.
-
I only found 17 stars thus far, so my 20 Mana isn't worth ****. No health upgrades found as of yet, either.
Hey, someone should put up server info. Someone who runs a server. Not me.
-
My friend does. Although the IP changes on every login. I don't know how servers work, but yeah.
If anyone's on Steam at the same time it's up, I'll be happy to donate all sorts of crap. The stuff you get in
the dungeon is Hella fun! :D
-
I want to play this game )=
-
I can't imagine that you would have trouble running it. Get Steam (if you don't have it yet), buy the game (it's pretty cheap), play.
Well, you could also hope for someone to send you a gift copy.
-
You shitting me?! You need a hex-core dual athlon mega intel 5.5GHz CPU and 2-SLi GTX 580s
just to play it on low.
-
You shitting me?! You need a hex-core dual athlon mega intel 5.5GHz CPU and 2-SLi GTX 580s

What.
-
What.
God only knows. Yeah, it runs perfectly on my laptop, so don't worry your pretty little face, Lucas.
It's £5.99. Just don't eat for a day, then you can have it :D
-

Actually, that would be not eating for three days, based on how much I usually spend with food... )=
-
So within the span of a day I've gone from some doofus with a magic boomerang and silver armor to a doofus wearing shadow armor that makes me attack faster holding a ridiculous mace and has fought a giant eyeball, an army of goblins that raped half of his village, and 3 humongous evil worms.
It's pretty clear this isn't any old clone of Minecraft.
-

So go for a month where you miss one day a week. I do it, and I'm not even saving money!
We're poor.

Yeah, I think that's the only section they maybe didn't do right. It's much harder to get gold armour than shadow armour
and obviously not worth the effort. I wanted to revel in my gold chainmail for a bit, but then I blinked and got full shadow
equipment!
-
Uhm, I guess I should try this, eventually. When I get the money. Because I'm poor, right now.
It's good that combats seem to actually serve a purpose rather than being an annoyance like in MineCraft.
I mean, why would I want Creepers spawning in my arse while digging a tunnel when all it can give me is Gun Powder? And even the rest... Bone Meal, Silk, Feathers... not worth the annoyance.
-
Anyone got goblins to drop their rocket boot yet?
-
So I've played 17 hours of this game so far, thanks to fruckert. This game is probably the most entertaining thing I've played all year. Definitely worth it.
-
**** your ****.
Also, Night's Edge is a pretty cool guy.
-
Yes, this game is amazing.
Generally me an Lucas play on a server that I run occasionally, although I know Lucas has his own world. In case anyone else wants to pop in and see my awful tower building/huge mines, the IP address is 71.227.228.205
Talk to me on Steam to let me know that you want to jump in, though, that way I can boot the server up.
-
You know, I'm definitely gonna show up and do ****. Right now.
-
Well, that was fun as hell.
Great day.
Went from a doofus with a magic boomerang and silver armor to a doofus wielding a lightsaber and a musket. And a magic boomerang and silver armor...that hasn't changed.
-
Enjoy that ****, because if it wasn't for me, you'd still be a doofus with a stick and a rock.
EDIT: Just checked, I have 81.3 hours on record. Christ.
-
So.
1.1 is awesome.
Kinda old news by now, but still.
I made a fully automatic obsidian generator (http://cloud.steampowered.com/ugc/631859135453012537/519C4161338300FF8E37EABD174B7F805305DE1B/), due to the magic of pumps.
Flip three switches and then the tanks refill in a couple of minutes.
Those're demon torches, btw.
-
Yeah, awesome update. New bosses are a total bitch, though. My friends and I killed The Twins, but that's it.
Having fun with the new tools, though. House security systems, lava traps, unicorns and dragons and ****. Well, those aren't tool-related, but still.
Fruck, we should play this some time.
-
GAH.
My computer melted down on december 1st. Guess how happy I was? And still am.
-
Sucks, bro. You're missing out on some serious epic.
-
Hardmode is a bitch.
