I am just wondering is it illegal to sell a game i make on rpg maker 2003 or xp.
-
Yes it is.
And why would you want to sell an RM2K/3/XP game anyways? It's probably not worth it.
-
well in school next year i wanted their is a course where we make a product and sell it i though it be kool to sell a game i would make from scratch using none of rpg makers stuff i mean just useing the program engine but i though that be alright.
-
plus, how would you sell someone your game....
-
Exactly. It is illegal and that's that.
-
how about if i made a product and gave my game away as a bonus am i allowed to do that
-
You could, but I doubt it would do much.
-

Great Job! You kicking a topic for no reason! Yay!
-
lol...if Topic Kicking is congradulated then what about kicking the Plastered Walls in an old building?
-
well, technically you could sell the game.
That is if you made every resource or used teh ones that come with RM2k3/XP
And if you bought the full legal copy of it which is sadly only in Japanese for around $110 or so.

Please don't kick old topics...but since you're new, I'll forgive you. ;)
-
Even if you had a totally legal version of the maker and did your own resources, my guess is that somewhere in the user lease agreement you are agreeing not to distrubute your games for profit when you use this product.
-
It does, I have the japenese version, translated also and I just reinstalled It on my laptop and checked. It is somthing like "When the user agrees to the registartion of this program they agree not to redistribute this for profit, or any of the following... BLAH BLAH BLAH."
By the way sorry I never paid attention when I kicked thisin the first place. :(
