This is going to be a big project since the movie had so much in it.
STORY
Brief outline of Akira:
After a psychic blast by a young boy called Akira destroys most of Japan, it is rebuilt
as Neo Tokyo. 31 years later, Tetsuo, a member of a bike gang crashes into a child
with psychic powers. Similar powers begin to awaken in him and he uses it
destructively to prove to his gang and the word that he's not a weak child anymore
and shouldn't be treated as such. Tetsuo's powers grow beyond his physical capacity
as his girlfriend, his bike gang and the army try to save him from destroying himself
and Neo Tokyo.

Characters:
Kaneda
Kaneda is one of the main characters of Akira. He is the leader of a biker gang and possesses extraordinary skill in both riding and fighting. While Kaneda serves as kind of a "hero" in this film, he isn't your typical archetype of one. Kaneda is very haughty and commanding toward his gang members (especially Tetsuo) and constantly asserts himself against the police and all other forms of authority. Kaneda's trademark is his red bike, one of the best in Neo Tokyo.
Tetsuo
Tetsuo is one of the characters whom this film centers around. Tetsuo had a very rough childhood, being constantly in trouble and, always, being rescued by Kaneda. In time, Tetsuo began to resent Kaneda, who always yelled at him and gave him orders, making him feel inferior and helpless. In the beginning of the movie, Tetsuo is given telekenetic powers by the government. He uses these powers for evil and to show himself to be the most powerful around. Tetsuo eventually loses control of his powers and experiences a very disgusting transformation.
Kei
Kei is a member of Ryu's subversive, anti-government guerilla group. Though strong on the outside, she possesses a sensitive side that cringes and panics when she is forced to kill a security guard. Kei initially ignores Kaneda's advances toward her but toward the end of the movie opens up to him. Kei is also used and controlled by the children on numerous occasions, most extravagantly to fight against Tetsuo.
Kai
Kai is one of Kaneda's bikers. He saves Kei and Kaneda toward the end of the film and is with Yamagata when he meets his end.
Yamagata
Yamagata is a member of Kaneda's gang. He stumbles upon Tetsuo but his confrontational nature proves to be the end of him.
Akira
Akira was the fourth child to be put under government experimentations. His powers grew out of control and he ended up destroying much of Tokyo (an event that triggered World War 3). Akira was later cut to pieces and analyzed by scientists. His pieces were then encapsulated and placed underground in a very safe and protected location.
Colonel
The Colonel is a large man with a sharp mustache and an army-trimmed head. He thinks very lowly of politicians and even organizes a coup d'tat, bringing Neo Tokyo under his military rule. The Colonel, though he despises the city, still feels obligated to protect it to the best of his abilities. He is a very strong leader and a capable fighter.

that movie is great, i can't remember if there was a graphic novel. that same guy i think has another anime movie coming...
but anyways I'd love to play your game. I know you have to have motorcyle riding. I wanna ride Kaneda's bike!! I WANT Kaneda's bike...

I think I saw the moivie... but I only can remember the boy crashing in the other psy-dude... I saw it really long ago, so I can't remember...

Okay Blaze you can, Katushiro Otomo did make 6 Volumes over 300 pages i think per volume. The movie Steam is the movie he made and I saw it in California, but slep in the middle of it it was really good

Well I never heard of the movie, but it sounds like it'd make a good game. :)

there's a real bike like that's it probably costs 100's of thousand of dollars
