Title: New Games!!!!!
Post by: Legendary Troy on April 15, 2005, 07:09:05 AM
I got a bunch of new games (early birthday present) and i think game makers are getting better.

For example Dynasty Warriors 5, dispite of the fog in two player mode and the removal of vs mode, this series is getting better, i like the new characters and new moves

do you guys ike any new games that have improved or that was just made?

I'm currently borrowing Doom 3 from my friend. Fun game. I'm usually not an FPS person, but I'm liking it so far.

Doom 3 is a kickass game. I heard somewhere someone had recorded when a guy was playing it in total darkness and screamed from time to time. Fun.

Im waiting for the new zelda. Gonna camp the store when it arrives ^^

Dynasty Warriors 5 rocks! I totally love it! The new looks are soo awesome, especially Zhou Tai. The new characters are fun to use but some stinks....

Pang De: Slower than Xu Zhu o.o
Xing Cai: Pathetic combo
Ling Tong: Awesome combo, sucky Musou
Guan Ping: Haven't unlocked it yet
Cao Pi: Just your average warrior
Zuo Ci: Haven't unlocked it yet but I fought against him...he's tough

Any fan of the serie MUST try Dynasty Warriors 5.

I don't really think new games are getting better.

Most games start with a simple concept that turns into a game. It goes over well and people like it, so they make a sequel. Problem is, they feel obligated to change enough stuff to make it seem like a new game but retain the feel of the old. It often doesn't go over well and so the sequel might be pretty good, but it doesn't have the thrill of the first one.

I'm playing on Xmen Legends. Takes some geting into, but It's really fun, especially with friends. I like the way they've finally started fusing RPGs and beat 'em ups.

I'm buying used playstation games right now to play on my computer, right now, I think a lot of them are better than PS2 and X-Box games. Who knows, maybe when the new systems come out, I'll buy used PS2 games for 5 bucks and think that they were good too, but I don't think its worth spending $50 to buy any game right now.

Yeah, that one's probably on the wishlist for every GC owner in the world.

I've been playing a lot of FFCC lately; it's actually a really fun game despite the lack of a tangible stroyline, and it would've been better if the multiplayer wasn't so hard to use. I'm also playing through ToS for the 10th or so time, it's also a fun game, but it does get repetitive after a while. (After beating Abyssion on Mania at level 50, there isn't a lot to do other than completing the figurine and item books, and that's boring anyways.)

You know what game I want to try out? Geist. I saw an article about it on IGN, it looks like a really original game (It's an FPS, but you're a ghost, and you can possess people and things, then use them to solve puzzles and stuff.)

And I also want more info on Mario 128; hopefully, it won't bomb like Sunshine did.

You know what they must make, a MMOFPS (Massive Multiplayer Online First Person Shooter for the newbies out there) for the PC.
One that takes place in WW1 or WW2 around the world, different servers for different battlefields. Now that's a game I will pay 30 bucks a month for.

If its an ongoing battle, it wouldn't work too well, if one team manages to beat the other team, they can just sit around and pic off the other team's members as soon as they apear.

Otherwise they have games that are very simular to your idea though, can't remember any specific ones at the moment though.

$30 a month? Thats more than most internet connection costs themselves.

well...I got Fifa Street but I can never win a game! I always lose 5-4 no matter what team I play against...I prefer C&C Red Alert 2: Yuri's Revenge for it is much funnier and you can brainwash what ever you see!!!

FF8 and FF9 had no lower standard then FF7. For FF8 they tried a few new things, like the way you get gil for example, and some people (including me) didn't like the game as much for the new things added. FF9 did just the opposite, it went back to the style of the old games, which can be seen throughout the whole game.

They screwed up in FF10 though when they thought they could make up for a bad story with good graphics.

Its all a matter of opinion on most FF games one whether they were good or not, but it is my opinion that they all (except for 10, 10-2, and FFTA) had the same high standard.

As for an FF7 re-make, I doubt they will ever do this. They may re-release it for a later system like they did with FF1, 2, 4, 5, and 6, but I doubt a company would remake an old game if they can make a new game.

the new zelda is on top of my list, i reserved it last month.
mario 128 probably will suck, i think they might try something "innovative" again

snake eater: was PSP worth 250$... and i owned god of war, awesome game, not as much replay value as i would like.

whoever played it: i have never played a dynasty warriors game, what are they like?

Dragonblaze: FF10 tied with 8 and 9, nowhere close to 7, IMHO
