Ok.

For WWII shooters, I suggest you try Call of Duty or Medal of Honor. Brothers in Arms is also fun but a bit more strategic.
If you like to have a play it online I suggest you take Battlefield 1942. Or of course Battlefield 2(But that doesn't take place in WWII)

I've find some fun Star Wars action games. The best of all must have been Jedi Knights: Jedi Academy. Here you can create your own Jedi and fullfil missions and grow in strenght. In the end, you have to take a choice. Light or Dark. Though, if you take the Dark side the ending is going to be a hell lot difficulter.
An other good Star Wars is Republic Commando. Here you take control as a Clone Commando and lead your team of 4 to victory. To win the Clone Wars.
If you like to play online, take Battlefront and soon Battlefront 2. These are kinda rip-offs from Battlefield, but they're fun to play.

If horror is your genre, try out a Resident Evil or Silent Hill game. Resident Evil 3 and Silent Hill 1 are to me the best. If you don't like to solve puzzles like you have to in RE and SH then take Doom 3. Play these games especially at night.

One of the best FPS games I know is Far Cry. The horizon reaches as far as the eye can reach, the maps are gigantic. Making sure you can pick your own road to the destination. The levels are very interactive. You can shoot down cables of a bridge to let your enemies fall to their dead. Or you could push barrels at them. One thing is sure, and that this game is superb.

XIII is also a game you might want to check out. It has a cartoonish style which makes the game very fun, especially when you shoot someone in the head.

If you like to drive around in cars and shoot people. Try out Vigilant 8 or Twisted Metal: Black.

Want to beat up people? Tekken, Mortal Kombat, Street Fighter, Virtua Fighter, Dead or Alive and Soul Calliber are all titels of great beat-um-up games.

Want to know more games from a genre? Ask me.

If I have to suggest a game to u, which is very old and hard to find, it would be Incubation. One of the hardest and greatest games Razor and me have played.

I would also recommend trying out FF8, it's sort of a "love it or hate it" game. I liked some of the post-modern elements, but the story in general sucked.

Also, Disgaea was a pretty fun game, you might like that.

You asked the right man... kid... nerd... whatever. I'm the MASTER of the ELETRONICAL RPGs!!! [/dramatical] (not really)
 [/font size=minimum possible]

 FF9
 BoF4
 BoF3
 Suikoden II <---- MUCH RECOMMENDED!
Samurai Spirits (Shodow[or something]) RPG (witch is good, but I can't understand a word 'cause my version is in Japanese.)
FF7(its good, but... I really don't see anything expetacular in it.)
Suikoden II <---- SO GOOD I NEED TO PUT HERE AGAIN!
 Alundra
Alundra II (that isn't really an RPG, its a little more action, so I would say its an very Action but few talk RPG)
Genso Suikoden (also know as Suikoden II)
Suikoden (I haven't play the first one yet, but people say its good *shrugs*)
 Final Fantasy Tactics
Tibia (MMORPG, its maybe not good, but its FREE! FREEEEEEE!! www.tibia.com)
 Suikoden 2
and that game with 108/more characters, where you control a castle and has many, many, MANY mini-games and secrets, plus 2(maybe three, I heard of another one) different endings for you, and it has that good story and cool characters, and the hero uses a tonfa, and the magics are by RUNEs, and they're beautiful, beautiful beautiful magics. <---- (Suikoden II)

Wanna games? Here you go:

Anything that has Final Fantasy in its name,
Anything that has Xeno in its name (Xenogears, Xenosaga),
Anything that has Tales in its name (Tales of Destiny 1 and 2 rule...)
Anything that has Breath of Fire in its name, except for Breath of Fire: Dragon Quartes (which has the worse story, but the best battle system)
Vanguard Bandits (PS1)
Anything that has Suikoden in its name (the only series that, IMO, hits Final Fantasy Hard)
Star Ocean for PSX
Anything done by Shin Megami: Nocturne, Digital Devil Saga...
Persona 1 and 2 (PSX both)
Shadow Hearts 1 and 2 (PS2)
Grandia 1 and 2 (PS2...Grandia Extreme Iīve never played)
Amnthing that has Front Mission in its name (if you like strategy games with big super robost firing at each other)
Atelier Iris (PS2...rocks)
Lunar series (just to remember the good ol' times)
Bahamut Lagoon
Chrono Trigger and Chrono Cross (famous stuff)
Legend of Dragoon (True legend...)
Beyond the Beyond (few know of it, pretty simple pretty fun!)
Wild Arms series (awesome!!!)
Disgaea (strategy with japanese humor = excelent)

Bahamut Lagoon

BH was SNES, and a Japanese-only release. It was an awesome game (strategy RPG with a complex dragon breeding system), but I don't think it came state/europeside.

While we're on the topic of japanese SNES RPGs, Seiken Densetsu 3 and Rudra's Treasure were both decent games. And Tales of Phantasia, but you can find that on PSX (and GBA too, I think).