Ups the whole "retro" feeling a lot. Now it feels like a Nintendo game.
Thanks Archem!
And whoever that random person was.
ed: I love the shotgun so ****ing much.
Curious as to why it costs 70 freaking gold to reforge, though.
-
Hardmode
Nintendo game
Choose one.
-
I don't get it.
-
He's suggesting that Nintendo games aren't hard. Of course, he doesn't realize that we're talking about THE Nintendo, not the company that makes fun-but-easy games today.
Yeah, that was a buddy of mine who handed over a bunch of his old ****. It's not bad, but it's not up to his level, you know? Also, no, not my Fairy Bell. I guess he dumped one off for you. Enjoy not ever using the Orb of Light ever again. Piece of ****.
-
Yeah, that's what I thought.
On both counts.
-
He's suggesting that Nintendo games aren't hard. Of course, he doesn't realize that we're talking about THE Nintendo, not the company that makes fun-but-easy games today.
I still meant THE Nintendo. You know, the NES, the SNES, the N64 of which I've beaten almost all my games.
-
It had some pretty tough games, bro. Not all the first-party titles were killer (most weren't), but plenty of the third-party games were damn hard.
-
It definitely isn't Battletoads, or Ninja Gaiden levels of insanity.
It is pretty difficult, though, if you don't know what you're doing, or, say, get ganged up on by a bunch of skeletons in a hellevator.
-
So, I play this too. Picked it up when it was $2.50 Wearing meteor armor and mostly using an aqua scepter and free space lazer. Fun game. Started slow as hell, but really took off once I started fighting bosses and was worried less about any given skeleton smashing my copper-plated ***.
And WTF @ the robe being basically Sai'Kar's robe. That and the golden crown let me make a near perfect SaiKar character. Tis weird.
-
I'll take this opportunity to say that I'M HOOKED AGAIN! Oh God! Started a new save file to get more mileage, but I can't
wait for the end-game stuff. Anyone fought the WoF yet? Anyone fancy playing multiplayer some time?
-
Yes, and yes.
Can't this week, though, because I'm helping a friend move.
-
gah
-
Anyone fought the WoF yet?
How many times? I can basically solo the fool in about a minute. Ask Fruck.
And multiplayer sounds good. I run my game over Hamachi. PM if you're interested. I might make a fresh world instead of having a bunch of you assholes running around in my friends-only world.
-
I finally managed to man the heck up and kill Wall of Flesh. And then teleported back to my base, where I was promptly killed by some werewolves.
So I can see Hardmode is going to be interesting.
-
gah
I need a computer
-
Wall of Flesh? More like Wall of Pussies. The new bosses are where it's at. And by "it", I mean "dying a shitton".
-
I'm full Adamantite now, going for Hallow. I see what you mean about the hardmode bosses. I get the
feeling that they are literally physically impossible to defeat unless in a group!
-
They are not. Seen videos. Ridiculous bullshit going on.
-
Yrmir isn't exactly representative of the average Terraria player.
Dude's kinda crazy.
-

Dude's kinda crazy.
Ridiculous bullshit going on.
-
Yeah, you've got a good point.
-
I thought I could take out the destroyer with a cursed shotgun and full adamantite. Clearly not. How the
hell do you stop all those probe things blasting your face into a crater?!
-
Having friends helps a lot. Try moving constantly. Gravitation Potions are also nice.
-
I too got curbstomped by the Destroyer, the so-called easiest boss. Yeah. I'm done with this game. I got way more than my $2.50 out of it but the hardmode bosses are too hard solo.
-
The Destroyer is the hardest boss, in my opinion. Skeletron is tough, but easy to dodge. The Twins are fairly simple, if you have great ranged/magic and Gravitation Potions. The Destroyer is an ***hole.
-
I'd like to try this game. Last time I checked it was $5.
What sucks is that I do have the money. I just don't have the credit card. I'm sad...
