Title: Metal Gear Solid IV Rise of a new threat
Post by: Sephiroth12317 on June 08, 2005, 12:04:43 AM: Yup! A new game! In this MGS game you start out in a Terrorist Facility with only a pistol and your knife. I'll post a bio on who you play as. (Snake of course!)

Real name: David

Code Name: Solid Snake

Age: 31 (Im not sure how old he really is, if you know tell me)

Info: A legendary hero who has thrice saved the world from the menace of Metal Gear in the past. Solid Snake is an infiltration expert who always completes his missions no matter how difficult the odds. Originally a member of FOXHOUND, now a member of the NGO "Philanthropy", an anti- Metal Gear group.

Post more info on him if I left some out

Post by: GhostClown on June 08, 2005, 01:23:01 AM: The best way to make a MGS fangame, is to make it like 'Ghost Babel' or 'Ac!d' It's the same basic characters but the storyline is totally different and does not touch the real storyline what so ever. And, if you do not plan on spending time on your game, and expect it to be not so good, then it's best not to make it at all. Just my opinion.

Thanks! And dont worry i know it wont be the best because like what darkfox said I dont have the 3D stuff lol. Also you can make some characters. I'll see if I could put them in.

I wanted to make a MGS game, but I had no resource and no idea on how it should be! I said that and I say to those that are thinking that MGS RPG would not be a good idea that they need to see how the people loves to make RPG, even Zelda will have RPG now!

Oh, and I love MGS! ;)

Here is something to help you...

*Involve the Patriots of course/la-li-lu-le-lo
*Vamp HAS to be in it
*Bring back Meryl

Ok here we go....what im going to do is of course have vamp in it! Meryl? Im not so sure yet.....But the Patriots I may not because like snake eater said I dont want to mess up the whole thing and I dont want to disappoint anyone here. I really dont want to upset Snake eater cause I may need his help on thing one lol. Also its called Rise of a new treat so Im going to have new bad guys. And Im also going to post the Story line after im dont typing this. and about the combat Im going to try to find out if I can make it so you run around and puch like the space bar and a bullet comes out lol.

This is not going to really be like the others! if I make it just like the others and I dont do such a great job then I wouldnt be really helping out the stroy line for the series! lol

One day when snake is relaxing, he gets a call saying there is a new treat somewhere in a small underground base in the middle of a small desert in Arizona. When he is finished talking of his phone he gets a ride from a Military chopper a few miles away from the base. Then he walks from the landing point to the base. When he gets there he looks threw and window near the entrance above the underground base....and you see the master mind to whats going to happen (you'll have to play the game to find out what will happen)....Raiden. And then you have to play the game to see what happens next! Tell me what you think of it! :D

Not yet but Im working on it...I may post a scrn of the area you start out in and a test battle. I may change the battle system.

MGS3 Futile (This was before MGS3 came out)

Snake Raiden & Otacon trying to stop a flying Metal Gear. Metal Gear RAVE. Oh, and a new foxhound secret agent named Raven was introduced. Yep, but I stopped because I was afraid of ruining MGS if I didn't make the story right.

You're obviously a newb at rm2k3 and doing a big project like this to begin with is a bad idea. I suggest making an entirely rtp rpg, testing out all the features and such. When you're comfortable with the program, THEN make this game.

I have been reading throughout this thread and I was wondering if it's ok to give you some tips.
If you are taking a "Break" from making your game, you should try to look up abs systems on gaming world, or other tutorial websites. Try messing around with them and adding your own stuff. The best way to learn is to experiment.
PS: You can also look for resources and plan ahead your game's story by either adding/deleting scenes.

Thats what I've been doing, looking on gaming world. Its really helping also Im getting help with the CBS from a friend. So dont worry my game will come out sooner or later! lol
