Title: 2007
Post by: Archem on March 27, 2007, 08:21:13 PM
You've all heard (or had the opportunity to hear) about the death of my gran earlier this year. Terrible thing. I still haven't gotten over it. My last grandparent, my grandpa, is in the hospital, and he's finally recovering from whatever got to him earlier. My mom's brother and two sisters came down from New England last week, and in the two-and-a-half days that they were here, they officially made into the worst week of my mother's (and prob'ly this family's) life (the first being the death of my gran earlier this year). They demanded money from us, demanded that we give them our dog, laid blame on us for my gran's death, treated us like scum and insinuated that we were trying to screw them out of an inheritance, and generally behaved like assholes. Just yesterday, my sister's as of now ex boyfriend left his cell phone in her room, and as she began snooping through it (like all girls do, apparently), she found evidence of what my mom put as "sneaking around with a girl" behind her back. My sister's crushed.

The year's been terrible.

Today, we're walking home from our bus stop, and we find my sister's ex waiting in front of our house. While we're outside, some other kids walking on the other side of the street begin having suspicious reactions to something along the sidewalk. I glance over and see something small, furry, gray, and white, resembling from a distance our kitten, Kit, whom we've had since a week or two before Christmas. I immediately alert my sister and her ex of the events across the street, and he goes to see if it's Kit, or just another of our neighbor's unlucky rabbits. When he returns, he's silent, and responds to my sister with a mournful hug. I start walking to where my brother gets off the bus. He's 11, and he loved Kit. I didn't want him to walk right past that. We cross over to the other side of the street, avoiding the corpse, and I tell him the bad news.

He's now crying in front of the TV in the living room, and my sister went with her ex for a walk. I've had about enough of 2007. The first quarter isn't even up yet, and it's already proven to be impossibly horrible for us. We're being forced out of our house by our "relatives" (those asshats), so in a few months, we'll have lost our house, too. I'm bracing as much as I can for what's to come, but with all the emotional stress that I've been building up over the years, I don't think I can keep my regular persona going anymore. The stress is heavy everywhere. I'm doing terribly in school now (I have a lifetime full of memories from the past month to thank for that), we're practically bankrupt, I'm beginning to fear that mine or my brother's suicidal thoughts might resurface...

The only thing good about this year is that we've managed, through hiding her at some friend's house, to keep possession of our dog. Now certainly isn't a time for atheism, so thank God him/her/itself that I can still have something to believe in.

I think I'll go throw up now.

Your relatives killed your kitten?
What the ****?
Title:
Post by: Archem on March 27, 2007, 08:33:39 PM
No. But lord, if they did, I'd return the favor.
Title:
Post by: Razor on March 27, 2007, 08:38:17 PM
If that were the case, killing someone else's kitten wouldn't help anyone. Especially the kitten.
But that's irrelevant.

Anyway man, I'm sorry to hear you're going through all of this. It's more than anyone needs to bear.

Probably the worst year of my life thus far.  Whoever said Senior year was the best year is horribly mistaken.
Title:
Post by: Archem on March 27, 2007, 08:53:12 PM
F'real. With all this crap going on with me, it'll be a miracle if I graduate this year. Senior year's hard enough by itself.

I thought my family had problems (Believe me it does). This is just...brothers and sisters acting like idiots. That wasn't meant to be offensive in any way to you.

Sorry man.

Post by: Dominicy on March 27, 2007, 09:22:38 PM
wow, Sorry to hear your having such a bad year.  but, why is your 11 year old brother suicidal?  what the freak happened for him to be like that?
Title:
Post by: Archem on March 27, 2007, 09:32:53 PM
He's going through a lot of things that the uncool or unpopular kids go through (mebe a bit more, even), but he's largely blowing things out of proportion. I used to be exactly like him, but I found an outlet. I'm hoping he can find one, too.

Stupid? Me? Perish the thought! I'm just trying to get my swing back right now.

*swings awkwardly*

I think it's still a little early... Anyways, we buried Kit in the front yard about two hours ago. Hardest thing I've had to do in years.

