"Hey Purple! So you made yet another game huh?"I sure did buddy, I try to finish some type of project each year. "So what do you have this time?"Well, this time I've made a turn based system tha-"You did a turn based system last time as well..."Why yes, yes I did. This one is different though."Oh, how so?"Well, for starters you fight one on one. And in battles you have to guard when the enemy is making its' turn."So it's kinda like Eternal Sonata, Paper mario and superstar saga?"Yes, well kinda. Instead of having a momentum/ gap where you need to click the guard button to guard I present you 5 different keys. "5 different guard commands? Isn't that kinda excessive?"Well, each button represents an action. Like jumping, or ducking, matrix dodging, getting up a shield or praying to a higher power."Okay, that's kinda cool. So you have to read the enemy's moves then?"Bingo. Enemies have 5 different attacks representing each guard button needed to press. Some attacks are more predictable than others. "What about the rest of the battle system?"Well when it's your turn you get 9 seconds to input 10 commands. You can either attack or heal."And then?"Then the enemy will attack you with 5 random attacks. And when the enemy is defeated - you have to mash a button of choice in order to do a finisher and earn some more money and BP"Cool, what is this BP?"Well, BP along with your completion % decides the rank you get upon completing the game. "That's pretty neat."Sure is kiddo."Hey, will I need to farm potions and grind levels in this game?" No, not really. Each map have a set amount of enemies, a challenge and a chest. So you complete as much as you want and then you go on to the next map. "Sweet, you didn't use the RTP for this one as well did you?"Well no. I actually made most of the graphics on my own this time. Kinda went with a similar style as my old game Sprite for Life. "Similar how? You didn't add that horrible tune did you?"No, the music is made by other members. I just used the same style of the enemies and adapted this to the hero as well."Oh, thank god. So it's not another super-hard game that makes us hate you?"...Well. You might still hate me. I don't make any easy games. I take it upon myself to bring you the challenge you need in a modern world of far-too-easy games. "You suck"
