Title: can't start game

When I try to test play my game or if I try to the sample game
Nothing happens when I hit enter. I can move up and down between start,load, and end but can't get anywhere from there.
I have already un/reinstalled twice.

Do you have a starting point set?

yes  I have a starting point. this is just started happening out of the blue. One day it was working the next day it wasn't. Like I said it doesn't just happen when i try my game it happens on the sample game too.
