Okay. So me and my friend Terkul have been tinkering around with the idea of making a game. The main motivation being that he wants to learn how to connect two players online. I wanted to make a normal 1 player game, and we came to the agreement that it would be a 1 player game that also had online PVP. That night we made some stupid little tunes for music and doodles of what could be the main character.

For the last few days I've been trying to think about what could make our game unique, and the obvious answer was a special type of battle system. After thinking it over, I've finally designed a draft for it.

No, that's not real, but that's the goal of what it should look like in the end. I used Fire Emblem sprites and an RMXP background as filler for what will be made in the long run. Anywho, think of it as a Final Fantasy Tactics-type system, but instead of being turn based, it's more like an ABS - each person has the blue wait meter (and the mage the charge meter for his spell) and when it gets to full, you can either move or act. You can have either 3 or 4 fighters maximum, I have yet to decide. The maps are much smaller in this draft, but I'm also toying with making them bigger.

Comments? Oh, and this will be made in, hopefully, Visual Basic 6, so don't tell me it's not possible in RPG Maker. :P

Mmm, reminds me of a BYOND Freinds ambitions, he said that the battle system was form Arc the Lad though, looks identical.

Nice stuff either way, it's going to be incredibly hard, but then again it is possible...
