Ok all, i'm new to all this so i'l describe my upcoming story to you all to the best of my ability. This is basicly like the prologue to the story. :p ( Don't hate me if I write too much, I get caught up in these kinda things)
Every 60 years, a dark angel is born among earth. These dark angels look like any other human but the only difference is that they have black wings, a much longer lifespan, and many unique powers deep within them that can be unlocked through training. Training can only be obtained by an Elder, a much older Dark Angel. The humans despise these angels. They believe them to be evil and possibly angel outcasts thrown out of heaven. But they got it all wrong. Over 300 years ago there was a war among Human and Dark Angels. Noone knows who won this war. Some would say that human won. Some would say that the dark angels are just waiting to regain their forces. Noone knows. It has been about 60 years since the last sighting of a dark angel. Somewhere on earth there will be another to add to their population.
A boy named Shaden has been born a Dark Angel. He discovers at the age of 5 that his grandfather is also a dark angel and is taught much of his race, the human race, and the war years ago. After a while, his training finally begins. One of the powers his grandfather taught him is to pull his wings inside of his back, and be able to retract them back out to disguise himself among the humans. Yet, there are pros and cons to this power. Yes, it's a great disguise...but there powers are then limited when this is done.
Shaden is now a 12 year old boy and his grandfather has taught him everything he knew. He has even mastered flight and swordsmanship at a much younger age then most of his kind. Shaden now sleeps within his house and he awakes to see his whole town ablaze. He steps out and is in a ghost town. His town seems to eb deserted, but to the right he spots his grandfather, no wings out, with a sword in his back. He falls to his knees and sees a couple bandits walking towards him. He quickly jumps up and hovers as he unsheeths he sword. He kills off one of the bandits, but what seems to be the head of these bandits puts up a tough fight. Throughout the fight Shaden dodges and strikes with fierceness within his heart, avenging his grandfathers death. Suddenling, he is slashed across his chest, from left shoulder to right hip. He is left there with a large wound as the bandit leaves him there to die. But he doesn't know of these angels powers to heal quickly. Shaden awakes the next morning with a large scar where he was stiken the night before and sees nothing but smoke around him, and in the place of his grandfathers corpse, a pile of ashes and a sword on the ground. Shaden runs to the forest as long as his legs can hold him up. As he suddenly drops to his knees, tears stream down his face. Suddenly he hears a voice inside his head. " Shaden, it is I. Your grandfather. Quit your crying and get up... NOW! Go back to the town, you must reach deep within my pile of ashes. I will contact you later with more information." Once he gets to this pile a light wind starts to blow against the ashes and they move nowhere. He reaches in this pile and feels a hard disturbence within the pile of ash. He grasps the unknown item and pulls it out of nowhere. It seems to be a necklace with a large medalian. There are some etched markings on the side of this medalion. It reads, " The Shadow Talisman".
Ok, that's it. Im sorry it was soo long, really got caught up. But theres an intro and a prologue to my upcoming story. Feel free to post positive or negative comments as you wish, suggestions as well if you wish. Thanks all...

EDIT:Ok, i'll get some characters and bios up here now.
Name: Shaden (Main Character)
Race: Dark Angel
Age: Changes throughout the game.
Bio: A newly born dark angel, out to avenge his grandfathers death and discover the secrets and reasons for this Shadow Talisman found within his grandfathers ashes.
Name: Greken
Race: Dark Angel
Age: Unknown
Bio: Greken sides as the grandfather to Shaden. He is defeated early on, but remains in contact with shaden throughout the game/story in a way, unknown.
Name: Jacer
Race: Unknown ( You'll see within the game/story )
Age: Unknown
Bio: Unknown ( You'll see within the game/story )
(Sorry bout the unknown but if i gave info with this guy, it would give some key matters away so i'll just leave you guessing)
Name: Drake
Race: Human
Age: 38
Bio: Head of the Legion of Bandits. They are out to destroy all dark angels plagueing their land.
These are the main characters you'll see throughout the game/story. There will be some others you'll come across that may have a key point to a conflict found within the game/story.

Interesting story...tho the whole 'wake up and the village is burning' thing is rather cliché and/or unoriginal.Be sure to post screenshots once you have some.
OH and avoid gun smileys like the plague, they are annoying and are basically the 'icon of the n00b', if you see what I mean.

Is it, can't really say i've ever seen it before.and there is much more to say, but, like a demo, can't give away too much information :)
Im writing it out as a story and hopefully making it into a game asap. Will have Drenrin2120 help me out with getting ahang of working with RPGM2K3.

Yeah, but there's noway to avoid having some things in your story a lil cliche or w.e. Everyone has something that has been seen before. But the way they use it or abuse it in some instances, makes it original in its own way.

Ok...news to all:
- Working on Char-Sets , Title_Screen, Game-Over screen, and more
- Working on adding a few things to maine storyline itself.
Will hopefully have screens up with charsets first of all, then hopefully shortly after, gaming screens :D...Thanx too all actually watching as I move along with this. Guess you can officially give me the title of "n00b" since this will be my first true game so wish me luck >.<
