Title: The VG Clinic
Post by: Dragonium on August 11, 2005, 01:44:45 PM
Okay, Draggy's next silly idea. I figured, a lot of people have played a wide range of videogames, and yet there's a lot of people who have trouble with them. Perhaps it's just that nasty boss, or that seemingly impossible puzzle... I don't know.

But I thought, if you have a problem with a videogame, post here, and see if someone else who has played that game has the answer for you. Then we can all help each other. Yay. Lovely. :D

Please post the name of the game, and your problem. You don't have to reply if the help works, but you can if you want to. And may all your little problems be gone. ;)

Don't mind him. He's been yelling "APETROLEUM" to me the whole time.

Anyhoe, I have a problem with the game Jagged Alliance 2: Wildfire. I'm in Drassen under the airport and above the mine and those bastards keep killing me. I need a good place to have my men stationed to win the battle with as less as injuries as possible.

Now, can you help with that?

In Final fantasy 1, I'm stuck in the Earthgift grotto, where there are 4 bosses you can choose from and each can kick my a$$. Please help, doctor!

I'm not the only one helping, people can all help each other. XD

Anyways...

Leon: Sure. Though you may wanna level a bit more for any other bosses or something.

Drace: Ehh. I haven't played it, but for all similar games, all I say is go stealthy, and use a lot of cover. Sending in your entire squad to get owned by a buncha guys isn't the best idea.

MT11: Sorry, haven't played it. But level like heck anyway. It may help. Make sure, if you use mages, they learn a few decent spells. There is always a way. ;)

------------------

Draggy's problem: In FFX, I'm in Macalania Temple, the first time you get there (Going after Seymour). I can take him down, and his two guards, but then either I lose to Anima using Oblivion (All my aeons die before I can stick one in the way), or I beat Anima, and right after that, he kills me with his Multi- spells. B!tch.

Yeah, just level up like hell.
the sky fortress is a great place for EXP. I think...
or you could just cheat *smiles evilly*

and "Draggy" before the battle, get your Aeons overdrives up, then go nuts in battle with them on anima ^^ (It doesnt matter if they get killed, just go kamikaze witht he Aeons lol)
then it should only take a few rounds of attacks to kill him now.
Seymour is easy, just keep yourself healed properly.

If I'm correct, Seymour is weak to silence. If you could use that on him then he can't use any spells. But I would use Auron to hack the hell away and have Yuna to use Reflect on Auron and herself.
But then you would have to need a good strenght level for Auron and Reflect for Yuna. Which I had because I trained much.

You could aslo try to get your team in full overdrive and then use all those overdrives after beating Anima.

Or use NullFrost, NullBlaze, NullShock and NullTide on your party to be immun to his magic.

I don't think I've been to the sky fortress yet...

Okay, I'll level up.

Agh, I'm already saved inside the Temple, so I can't get into any random battles (I don't think you can go outside, dunno).

I know the order for the Null spells to make Seymour useless, so maybe if I haste Yuna... Meh, whatever. Thanks.

Just realised, Auron can survive Oblivion. O.o

EDIT: Drace, I don't think he can be silenced. I think I already tried it. But still, I'll give it another shot. As I said, I don't know if I can go back outside, but I'll try.

I'll use the Null spells anyway. Haste should be handy.

Yeah well, keep your two character with the most HP and Yuna in it. (by me those were Auron(2000+) and Wakka(2200+)).

Breath of Fire III, after killing Gais (I think thats his name, he is big, red, and has two fire pillars that fight togheter), and I just don't know what I have to do! It has something to do with Garr and the temple, but I just can't figure out what is it.

Ah yes, Guardian Gaist. Once Gaist is dead, Deis will have been freed, so you have to go back to Angel Tower. Once you meet her there, you'll have to go back to Mt. Zublo. I hope you remembered to check Gaist's ashes for the Beast Spear, it's very handy in boss fights.

By the way guys, I beat Seymour. ;)

Anyhoe, if anyone has a question about a FPS, then ask me. I've played a hell lot of them.

I seem to be able to win the ship battles in Skies of Arcadia pretty well. I've only lost once so far, to the stupid red gigas which I had no clue what to do before. If anyone has any questions about those or any Tales of Symphonia battle, ask me.

Ok, here's my problem. Paper Mario 2: The Thousand Year Door. I can't seem to beat the final form of the Shadow Queen. You know, the one after that long *** dialogue that goes through every single place in the game. Just that is half the reason why I hate fighting her. Anyway, she always seems to destroy me with status effects or that evil flock of hands that comes and pretty much destroys you. Any tips?

Evrae, the winged defender of Bevelle?

If so, proceed with causion. This one is difficult if you don't train as much I do(and that's about 7 levels in every new area I come).

But still, when it's readying for it's attack, command to go back to Cid. After he done it, command to go close by again. Hack away with Aroun and Wakka(or Tidus) and have Yuna cure all of them. Or Rikku with Al Bhed Potions.

Put all of your HP Plus and MP Plus badges on, and bring 3 Life Shrooms and at least 5 Jelly Ultras (got by cooking a Jammin Jelly and an Ultra Shroom at the cooking woman's place). And have your Star meter maxed. A lot of it is luck, so just keep trying.

Or Rikku with Al Bhed Potions.

That's the key, there. If you get his by It's ultimate attack, use an Al Bhed potion and the poison goes, too.

Yeah well. In my latest play-though I was so strong that I hit it with Wakka's attack slots, and it was allmost dead. So I let every member in for a sec and did the last finishing blows with Auron, Wakka and Tidus. Took me about 5 minutes to finish him off.
