Title: Dream Maker- Free Play

This is an idea for a large, flexible rm2k3 game similar to .hack// seris for ps2. The catch: almost no story. There is a background story, but everything else is is simply run around and have an awsome time. There are a lot of people this weekend who are mad that no one gets help, or there are no finished games. This game is made by you. Anyone who wants a "Private Area" can send me some info about it. Kijuki's got one, and some others i'll force them into it.

You can basicly input 3 numbers at a time and warp to an area. Events will be active at certain points of the game, and you can axquire access to Secret Areas.

Features:

Semi-Infiniate areas
ABS (Most likely not, but i hope)
Constent update files
Charecters galore! At least 5 charecters to select from, plus at least 12 charecters to form the ultimate party!

Any one can have a secret area, but they will have to locate them themselves, adn have to met with there charecter, also, if anyone would like to be playable, send me a char set, and a sprite sized btchar of uyour disred charecter. i'll take care of everything else.

Wow, this is a really good idea. I once had a similar idea to make an rm2k3 game like EverQuest or World of Warcraft. I'll be looking in on this one.

Clans and Guilds

In the begining of the game, you will be able to select a "Union"
 to join.

Guilds- Formed as orginized Bounty hunters. They have normal Classes and given normal Warp Rights. After the guilds Rebel War, the Queen at time signed them as second grade Knights.

Clans- One step above the Guilds after the War. THey have a stronger use of Magic, and are usualy the mebers are unusual races.

Knights- This Union takes 14 years of training, and is awarded to special worriors. The Knight abbility is alowed or "Private Area" Charecters. yuo are unable to select this at the begining of the game.

I was going to do one (or both) of your battlecharas, and you said the reward would be to be included in your game. If possible I wouldn't mind being playable.

Also, what is this about "secret areas"? Does it mean yo have a location in the game where you have an NPC in that location for others to find? I have played .hack. Does it mean you would have some kind of dungeon? Also, I did'nt understand what you meant about knights. What would your character have to do to become a knight?

1. THe battle char must be holding a weapon.
2. Secret areas mean you plan an NPC and the area it lives in.
3. Dungeons are optional.
4. Becomeing a Knight is forbiden to the player's chosen Main charecters, but only to secret charecters.

Ok I understand now.

It would be very easy for me to add a couple extra frames for the character to have a weapon, and I will. Also, I am able to make weaponsets for spritesized characters. I will post an example. If you would like any made, just ask in the weapons thread.

1. Yes
2. If te charas has the weapeon thats good, but the battle char must be sprite sized and have a weapopn.
3. Yuo can go to any area and meet with other charecters includeing your self.

Not true in any case. Your idea is not at all Charas last hope and redemtion, you can't condemn a community on one tiny game idea. As for serious project ideas... you have a tendacy to drop those even after saying you won't. So how are we sure you'll finish this one? And how are we sure you won't just say "Your fired" to people who are absent for a few days or just for no reason at all?

yea i hate to say it, but the rtp chipset is a bit tacky, especially considering there are way better chipsets out there. maybe thats why this is version 1.0? idk...

I would prefer your grudge off the forums, afterall it did start on AIM didn't it? I'm just very weary of this age old conflict that took place years ago. Quite frankly I forgot about it until now and I believe I have already appologized for it. Plus it is the stupidest thing to carry a grudge about. Stupid really.

Here's how it went:

Kairou kept trying to play a prank on me, pretending that he was dead and that he was his bigger brother. It was day after day, and he finally threatened "One day I'll make you cry!" so I said "Enough is enough" so me and Mid decided to play a prank (earlier Kairou had a crush on her and kept hitting on her and said stuff like "She will be my girlfriend" and garbage like that and I was like "Yeah... right" kinda made him mad.) the prank was that me and Mid were boyfriend and girlfriend, he started getting into it like a madman and we finally decided to say "It's a joke" and he was like "RAAAWWWWRRR! I'LL GET YOU!" totally blowing up and being excessive over a rather harmless prank, yet he himself pulled pranks like "I'm married" "I love you" "I'm 35" "This is Kairou's brother, he's dead" "I'm on the darkside now."

I felt it was about time for retaliation, and I didn't cuss him out or anything like he has done to me in the past so why does he have a reason to be angry? Has he obsessed over that single incident and let it mutate? And he already said he forgave me for that, XD ironic.

Kairou AKA L6, when you read this I'll be waiting on AIM...