How could I forget Azure Dreams? Someone kick my head, please. And hard.
Well, Azure dreams is a Pokemon-ish game, but better, and you know why? Because you can FUSION! Yup, take a water monster, and a fire monster, and fusion both, and they turn into a... I dunno, never did that, clouds, maybe? Also, its great as a dating sim. *wink wink*

 ff6 is for playstation?

More titles that I forgot to mantion:
 - Brave Fencer Musashi - In this game, you're like, a samurai, and you go like, SLASH!, and the enemies are like, "Do'h! He stole my power!", and you go like, "YAY! I stole his power! (And his life and soul in the process)", and the princes goes like, "Musashi, I love you!" and the empire goes like, BOOM!
 - Parasite Eve - Nice game, nice story, nice characters, [STRIKE]nice boobies the heroine has.[/STRIKE]
 - Resident Evil - I consider this an RPG, there's lot of talking and finding stuff and weapons, only because there's no shop, inn and EXP.
 - Dino Crisis 2 - Never played the 1, same as Resident Evil.
 - Diablo - For PC AND playstation. Its good since you can play with more people (but it takes a full memory card to save.)
 - Xenogears - And now we call MAGAZORD! Oh, wait, no, its Wettal.
 - Lunar: Silve Star Story COMPLETE - I dunno why "COMPLETE" is al in caps locks, its like that in my game. Nice game, nice cutscenes, too bad it came in two CDs (A and B) and B broke. (Same happened in Xenogears, FF7, and Resident Evil 2... I need to stop buying thinks for R$1,99)

Tactics Ogre: Let us Cling Together is good.. if you can your hands on one anyway..
Jade Cacoon as well..

Edit: I knew there was a specific one I was forgetting.. *looks down*
Chrono Cross is certainly worth checking out.

You can buy all the final fantasys for playstation, except the nes FF3.

Man, all the games I were gonna suggest were already posted. Here's my list though.

All FF titles, just don't have any high expectations for them. There good games, but if you're expecting something thats completely awesom, they may let you down.

BOF 3 and 4. I hated Dragon Quarter since you couldn't save the game often. I suggest using a game shark and having unlimited save tokens.

Vandle Hearts 1

Chrono Trigger and Chrono Cross

Star Ocean 2 and 3.

All megaman games, not worth spending much money on though cuz they're short.

Vanguard Bandits, its pretty much 2 differant games cuz after mission 5 you can take two courses through the rest of the game. And once you beat the game you can go through it a third way on mission 20 or so, then you can fight the 69 machines that murdered me :(

- Dino Crisis 2 - Never played the 1, same as Resident Evil.

I've played these games (and previous/later ones of the series)

Parasite Eve 2(PSX): This one I played. I liked this one but sadly I had to stop playing because my disk what done for. I suggest you try this one. It has a Resident Evil style part, many shooting involved. Very good.

Resident Evil(PSX): I personally haven't played this one myself, but years ago an ex of my mother played this with me. This is the beginning of a great series(and to me the beginning of the Horror/survival genre). I suggest you try this one, even though the graphics are outdated.

Resident Evil 2; 3; Code Veronica X: These ones I have played. All great games, great stories and great graphics for their times. 2 & 3 are for the PSX and Code Veronica X for the PS2. These are really worth your time.

Dino Crisis(PSX): This one amazed me. What seemed to be a Resident Evil rip-off, surpassed the first and second Resident Evil in my eyes.
Synopsis(For so far I remember): You are in a team of highly trained people and must get Dr. Kirk(Or Kurk, I can't remember). He is hiding on an island with a big base on it. But things are not right on the island. You quickly encounter creatures which appear to be dinosaurs. You must survive and get off the island.

You can take two routes in this game. The wise and quick route of the nerd(can't remember his name) or the dangerous action-filled route of Gail(I think it was this). There are also three endings. All 3 worth of watching. This one is high in my list.

Dino Crisis 2(PSX): Though it's a sequel, try out this one too. Very good.

Metal Gear Solid series(1; PSX, 2 & 3; PS2): Don't be a fool. Just go and buy them if you don't allready have them!

Devil May Cry(PS2): Good game. Lot of fighting involved and got me hooked for a while.

Tenchu(PSX): This game is also worth playing. Very high in my list and to me it has the best ending ever! It's an action game and you are a ninja. Can't remember much of the story, but the gameplay is burned in my mind and I ones in a while see the ending in front of me. And a single tear goes down my cheeks.

Want to know more? Ask me about a specifc genre and I'll give you some top-priority games.

Genres I know most about are:

Action
FPS
Horror/Survival
Beat-Um Ups

PS: Except most people, I give you reasons why to play it ^_^

Gameboy Color.

