Title: Battle Charset
Post by: Zerlina on July 16, 2005, 08:16:14 PM
So, this is my first attempt at making a battle charset.

The body shape is edited from the rtp, the hair and shoes are edits too. The clothes and face, shading etc I drew. This is an enlarged version because this sprite is a bit smaller than the rtp and wouldn't show up too well.

So here you are. That's all I've done so far.

Please tell me what you think. This is my first attempt!

Sorry to double post, I don't know how to edit attatchments. Here's one that's a little better (probably you won't notice the difference, but I do  ;) )

Shoes are different XD

And that an exception for double posting; you can't edit attachment so you are welcome to double post for this kind of stuff.

Good work too, better than others.

Thanks for the feedback.

I just finished another (I'm only doing the first frames so I get an idea of what to do).

This one (besides the body shape which is edited) I drew from scratch.

It's good. I see some places where the shading could be a bit better, but you're learning and you're doing well, so this is good.

I assume that your second character is a girl, but she looks... ah... as flat as a board. You might want to work on that.

Much better.

They're good. They're great. It's been a long time since I've seen someone make battle characters like that. I can't wait to see the whole sets.  :)

Great for a beginner, and you're improving with every try. You're probably already better than me :D

I think Sai ment flat chest-wise... anyways they look nice and if you make enough of them e-mail/PM alex he might add them to the battle generator...
