Title: Charset Making
Post by: SSJ5Gohan on August 20, 2005, 03:55:04 AM
Is there like a certain kind of program that you people use to make charset? Like one of those kool charsets that are kinda 3d but flat. If you know, can you people send me a link to it? I wanna learn how to do that. All i know how to do is rip Charsets from Game Boy Advance games.

We use regular image editing programs just like you use to rip the sprites from games. There's no magic tool, except the Charas Generator, but I'm assuming because you're here that you already know about it.

InsaneJP made a very good tutorial on making your own charaset, and you can see it  here (http://charas-project.net/forum/showthread.php?threadid=11807&forumid=29&catid=6) .

I have a special program for you. I installed it on your computer already too.  _ghost_

Goto Start > Programs > Accessories > Paint

Okay, all kidding aside, the people I knew made characters pixel by pixel. Took the poor guy a week to make a skeleton char. Wish I still had that lying around.
