It's a real codeing language, and requires quite a bit of careful practice. It's for making programs and such, as well as some PC games, there are also other programming languages.

First off- don't kick topics that're that old.

second- C++ isn't a program Like RM2k. C++ Is an actuall coding language.

If you're getting into programming, I would sugest Java as a first language.

Are you NUTS?! Java is a horrible first coding language!

Something that actually makes SENSE to someone who hasn't coded before, like Visual Basic, would be a good starting point.

I just think starting out with the whole OOP is a good idea. And, yes, I am a little nuts.

Asakura: HTML doesn't count. It's not a coding language, it's markup.

I started with QBasic, tried Pascal, failed horribly, now switching to Visual Basic, in which Charas.EX will be made.

You know, our local collage is giving C++ lessons to all those who want it... $500 for 10 lessons during the summer. They garuntee you'll know everything abour C++ by the time its over. There's also a Java course for $300... If only I had money..

Waste of money. There's this thing called the internet with all the info you'd ever need, and it's free.

I do dabble, http://charas-project.net/forum/images/msgicons/msgicon6.gif but there isn't a real... point to it. I don't think anyone enjoys sitting there typing, and there's a slim chance that anyone will enjoy any of your crappy creations.  Coding is for when you are bored.
No offense.... uhm, Darkfox.

I'll snail mail you my C++ Primer. We need an eye rolling smiley.