I do have friends who have one, but I feel awkward going "Hey! Long time no see, eh? Anyway, can I use your credit card?". So... yeah.
-
What about your girlfriend?
ed: PS, tell her I said hi.
She needs to come here more often.
-
So just hit one of us money-havers up on Steam. Winter sale is on. The game will be more dirt-cheap than ever.
-
What about your girlfriend?
ed: PS, tell her I said hi.
She needs to come here more often.
I guess I could, but... I'm not too fond with the idea of asking to use her credit card. Yes, I know, I'm weird.
Also, she says hi. And yes, she should come back more.
And Archem, what exactly do you mean by "hit us"? Like... "Hey, guys, want to buy me this game? Expect nothing in return, though, because I lack a credit card, which is why I'm asking you right now!" ? Because... well yeah, that's still pretty awkward. In fact, even more than asking a friend or Natako.
I really need a credit card... kinda sucks being unable to buy a $5 thing.
-
As cheap as the game goes, consider it a non-issue. If it makes you feel better, you could call it a gift.
-
...well I'll be honest, that'd be pretty sweet. Seems like a fun game to play.
And even if the game is only $5 right now, it's still pretty much offering it to some stranger from Canada. Who speaks French. Bien sūr?
I need to go to bed right now, though. Work tomor... today.
We can check this tomorrow. Maybe I could find anyway to pay back, though it would mainly be by using pre-paid cards or something since it's pretty much the only possible way in my case.
I... well yeah, as you know from my last couple posts, lack a credit card and last time I tried mailing something... it never reached its destination. Which really sucks badly. First and last time I use it. It might not exactly be the post service's fault, but let's just say when you first try something and it doesn't work... well yeah.
Anyway, me go bed now. Me tired... finally.
-
I really need a credit card... kinda sucks being unable to buy a $5 thing.
You can't create a temporary E card thingy then? I don't have a credit card but I can create some sort of E-master card thing while logged in on my bank. I pick an amount transferred to this E-card and then choose when it's supposed to expire. They generate me some numbers and I enter those into the required fields for purchase. Stuff like Wii points or PSN credits or anything not in-country demands it so that's the way I go.
-
Cerb, I'm SaiKar on Steam. Contact me at some point before the 25th and I'll buy it for you. I have a fairly big shopping surplus burning a hole in my pocket and I'm going to either burn it on you or people that aren't you, so it might as well be you.
-
That's pretty nice of you. Thanks a whole lot.
I must admit, though, that I rarely am on Steam... though perhaps I'll be there more often, who knows.
I wish I did have a big shopping surplus as well... I feel cheap being unable to offer anything.
I'll add you, then. And if anyone wants an absent friend... well you can add me.
I use Steam so often that I'm not even sure if you need my current username or my account name, so I'll give both:
My account name is "Cerebus_x01" and my current username is "Nightmares..." (Spooky, I know).
And Prpl_Mage, I guess I could check for those. However, I still need a real credit card. After all... gotta start having a credit name at some point. Or something. Yeah...
You guys are pretty generous. And pretty.
Vacations start tomorrow, so I'll have plenty of free time to play!
Edit: Nevermind that. Natako found out I wanted that game and offered to buy it for me. Yay!
You're still generous and I still love you in a non-gay way, though!
-
Oh geez, I ignored that friend request because I was like "who the heck is this scrub?!"
But you're getting the game, so it's all good.
-
I'm a complete scrub and you will submit.
-
Yeah, I some times change username for no reason.
But well, if you want an absent friend, feel free to add me. If not? Well don't! Or you still can. All depends on what you want, really.
If I really get into Terraria, then I'll probably be Online quite often, though.
But yeah, all's good!
-
(http://cloud.steampowered.com/ugc/630734416933111862/90DE5126DEE7382530A21E46B5089F9F5D9437C0/)
Something seems...wrong here.
-
I have some of that. Apparently, Hallow and Corruption spread, regardless of each other's turf.
-
Yeah, I some times change username for no reason.