Pranks are fun, people are ment to laugh at them later. but i was a kid back then. I'm older and more mature. a lot of the most recent posts didn't have any thing to do with the game. Its all just a huge mis understanding.
I just planned on ducking out and comeing bakc when the people who remebered it, adn you go and tel everyone everything.

List of Classes:

Sword Master: Fights with swords

Force Master: Fights with elemental magic

Light Mage: Uses white magic

Axe Bringer: Fights with axes

Spear Holder: Fights with lances

Double Knives: Fight with twin blades

Bow Caster: Fight with bows and crossbows

PRIVATE CLASSES
These classes are reserved for secret charecters and other charecters.

Clan Master: Fights with a sword, exesive strength

Knight: Fights with swords and beam swords, can pass through "Hidden Areas"

Obviously the change in you was zero percent because every charas member correctly identified you as Kairou almost immediately.  Good luck with that.  I don't think you will change.  But just to try and help, just say this over and over again next time you think about posting: "the internet is fake."  Osmose taught me this and it works wonders.

He was bringing up the past in two threads, not me, but it's over now, thanks again for proving my point that people open their mouths in a subject matter before making an examination. But it's over, and as you've seen I've said nothing more.

Btw, maybe the game could work. But it seems like revisions and such would be a constant bother.

Well DF, the thing with the reversions are that new players will get the latest version, and old players will get to use  any ones they wish. The reasons are that it is such a large game it would take a year to get the first planet finished, and due to its reputation, i want it out a-sap.

PROGRESS
The first version will hold:
First Planet: Melk Rando, 20%
Charecters: About ten if btl charas come in soon 40%
Areas: Not a lot, but over time it it will fill up. 6%
Items: 9%

yea, obviously the chipset isnt rtp. duh, i knew that, you posted it. but alot of the things in the chipset are either rtp or modifications of rtp. but the chipsets are 1 of the least important parts of the game anyways....

ill finish my battlechara when i finish the ones im doing for you. so im sure you will understand if this takes a while.

other than that, the game sounds good.

yea. so my battlechara will probably be fixed (ill add the weapon stuff) in like a week or a little over a week.

I've changed the layout of the Obligation Palace to be less like the Root Towns of .hack, and more like the guilds in Fabel. There will be a main hall with:
Save Point
Information
Other Worriors
and other rooms:
Armor/Weapon Shop
Star Map Scociety
Magic Shop/ Item Shop

NEW:
Pet Shop: Buy a pet and raise it in the farm, Feed it and take it out into the fields for more exploration.
Pet Farm: Play and raise your pets, when the requirements are met, you may take them out to the field.

Well you have too be pretty careful with battles. You have too make them average when not having A hire and still not too easy when having someone of thoose 3 at the HQ

You could do alot with hired members... May I suggest that if you go to certain places with certain hired members that events are triggered? That would encourage players to hire different people to find all the secrets.

Explaining Hired Members:

After you pay for a member, they apear in your HQ forever, and can be taken everywhere and anywhere. Remeber that ship from Don's Advenure? As for Moose's idea with Hired Member, each charecter will have some events in areas, but most are just used for war.

Ideas for Events and such, the story plot for now is kinda short, so a lot of side quests will fill the gaps.

You can make some hidden charaters or bosses.

Or have a special place where the hero can play all kinds of mini games

Or place where your pets can battle with other pets.

I'm planning to make just one specific pet (i.e. Grunties) that way races will be smother. But the Pet Raceing comes later on. As for bet battles, thats just not the style of the game.

Updated Clan List

Sword Master
Fight with swords. There status are pritty well round, as they are useuly young students of the Dynasty Knights.

Bow Caster
Fight with bows. Quick fighters with a low amount of skils.

Light Mage
Magic users. These worriors use no phisical attacks, and stand in backs to use magic to support allies and weaken enemies.

Double Knives
Fight with two sharp blades. Quick to fight with speed and agility. A vary useful class, as the weapons are abundant.

Spear Hold
Fight with a long spear or lance. Slow but versital. the attacks are useful, and the charecters are often found.

So no block Adept guy, you see why
a. no energy beams
b. no forcemaster with a gun.

and as for X_Marks, the fact that you do not know what a chocobo makes me laugh uncontrolably.

Cattle Update.
Ok, a lot of people are interested in the Animal Raceing, and i had a few ideas. First i thought about makeing something of a cow with a longer..nose...thingy..but it looked to much like a grunty, so my next ideas will be:

Horse-Gerraffe mix (I dunno)
Bear-bird mix (Like a griffen but with less wingish features)
Demon-dog mix (which would not be a hell hound, but a demon with 4 legs and such)

any other suggestions are welcome.
