Title: Question on recoloring sprite
Post by: Swordmaszter on July 22, 2005, 09:06:53 PM
Hey guys, I need to know if there is a program somewhere that can let me recolor a battlecharset without having to do it individually with each sprite. Like I need to be able to recolor one color in the ENTIRE page, so that it's automatically recolored on every sprite. Is there a way I can do that? Or will I have to do it individually to every single sprite? I could really use some help.

Like in the attachment below, is there a way to change every pink pixel on the page to a silver one?

Strangely enough, some of the older versions of MS Paint could also do that (by double-clicking on the eraser thingie when you have the starting color set to your left mouse button, and the color you want to change it to set to your right mouse button).

But for some reason, that option isn't in the Windows XP version of Paint. Really weird that they'd remove that, since that was one of the best things Paint had... not quite enough to make up for the whole "screwing-up-colors-when-changing-from-24bit-to-256color-BMP" thing, but it helped.

Ok, I got a hold of photoshop 7.0, but have no idea how to recolor a single color for the entire page. Can someone explain to me please?

you can easily do it with  Idraw.....sorry but i don't really talk that much in english....so I don't know all the words...hihi:P
i'll do my best to answer

go to 'view' in Idraw then select 'show tool'(its the first one)

then a little menu will appear. you'll see at the right top there's a circle....then pick the one three below it :s the one that look like a sword:P  once you picked this option go to the color you want to change and click on it (on your drawing) then  only the color you picked will b3e able to be changed of color... then choose a color that you want and in your 'tool menu' pick the  blakc square and then   go to the top right of your draw  click the left (on your mouse) and maintain it and then go the the bottom left corner of your draw and then ''declick'' of your mousse :Ploll i'm sorry for the false vocabulary but it should do it.......

when i want to change my color its always that way i changed it

OMG, thank you so much! You have no idea how much you just helped me. I've been searching for this for weeks, and now I've finally found a program that can do it. Again, thank you.