There's no reason that you wouldn't :P
Next week I'll try and set up a dedicated server with an IP on here that opens a set time each day, and we can
try and get a good few of us on at once!
-
Man, I wish I had a Legendary purple phasesaber
-
Reforge it. I got a godly green one after like 10 tries at only a gold or so a try. I had 2 platinum sitting around at the time so it was chump change.
-
ok i quit this thread too
-
Man, I wish I had a Legendary purple phasesaber
I've got one!
:V
-
ok i quit this thread too
It hurts so bad, huh? You want a computer so much, don't you?
-
What's wrong Lucas? Even if you are an atheist scumbag, I'll buy if for you too.
-
Yeah so it's actually pretty fun so far, but I'm still trying to get the hang out of it. But yeah, I like it!
-
What's wrong Lucas? Even if you are an atheist scumbag, I'll buy if for you too.
Fruck got me a copy when he started playing, but my computer stopped working the day the new update came out :c
-
Your computer wasn't tough enough for hardmode, apparently. No but seriously that sucks bad. Though it does beg the question of how you communicate with us now.
-
Though it does beg the question of how you communicate with us now.
Magic, all BR's got it.
Or maybe a phone, or a crappy laptop or something.
-
I'm on my mother's computer. I can only use it while she's not home/not using it or late at night.
-
Can't it handle Terraria for during these times?
-
Nope.
First she told me not to download things on her computer, and then one day when she wasn't here I thought "Okay I'll just play for five minutes and then unninstall" but then it ran like **** and I couldn't play anyway.
-
Oh, I see. Sucks for you...
Hopefully you'll get yours fixed soon.
What was the problem, exactly? And sorry if you said it, my memory fails...
-
This part just sort of melted.
Then a cousin and I replaced it by the same part from an old computer and when we turned it on smoke started coming out and we unplugged it before the new (old) one melted too. Donno what's causing it, but we're gonna have to call someone who can fix it, but that will cost money which we don't have.
-
Sounds like something fucked up real bad. I think you might need to start from scratch.
Time to mow some lawns or something.
-
From private conversations I think the power supply was too powerful.
They told me they switched one from another computer, because it started smoking. And then it basically blew up after they switched.
-
just soloed the destroyer
**** yeah
I was using Warrior Adamantite, with one warding accessory (a cross), a warrior badge, Bowl of Soup/Ironskin Potion/Thorns Potion/Regeneration Potion. Main weapon was Dao of Pow, although the Adamantite Glaive came in handy some of the time.
It also ended up killing every single one of my NPCs.
-
I actually soloed all Hardmode boss, 2-3 times each. Got full Hallowed, got Excalibur (with Legendary), Megashark (with Unreal (this one costed me a lot to get)) and the Hamdrax... with Godly, just for the Hell of it. Working toward getting the Bell (need Pixie Dust and Souls of Light) and then perhaps I'll also get the Hallowed repeater.
You know what really helps? Heart statues. If you can get some, you'll be in business. I personally have 3. Guess I got a bit lucky.
The Destroyer definitely is the easiest for melee and I actually consider the Twins harder than Skeletron Prime.
I lacked ammos and had to finish him off melee the first time I tried killing him. No way I could have done this with the Twins.
If you need help or just want to have fun killing those, we can try doing it again; we won't fail this time!
I could bring my Heart Statues since they really do help, though being two, we might not need them.
-
I still think the Destroyer is the hardest. I can't solo any of the fuckers.
-
goddamn cerb
ed: Also, just did so again.
I have a full set of Light Discs and a stock Excalibur.
The Light Discs make the single most annoying sound when you fire them off in a closed space.
Worse than spamming Magic Missile, in my opinion.
-
But, you weren't there when I wanted to kill them...
I wouldn't mind helping you kill them, though.
-
Geez, you already killed Hardmode bosses? Didn't you get this game like a week ago?
-
He must've played with friends who gave him endgame equipment. Anybody with a little bit of skill can tear through the game with that stuff on.
