Title: Getting ready...
Post by: shinotebasiiackh on June 25, 2005, 04:01:41 AM
To kick some butt tommorrow.

Tommorrow at 10:00 AM I will be getting up to go to an interschool Martial Arts Tournament.

I'm going to be competing in forms and sparring.

This should be fun.

I'll tell you all how it goes.  :D

Kenpo is strong.  But I've been doing Martial Arts since I was in 6th grade and I will say of all the ones I have taken Hapkido is the most useful and painful.  It is also very well-rounded.  I refuse to take Martial Arts at one of those watered-down Americanized schools.  I am now taking (as of this summer) Selot (sp?) , Kali, Muai Thai (sp?) and Tai Boxing.  A few other minor ones but no biggie.  I really suggest that Selot one.  It is just ruthless.

I don't take any martial arts. But I do box, pretty good at it too. Good luck anyway. Bring me back a few toes. Or a whole foot if you can get one.

Allright. I got:

2nd in sparring

3rd in Forms and Sets (I fucked up at the end, and forgot to wait for them to score me. I kinda ran out. Apperantly one of the judges was mad that he wasn't able to give me 1st)

And an internaly bleeding stomache. The sparring is the only thing that really got me mad. This one guy, who didn't even have a ****ing belt on, came into the teen/adult white - orange belt part of the comeptition. He knocked someone in the face pretty hard, got a good jab to me in the eye and did a (n excelent) roundhouse kick to my stomache. That was an hour ago and it still feels like I got stabbed. I REFUSE to belive that he was supposed to be in that section of sparring. He fought NOTHING like a yellow belt.

Anyway, my stomaches really hurting, and I need to lie down. See yall later.

Remember kids, thats why you should NEVER fight, this is an sport, and he is already pretty injuried in this sport, now lets see if he survives in a real fight.

I'll only be trained by an American man who was been to the country that type of martial arts is taught at and he learned from them over there.

Thank you for the support.

And, Grandy, don't simply assume that I suck at martial arts because I didn't get first. Fighting someone with years more experiece than I is not quite what I would call fair. Second place still isn't anything to sneer at.

I've survived two fights. One with a thirteen year old, and one with a thirteen year old and a sixteen year old ganging up on me. the first time, I walked away unharmed, the second time, I kicked their asses.

I was eleven at the time.

My plan in a real fight is this. Since a real fight isn't like in an anime, you get tired real fast if you fight. Just let your opponent punch and dodge the throws. When he gets tired, grab him and throw him down. You don't get tired and might not get screwed. I've won all but 3 fights like that. 2 of those 3 I got my asskicked. Hard. And he knew martial arts. Go figure.
