Title: "Teams" section?

I saw some teams, here and there.
The Swedish translation team, the Dutch one, VG Reapers, Whitewolf and FuryFox...
So i was thinking: why not creating an area for them?
Yes, often only one or two threads are enought for a team.
But in the "all of all" section, they can get lost within other posts.

So i want to ask you if you think this can be useful.
If so, this is what i ask you:

1) a name for the section (Teams sounds a bit reducing, maybe)
2) a short description for it
3) where to place it under (Charas Project Extra Stuff or Off-Topic?)

Obviously, there is also another need... the teams! ;)
So, i will move there the "completed" ones (as the translators threads) becase they're teams and in the future they may collaborate again.
If "alive teams" round here want to be included there, please write here: i'll create the new section only if i'll see someone that will fill them.

Let me know your thoughts!!!

Hmmm... you mean like a seperate section for each team? That'll help out.

If that is the case then it would be like this for ours.

1: VG Reapers
2: We rip Battlechars, Battle Animations, and somtimes charsets from games by request.
3: I think it would go under Charas Project Extra Stuff.

You may make improvements to #2 to make it sound better if it seems kinda lame.

Ok, ok!
Follow my ides, now.
What i'm thinking is adding a new "Teams" category after "Off- Topic".
Then, whithin this category, a new forum will be created for every team. This way, you can have as many threads as you need.
In one word, you can have one thread for every request, or whatever the Team need.

But you have to guarantee you'll follow it! ;)
So, forget the 3d question. New questions are:

1) the name of your section
2) a short description for it (max 80 characters, including spaces etc)
3) the list of the posts already made that needs to be moved in the new section (urls, thanks!)

Will wait for your answers. I'll open the new section when at least 3 teams will answer completely.

Hmmm... allright... so instead of having a single huge thread we can have multiple ones for each person? Hmm... or persons... oh well... ow my brain hurts...

Yeah, i did it!
Then, VGReapers and Movie thread are in the new section.
In 3d Brotherhood of the Tyrants i moved whitewolf and furyfox threads.

I've created your board too.
Anyhow, Dark Cloud, your situation is a bit different.
So here is what i ask you:
1) to add the welcome&rules thread
2) to invite, in that topic, other faceset creators to join your team.
This is because it's better to have dedicated teams for dedicated actions.

Unfortunatly Dark Cloud's section is not living, he is not reall present there... I think i'll have to delete it, one of these days (i'm sorry, but i need living threads in teams).

So kAiRoU, what about you?
Will you answer in your forum? Will you be present?
Again, what i need is you to do:
1) to add the welcome&rules thread
2) to invite, in that topic, other battle chars and chars editors to join your team.

Considering the Area you're moving on, just one rule is ABSOLUTELY needed: post the origins of EVERY resource (author, website where you find it, etc.). In one word, make possible to identify as much as possible where the resource came from. :mrT:

yea i thought it be a neat idea to make a beta tester section/team this way people dont have to search for them instead they are in just one section

This is not enough to create a team, moiledzep.
As i said, i need living threads in teams, and one persons team are too riskful.
Maybe better trying to find team member before, open a thread where you say "i can do midi files for you" into resources and see if your team could be a living one.
As an example, look at the "requests for SaiKar" thread.

ok,I have thought of a team and I slept on it. The team is going to be called the character creaters. and what we do is create a character set, a face set, a picture, an explention, and a small bio for who ever may need one all they have to do is post what the hair color is or what kind of clothes they wear or just that they know what they want their name to be and we will create a charater for that person.

Ok I have another Idea for a Team...... well actually more of a bunch of small teams in one...

I know sometimes people try to make a team but it isn't worth making a whole board for it so i thought why not make a board in the teams section for teams that can be created using one or two threads be put in there... and if the team shows that it needs more space then it could be considered to ask for its own board...
This will allow the people to have a space for a one/two thread team and it wont get lossed in the all of all or the request by going back 5 pages....

but considering more than one small teams will be in here I may need help to mod it.. so I talked to Ghost Clown and i would like him to help mod if this board gets created..


Name of board: Mini Teams
Description: Got a team.. but you can make it in one or two threads... or you want to see where it will go and if it's worthy enough to become larger then make your mini team here


this is just an idea...  i had a long time ago and GC said why not just give it a try so here it is

I like that idea. It could be kind of a "proving grounds" for new teams. If they take off and do well then they get their own boards, but if they fall apart then there is no new forum to delete.

Okay Alex, this is an idea the Gamerman4 and I had.  I came back to see that he had take over where I left off in doing Title Screens and Game Overs.  So we've been PMing each other about just making a team for it.  Gamerman4 will be doing the Titles and Game Overs and actual Rm2k(3) related gfx.  I, however, will be doing non-rm2k(3) related gfx, examples: Web Graphics (Banners, buttons, logos etc.) , Logos, I may do some titles if he's not there, Avatars for the forum, Sigs for the forum, (you can check out some of the ones I've already done in the requests foum.).   That's almost it, we will do titles, game overs, and any non-rm2k related images also.  hence why the name will not be so streightforward:

Flash animation isn't uploaded yet but i have one.

Ok, i'm "a bit" back.
Still have connection troubles but finally i'm here.

I created the mini teams board.
Reain is mod of that, at this stage i think one mod should be fine.
Now...

TO REAIN:
Please post a sticked "welcome and rules" thread, explaining everything users have to do in order to propose a Team.
Destroy immediatly every spam or unuseful thread in there (and write this clearly in the welcome thread).
In the future, we will also check if all of the actual teams deserves a whole board or not. In case of negative answer, their main threads will be moved in the "mini teams".
In the welcome thread, specify also the name threads have to do to avoid confusion: something like "[BetaTesters] requests"

TO TREVLAC:
Well, i really think you may help us experimenting this!
The "Mini teams" board is open, you may try opening your threads in the way Reaing suggested before, so we'll be also able to check if the system works.

This is probly not my place to say, but the point of the Mini TeamsTeam was to eliminate the creation of more teams, even thogh it may be in a thread, that doesnt mean you can treat it just like a real team. You can still go and find members, and a banner,
But this is just my point of view...

Ok if anyone is wondering why these are unstickeyed i am doing it because i see the sticky area of all of all as cluttered.  tehy can always be restuck if it becomes a problem.  im just trying some new stuff.  I'll post this in all the ones i unstick to let ppl know what ones i unstuck.