-
Actually, no, I don't like being given stuff. Only thing I was given were the Demon Wings, by fruckert.
My vacations started pretty much when I've got this game, so I had plenty of time.
It went this way:
First of all, I built myself the Adamantite Set, both with Helm and Mask... or whatever.
Got my Phasesaber and Demon Scythes spells and then I was ready to go:
Killed Destroyer, built Excalibur, killed Destroyer again, built Megashark, killed Skeletron Prime, killed the Twins, built the Hallowed set with Helm, killed the Twins again, built the Hallowed Mask. Then I killed the necessary bosses to get the Hamdrax and am now working toward getting the Bell, though I now just need some Souls of Light.
Somewhere in between the bosses and all, I reforged Excalibur (which only took 2-3 attempts before Legendary (I got lucky)) and Megashark (which took me a couple attempts to get Unreal (didn't get as lucky...)).
Heart Statues are very helpful when fighting bosses. I have 3, so I could get 60 Health every 10 seconds. Whenever I was in real danger and already drank a potion, I'd just run around my short skybridge thing (which actually isn't very high nor long) until I could take a potion again, grabbing dropped hearts whenever I could.
The Twins really were the most annoying because it moved so God damned fast some times. Skeletron is just... long, and the Destroyer is actually pretty easy.
So yeah, pretty much, I just played a whole lot during my vacations, that is all.
-
I tried twinking him but he refused.
Also, my Megashark (which I just built) came with the Unreal modifier on it.
No reforging necessary.
****
yes

The order of events seems awfully unusual...
-
Well it might not be 100% accurate but it's something like this. Also, add "killed Destroyer again" somewhere between, "built Megashark" and "built Hallowed set" since of course, he's also required for those.
What exactly sounds unusual, though?
-
Skeletron before the twins, I'm assuming.
-
Oh, possibly. What can I say? This is how I roll!
But seriously, though, I actually think he's easier (though longer) than the Twins.
-
Getting the wings removes huge jumping and fall damage-related issues from the game. It's basically godmodding. But sure.
-
True, but it's not like it would have taken me so long to get the necessary Souls of Flight and Lights. And Feathers.
God modding would be more like giving Hallowed, Legendary Excalibur, Unreal Megashark, etc.
Only reason I actually accepted instead of farming them is when I saw that they actually were showing on your back. I needed those Demon Wings!
Oh and I had the Lucky Horseshoe for fall damage. As for jump, well... not as good, but Balloon in a Bottle and Spectre Bots give you quite a high jump, too. But yeah, of course, Wings are definitely way superior. Thoguh I actually kept all three, which gives amazing jumping capability.
Sacrificing Armour and such... but jumping!
-
Did you defeat the hard-mode bosses solo?
-
Yeah.
Seriously, if you can get Heart Statues (I have 3) it makes the way easier.
I just build myself a platform (not sure how long, I think slightly above a full stack of stone) put my Heart Statues in the middle and that's where I fought the flying bosses and I killed the Destroyer on the hill just under it (reaching it whenever I needed some health).
Only the Twins nearly got me, but I killed the bastards! Even with Hallowed they're still a pain. Spazwhatever's Green Flamethrower hurts a lot... and the jerk's pretty fast, too.

Terraria 1.2 Preview - Random Happenings (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R0DkbaytG0A#ws)
ERMAFERKINGERD
Terraria's coming back!
And it looks ****ing hardcore.
ed: PS, my dad bought it on my PS3 for whatever reason, and it's very fun on console as well.
PC's still the dominant choice, though.
-
Oh my! I wasn't sure if they were ever actually going to start work on it again! Tell me, are the features in this video all new, or present in the console port? Either one is fine, but I'm curious.
-
The console version has pets, which are useless but adorable, and an extra boss after the hardcore bosses.
Also a set of bragging rights equipment for after beating said final boss.
But other than that, no, everything that you see in that vid appears to be PC exclusive, including the Eater pet.
