It's in no way wrong. There are worse things you could be doing.

I swear, if this overshadows the hype that is Ocarina of Time on the 3DS, I will be slightly pissed...

Did OoT really need a remake? The graphics are a bit blocky by this point, but the game is still very playable via emulator or Wii virtual console. And I have kind of found that zelda games don't have as much replayability since so much of the game is puzzle and exploration based. The 3DS version is gunna need to make serious additions for me to shell out major cash for it. Light Temple, looking at you!

I think LttP Needs a 3Ds Remake.

That or Link's Awakening. OR BOTH. Awakening is still my favorite zelda title, though LttP is also way up there.

It does have pretty new graphics, better lighting, nicer textures, AND 3D.
They're also working on a better menu so it's easier to change items on the fly (mostly for the iron boots in that damn Water Temple).

I'd be happy if they do it like a new Master Quest.
And if you just put the game away for a couple of years it's cool again when you find it.

Like how I played OOT, MM, WW then TP. Then some year later I actually borrowed OOT again as Master quest and it rocked the socks. Playing WW again would also be loose on the memory. I kinda remember the story and some stupid puzzle parts but not all.
Kinda like OOT shadow, forest, water and fire temple. Always have to meditate a bit before continuing there.

I went on Wind Waker the other day. The graphics are unbelievably good. They surpass 99% of Wii
games, and if they were in HD, with a little bloom here and there, you could pass it off as a next-gen game!

YES.

Link's Awakening is my favourite Zelda of all times. If they remake it, I wil- oh wait I'm not going to get a 3DS. Huh. Don't remake it. :P

Link's Awakening was, for the longest time, my second favorite Zelda game (right behind ALttP). Twilight Princess was finally able to take the second place seat.

Really? I didn't really enjoy Twilight Princess.

But again, I don't dig 3D Zeldas that much.

Truly, LA should be revisited again.
It's always been my utter favourite of the old games, and I spent years playing the same game simply because it was so interesting to play each time.
I also enjoyed Link to the Past and Minish Cap.
Never got much into the 3D iterations.

Minish Cap is my second favorite Zelda.

They should at least make another game that takes place in Koholint. Such a great place. And of course, use the same mechanics and all from the original game, changing just the plot and replacing the dungeons with new ones (hopefully still as entertaining).

EDIT: Whoa. Some dude is making a 3D remake (http://lord-mithos-kionisu.deviantart.com/art/Koholint-Island-3d-116330853). He's been inactive for like an year though :/
But he had a lot of work done. Lots of maps and all the overworld.

Yeah, that guy is awesome. He finished like every map in the game, including all those no-doubt tedius dungeon squares. But I think that was where the project stopped, as he did not want to get into actually programming a game and the inevitable lawsuit / cease and desist letter that would have followed his hard work.

I still think one of Awakening's best features was the ability to switch up your gear so much. Bomb arrows were awesome (if admittedly not all that useful) and the feather + boots combo for making long jumps blew my mind when I figured it out the first time. Twilight Princess brought back a bit of this with the bomb arrows and sniper bow but it seemed like every Zelda game these days has a new, largely unconventional weapon that doesn't survive until the next game in the series, ie that huge ball and chain. Starting to wonder if they've run out of really fun ideas. The best new item in Twilight Princess was when you got another clawshot and could spiderman around every which way, but that was just building on an old favorite in a fun way and not anything absolutely new.

Yeah. Bomb arrows rocked. Just the fact that you could do it was already awesome.

I dunno...I played OoT last year again, hoping to really enjoy it. I'm gonna agree with whoever said there isn't much replay value.

I dunno. I like the DS LoZ. (I.E. Phantom Hourglass).
And Spirit Tracks had two Items I really enjoyed.
The Sand Wand, and the Snake/Claw Whip (Looks a bit like Lucas's snake from SSBB) Grab that allowed you to swing from Branch to Branch, and crack it to your enemies.
