Title: Finished Games
Post by: MammonMachine on August 13, 2005, 08:00:02 AM
Is there a place I can go to find a listing of 100% FINISHED RPGs, I'm tired of wading through all these demos and crap.

Why so many DEMOS!?!?

It mainly depends on the help they're getting.

No it depends on if you have the heart to make a good game and finish it. And if you can find "friends" who are willing to help you with minor details.

And btw, Mammon.. We're trying to finish them and if you could just stop whining and give us half a chance to finish them you might be playing full games from charas in a couple of months/years/millenias.

Mammon Machine, we can't just pull these games out of our asses, they take time, work, and more time. :p So just be patient and if you want 100% complete demos, go to GamingW, there should be plenty. And RPG LORD, the only reason you don't get any help for your game is because you whine about it so much and complain that you don't get help for your game. Most request fulfillers hate that.

Demos are important for feedback while the creator is in the long haul of making a game. They are very useful for receiving feedback along the lines of reporting bugs and other problems that maybe the games creator hasn't spotted yet... at least, that would be Allen's take on one reason for demos.. >_> ..

Ace, you are an ignorant fool. I have had people helping me with my game for a while now. It's about time you noticed it.

But you still point it out so damn clearly all the time that you have been a victim of ignorance. You have probably mentioned the word "help" 27650730972 times in this kind of situation. *points at the first message from you in this thread*
I'll give you a good example, you have to tell people in your game description that now your actually getting help. Yes I am talking about the "Now with people helping" thingy.
You point it out so clearly that you hate the people of this community for ignoring you're game back then and that's getting quite annoying. I believe that's what Ace is trying to say as well.
I'll only say this once.. You should not expect anyone to give you all the recources you need on a silverdish. And now that you're getting help you should finally understand that the people who helps you out aren't strangers, they're your friends and that's how it is for everyone.

Now, back on topic.

Robotam: I point out ignorance? Hmm...Maybe I should get track of that..
Yes, back on topic.
MammonMachine: Well, I do know a game that's been finished around here. Didn't even take a day to finish, it's the Worst Game Ever..I wonder on what page it got though..
Dragonium: I didn't mean it like that. Besides, good is but an opinion.

Want to see why are there so many demos and not many complete games? Get to know very well the RPGMaker, then try to make a really good game and you'll see.

Posible reasons:
Need of resources
Need of help
Long events
Bug fixes
Battle tests
Advanced map making
Lack of ideas
Many interruptions

If you want a quick-complete game, use 1 map, only 1 hero and a "Press button" event that, when you pres the button, the game ends. Or better, an auto start event. Is that a good game?
1.-Yes
2.-Maybe
3.-No
4.-I have butter instead of a brain
5.-Am I hungry?

Guess the correct answer. The best games take the longest time to finish. You have to choose between finishing a bad game quickly or make a good game in 4 months, more or less.