To clear this up, here's a Star Ocean chronology:
1) Star Ocean - Super Famicom - Japanese Only
2) Star Ocean: The Second Story - PSX - U.S. Release
3) Star Ocean: Blue Sphere - GBC (or I think it might be GBA actually) - Japanese Only
4) Star Ocean: Till The End Of Time - PS2 - U.S.Release

So, really, there are four Star Oceans, but blue sphere didn't get numbered, thus till the end of time is star ocean 3. I wish blue sphere and the original would be remade, 'cause I loooooooove Star Ocean, but can't play all of them since I don't know japanese. :p

Btw maxine, if you haven't noticed, another message I'm trying to get across here is, if you don't have any star oceans, get them!!! At least the ones you can read, because there's a lotta reading, but the gameplay more than makes up for the amount of text.

EDIT: The ones I said had a U.S. release probably were released elsewhere, because I just remembered you don't live in the U.S. But since you obviously know english, you could get those versions anyway.

Games to get in the future

The Legend of Zelda: The Twilight Princess
Spore
Black and White 2
Unreal Tournament 2007.

The former is for the Cube, and it generally looks sweet as. Comes out near the end of this year.
The latter are all PC games, and they all come out: next year.

Me and Drace were talking about Spore, and I tell you what Spore is to me what Rusty Spoons are to Salad Fingers. Mmmm.

The former is for the Cube, and it generally looks sweet as. Comes out near the end of this year.
The latter are all PC games, and they all come out: next year.

Me and Drace were talking about Spore, and I tell you what Spore is to me what Rusty Spoons are to Salad Fingers. Mmmm.

Indeed. Spore does look good.

3) Star Ocean: Blue Sphere - GBC (or I think it might be GBA actually) - Japanese Only

Star Ocean: Blue Sphere is a GBC game, not GBA. Here's a screenshot of it.

XenoGears---PSX--- in my opinion, the BEST rpg ever made, it'll def keep you busy and you'll get so heavy into story line hours fly.Great characters, superb storyline, the graphics aren't the best, but the great music and addictive drive to unveal the mysterious main plot makes up for it,The rich cultures of the game keep you in the game and never bored, even the dungeons are exciting.

FF8---PSX----overall great game, best rpg music in my opinion, not to mention one of the best built character games.

Digital Devil Saga---PS2---it's a lil boring, and aimed at a younger audience, the music is really droned out and the story is alil weak and predictable, but good graphics, good battle system.

Star WArs BAttle front---PS2---in my opinion, the BEST starwars game EVER. Gets too easy if you're not online though.

Legend of mana---PSX---over all a really well done RPG, don't expect a big epic with this one, but do expect beautiful worlds, superb stories and colorful well designed characters. The music is top notch, which just adds to the beauty and fun.

I don't like the GameCube either. Mostly because many of their games are child games and others are just remakes of good Playstation games. *cough*ResidentEvil*cough*MetalGearSolid*cough*

yes the childish part is one of the reasons.. WHY THE HELL are they making MGS 1 remake for that but not for Ps2  :yell: Same with Resident evil 1

Man, I <3 Gamecube.   It has Super Smash Brothers Melee.  Soon getting Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess.  Had one of the greatest RPG's ever, Tales of Symphonia (Which I just found was on Ps2 apparentyl).  Gamecube is great, even though it has many kiddy games.

On-Topic:
The .Hack// Games are pretty good
There's a Full Metal Alchemist game out, and a 2nd one coming out soon (Unless it already came out).  Those were pretty decent.
Suidoken series was always ok in my book.

Play Suikoden 1 and 2 right away. And keep your Suikoden 1 save to use in Suikoden 2.

Play Suikoden...

Oh yeah *stops hypnotizing*, I gotta disagree with Carmen. Digital Devil Saga is an awesome game, that makes a metaphore of the purgatory that Hironobu Sakaguchi would never be able to do. Isīt just amazing that the characters "donīt understand" some feelings other do...each one of them still feel some of those, related to their past life...itīs just amazing. And, the "boring" atmosphere was put that way because of the cold, almost heartless, enviroment that the purgatory might be, just because itīs filled with beings that no longer live.

Thatīs just too good, if you understand it. I think itīs too mature to the overall videogame audience...

You know, the PS2 could use a fighting game like Super Smash. Only more like Tekken and Mortal Kombat. With it they can use people like Solid Snake, Liquid Snake, Revolver Ocelot, Cloud, Squall, Zidane, Dante, Kratos and many many more! It would be great(as long as they put Sub-Zero and Scorpion in it ^_^)

[Off topic] Yeah, I agree with you. Sometimes I wonder where the "child" thing comes from. Just because it doesn't have blood doesn't mean it's childish. To tell the truth I don't even like some of those bloody stealth games. I'd much rather play a game like mario or kirby. [/Off topic]
Oh, yeah and who said SO Till the end of time was for gc? I looked and didn't see anyone who said that.

@FFL: Yeah, blue sphere is for gbc. I got it mixed up because I remembered the graphics looking really good for gbc.

It's worth it to have Mortal Kombat: Deceptions though. Everytime you want to see blood, you can play it. And for you sick blood drinking goths out there, get ready for a blood orgasm XD
