Title: This old dog hasn't died yet.
Post by: elementalhero76 on May 02, 2012, 09:54:49 PM
Hello, konbanwa, buenos notches, (and your greeting here)!

I came back to this old hell hole of lost rpg things to look through your main resources site for the original authors of various midis I converted to mp3s way back when I was active here, as I'm sorting out all my old stuff I have collected in case I plan to develop a game in C.

I came here not to be here for fun after a long absence as its more along the lines that I found your main site has SQL errors when you try to download/preview midis (or anything for that matter). I'm trying to match the files I have with the originals to find the correct authors, yet, I seem to know all of drenrin's music and Ferkvbm's without trouble and they are named and credited properly.

I really don't know where to post this otherwise so I felt a long intro would be nice.

BTW, nice new forums you got here. I didn't expect my username to still exist after 6 years.

Heeeeey. I remember you.

I'm now the head admin. Not joking.

But sadly I don't have much power over the main site. Well, actually, I do have power over the main site, but I suffer from a disease that all admins save for Osmose and Alex himself suffered - a complete lack of understanding of how the CR works.
I will get in touch with Osmose and see if he knows what is going on.

Hmm that's too bad its borked. Even if most midi writers don't have half a care about their
credit given where its due, I still believe in giving it.

In other news: Yeah, I'm still chugging along with my half of a no-life *laughs*. I'm hoping that my efforts
to write a novel series will pay off and staying away from game making for a very long time,
until I know what I'm actually doing for a change... of course! RPG Maker 2003 and me never got too along.

Congrats for becoming admin.

Alright, Osmose will look into it this weekend if it all goes well.

Thanks man you are wonderful. I was also looking through old stuff going back through time. I couldn't find any of my old trouble making worth notable for a laugh or two. I've become a much better artist and writer from those days. I might find a new place to post my stuff other than Deviant Art for starters.

You're a familiar name. I'm the other official Admin (maybe), and I'm definitely not a trouble-making Global Moderator (definitely).

You can totally stick around for a bit longer, if you'd care to. Nobody will hate you, unless you leave.

I remember you. You had the black pac-ghost as an avatar. I'm mostly now focused on the novel series I'm working on...which you can find in link in my sig. Take a look if interested. No obligation to anyone and I'm not forcing or begging anyone to either.

Yes, that avatar. It's still here, but mostly themed after avatar contest themes. We haven't had one in a while, so it's still stuck at "cyberpunk".

I've been meaning to make a new one, but it's hard to find a good theme.

I lost my old Fire Ice crystal avvy. I deleted it by accident with all the others when I got this new laptop and was moving files from my old hard drive. It was my favorite. I'll eventually find a good one for here.

Likewise. Always was a good crew here.
