Title: Camp Fire

I'm making a scene with a camp fire.  It is dark out side and there is a fire going.  How do I make everything dark but the fire, and maybe add some light radiating from the fire?  Thanks to whoever helps. :)

Make an image that is very light and red above the fire and then gets darker in the corners and make it 50% transperent or something in that way.
