They are very well striving, IN JAPAN. They would never release a RPG Maker like ASCII did because they are very biased towards other countries. If you have checked their past actions you'd notice they avoid even the slightest bit of porting.

1. Yes, it were the Chines. If all the chinese people would walk past you in a single line it would never end due to their reproduction rate.

2. It wasn't war between the US and Japan. Japan started to war as a lust for power of the Pacific. Thus it was a bad thing of them and they take the full blame.

The Japanese need more resources as the country had not enough self-efficient resources. They had to do alot of trading with america and the west. You don't know how much that program costs though... My Dad works for a company that sells it's software at a million dollars each :p