Meh. Yeah, it sucks when you lose a pet. Escpecially one that you've had for years. By pet I mean dog, and by had for years I mean more than a couple months. Sorry to sound cynical, it sucks, but I think you're makin too big a deal out of it. :

meh, my car died, my cat died, my brother got shot in the service (he's gonna live though), and my pool has a crack in it, but I don't bitch about it.

Meh, different people take events differently. You can't compare someone's outlook on life to your own.

Best of luck with the future, Archem.

Yeah, but you're a heartless son of two penii.
At least take iinto consideration that this covers way too many things for the short span of '07 so far, as well as the fact that your right to free speech has been [STRIKE]raped to death[/STRIKE] revoked.

2007 hasn't been all to great, but still I'm enjoying it. Some problems at home, almost got kicked out, and some problems with  my schoolwork, but still.
Archem, I it can be hard, but try to look at the good events that happend. They might've been little and few, but looking at the good, for just a moment, might help you cope with the bad a little better.

When I had to bury Coco last year, that hurt so much.

Well 2007 must be the year of punishment and suffering! Man... my aunt died from cancer. I dropped composition II. I get grounded  from the family computer till spring term ends (two months). AND some hobo asks for money from me and I almost had my life flash before my eyes because I thought he may kill me right there. The only possible good thing now is getting a job at the college book store.

I'm lovin the '07 right now.

In college doing the other thing that I've wanted to do since I was a kid, and not finding it hard at all.  Got friends here, and my old friends are doing great, family's doing great. everyone's happy. Good times.

Can't really sympathize about your pet, and I've never been picked on (for long XD)...   I've had deaths just about every year since '02, the last one being my Grandma in '06.

We don't all go through the exact same ****, so I couldn't say buck up or some **** like that.  I can say that's only March, though.  Make it 9 for 12, kiddo.

I lost my cat late last year. She was as old as me, so I knew it was coming, but it's still hard to take when it does. You just have to go with it. If you have pets then you get a lot of happiness while you have them, and some sadness when it ends. If you never have pets you don't get either.

Anyway man, condolences.

Post by: Shady Ultima on March 28, 2007, 05:53:52 PM
Damn, I guess my year isn't as bad. Mind you, my last year was terrible, but this year is half-decent.

I had to get rid of my kitten, and I hated having to let her go... but my dog drowned in our pool a few years ago, that was horrible. The dog was a year younger then me, and damn, I was so sad...

Well, I hope everything starts to turn around for you though. Just keep your head high, and keep going. Keep a positive attitude.

Post by: Ben on March 28, 2007, 06:07:15 PM
Losing Kitties is sad.

But yeah, its early.

In 04, I had one of my best buds get eaten by a gravel crusher, and my stepfather hung himself. I spent 3 months (off and on) in a hospital, and broke my toe.

And I still didnt let it ruin my year.

Animals Die. So do Grandparents. School sucks. But then the rest of life sucks more. Friends die, Siblings, enemies...

My advice:
Go see gwar. Hit the Bottle. Get a cheap hooker and do things you never would with a girl you respect.

So far this year hasn't really been much of breakthrough but I will say it's been good. And from what it looks like it's only going to get better, but then again, I guess you never know.

Please don't go emo on us. We've already lost some members to that. (They're long gone too.) I'm not saying it's not tragic, but at least nothing else bad can happen. Karma is the one thing in this world I actually believe in. A world of darkness has surrounded you, now let the world of happiness take over. :D

Forgive my rudeness, but that's something that I needed a bit of biting sarcasm for. Even though what I used isn't technically sarcasm.

What doesn't kill ya makes you tougher.

Just keep a smart head on your shoulders and things get better. Don't take to sad thoughts and ways of living as easily as others, you'll regret it in the end.

What about AIDs?

Or Polio?

Or a massive heart attack?

Or having a missile embedded in your head?

AIDS eventually does kill you, Polio made Franklin D. Roosevelt stronger. In presidential skill. A massive heart attack usually kills you. And a missile embedded in your head would... Be awesome! you could use it to fly all over the place and be a human missile or something!

