Title: Problem with importing!

Hey, I just downloaded the offline version and was making my charset.  I saved it as a .png but when I tried to use it in my game, it still has the backround around the character.  So I saved it as a bmp and tried to import the file, but it said the image size was wrong.  Can anyone help?