Although I do hope that the console version updates as well, because the half blocks are pretty frickin' cool.
ed: Oh, yeah, the console also has elite versions of normal spawns.
They're typically called Dragon [Monster].

Here's the video, again, for people on this page who are too lazy to go back one and scroll all the way down with our broken quick reply.
Terraria 1.2 Preview - Random Happenings (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R0DkbaytG0A#ws)
-
Sweet. I thought this game was dead. Hopefully they'll revive it good.
-
What the deuce? I thought the main guy ragequit forever or something?
-
No, his wife had a baby :V
-
Hm... Mayhaps I'll give it a try this time around! Not that I need something else to kill my time with.
-
I love this game. :3
-
Oh, yeah, obviously there's a (few) different artist(s) and I guess music.
The previous artist is currently working at Chucklefish, working on Starbound.
Which I'm totally going to get when it comes out.
-
Oh my gawwwwwwd! I've played the absolute effing **** outta Terraria. No idea he was updating it again!
-
If people are still playing, I'll join in! I got it a while ago and have been meaning to try it.
I'm superevil on steam (the one with a bearded man.) (Fernando!)
-
We're probably going to be playing a lot more later in the year, when the new update comes out.
Because new things!
Slopes, half blocks, underground ice biomes, and rocket launchers, yay!
-
Lemme know when you guys start up.
-
I'm planning on waiting until the patch, but am totally creating a new character/world when it comes out.
-
Yes, same. I've been wanting to play this game again for a long while, but the "No more updates, forever and ever" thing made me leave the game behind. I'm really glad he changed his mind.
-
We all are. It's pretty awesome to see that we aren't forgotten.
Pretty sure everyone's going to be making some new characters and worlds for this bit of amazing.
-
If anyone wants to play multiplayer when the update comes, I'm up for it. http://steamcommunity.com/id/thesnifflyone/ (http://steamcommunity.com/id/thesnifflyone/)
Honestly, I think I played nonstop Terraria for a week (around the release of 1.1) when I bought it and then went back to playing Warband all day erry day. The new update looks mighty interesting, though.
-
I'm honestly planning on setting up a server of sorts when the time comes.
Because I found this game to be way, WAAAAY funner with people than without.
Redigit said that he's planning on getting the update out by the end of July, but that's entirely possible to not happen.
-
Hey, where have you been?
Steam friend invite inbound.
-
How many players can be in the same server at once?
-
255!
I guess Red just used a couple of bytes for the maximum amount of players in the server, or something like that.
But you can cap it at anything between 1 and 255, so...yeah.
That might change, though, once the new server tool comes out.
-
Oh, sweet. I suppose I could join a few games here and there once the update's out.
I've barely ever played multiplayer before, so that'll be sort of new for me.
-
FFL and I have been playing lately, it's a lot of fun. Does anyone want to join us?
-
What kind of equipment do you guys have?
Want to know if I need to make a new guy, or if I can bring my already-top-tier dude.
-
We're spelunking our first dungeon, so mostly silver armor. I found the Muramasa though, and he has Light's Bane swords. Also, we almost have enough meteorites for a phaseblade.
-
I'm sitting around in the Hallowed armor set, but that's pretty boring.
-
I haven't beaten Skeletron Prime yet.
Or, more accurately, I can't seem to beat the Twins.
But I do have an Unreal Megashark, Excalibur, and a bunch of other top tier gear.
-
Yeah, I never really was able to beat all the Hard Mode Bosses. I think I was able to beat The Destroyer of Worlds, and The Twins (with help from a friend who could solo all the bosses at the same time), but Skeletron Prime was impossible.
I didn't have too much luck with loot, though, so that may have something to do with my inability to beat them.
-
I found the Destroyer to be fairly easy with a flail and the right arena, but I can't seem to do that again.
Been a long time, etc.
Hmm, I should continue on the console version.
I just finished my world's dungeon, and am currently exploring hell.
Maybe I can beat the hardmode bosses and then fight the final boss.