A) AIDs doesn't kill you. It just weakens your immune system. It's the other diseases you get that eventually kill you.

B) I'm talking people in general here. There are many children in Africa who can't use their arms or legs because of Polio. As far as I am aware, Franklin D. Roosevelt does not count as a person.

2) If you don't die from the heart attack, your heart is badly damaged anyway. So it's possible to survive a huge heart attack, but be very weakened in doing so.

E) Until it explodes or you die from brain damage. Just look at N.Gin.

I'd also like to venture having a stroke, and having your arms and legs sawn off. Have that, Mister Bluhman.

Yes, honestly Roland enough. The only one who really CARES that you're rayne is YOU. Kirby and the others are only saying it because they know it annoys you, and it's amusing to them to watch you look like an idiot trying to defend yourself. Noone gives a damn as to who you are. Because let's be real, you like many other newbies are nobodies until you do something to prove that you're somebody. No please stop with the damn "I'm not rayne, blah blah blah.."

ANYWAYS, my year is meh.. school is boring, family is okay, haven;t really seen my friends/bf, looking for a cat, bored, I dun really draw anymore which sucks, and yeah.. that's about it.

Yeah, topic kick, yeah, double post, but it's my topic and I have something to add, so deal with it.

Today, my grandpa died.
It's only been a couple months since my gran died, and here I am again, but this time, I'm out of grandparents. He was 85, and he was ready to go, so I guess it's alright, but it still sucks. I went on a field trip today to see a french art exhibit today, and I was all happy with today, but... Someone's got a damn good sense of humor to give me one of the best days of the year for me and make it one of the worst... My little brother won't find out about this until tomorrow at the earliest, but I have to sit with this now, today, and it hurts.

I have a story.

My dad and one of his brothers were at my grandpa's house earlier today after the sad event happened, and they had a few beers and talked about how things were and how the now deceased once was, and as they were leaving, they noticed two roses on a rose bush just outside the house had bloomed since they had been there. My grandpa's finally back together with my grandma... I'm glad to hear that...

That's proof enough that there's something after all this to look forward to, that's all I need to believe in a God and a heaven. As much as this is killing me inside, at least I know that things are better now, at least, they will be better.

I'm done with this post, it's getting hard to see the keyboard with all the tears forming in my eyes and falling on the lenses of my glasses...

2007, I've had too much from you already.

I'm done with this post, it's getting hard to see the keyboard with all the tears forming in my eyes and falling on the lenses of my glasses...

2007, I've had too much from you already.

They say that to Death there's life. We all lead to Death, but we should not forget that we first had a miracle of life.

Im sure your loved one remembered the good times with his family than the bads in his moments. Sometimes tragedies can bring the best out of us. Let this be true for 2007.

I know the feeling--just this morning, memories of last year went into my head.

Rampant bullying, two rejections, a divorice, all within the span of three months.

You'll find a way out, bud. Friends help loads.

But, seriously, what the hell is up with your 'relatives'? If I could, I'd get a hockey mask, drug them, tie them to chairs, then when they woke up, I'd hold a chainsaw three inches from their faces.
What bastards.

Buddy, keep your head up.
This'll sound lame, but it's what kept me going:
'The sun will rise tomorrow!'

It's like they--Django and Sabata--said: Life without emotion isn't life, but that means having both good AND bad in life. But then the bad hits and hurts like a b***ch. But we're stronger for it afterwards. So, loads of luck to ya, Archem.

Man, I hope this helps.

2007 hasn't been too bad for me. I know how bad loss can be, even though I don't have too many close relationships. Who wants to be anywhere near a metalhead geek, right? But trust me, just keep your eyes off the ground and cheer up. I thought I was going to lose my grandpa this year too. He was diagnosed with incurable, terminal cancer. Just last week, he went into complete remission, not a single cancerous cell in his body. No one knows for sure what happened, but it was one of life's finer moments. So, in closing, cheer up and see the small miracles that happen every day.

..........
Damn, that was cheesy. I'ma need to take that friggin love song off my ipod.... messin with muh brain.......
