Usually, in games, you would have somebody who was very powerful to be the main character, or somebody who was in training.
Has there ever been a game where the main character was actually weak? And doesn't get that strong?
I know that would be kinda hard in the plot because how would a person like that actually be able to defeat the final boss who can defeat 20 regular civilians in one blow. But, was it eever used in a game before, because usually I'm seeing these all mighty powerful heroes.
I guess the main character being weak and a side character would be stronger to defeat the boss, and you need that character to actually defeat that boss.
Or are there any more ideas?

Solid Snake wasn't that strong. He was just smart and knew how to handel those weapons. Otherwise I would say something like... Erm..... every WWII game. Your everyday soldier can't kill 20 civilians which his mighty blast ray.
EDIT: Haunting Ground's character is a weakling. Don't know much about the actual game but that's what I got from previews, reviews and trailers.

Barbie's Adventures..

your everyday soldier with an automatic belt-fed weapon like an M2, 240B, 249, M19, can tear some civilians up in one burst.

It just flashbacked to me, the Metal of Honor games, one soldier went in by himself, and destroyed almost half of the Nazi army. I own the first Metal of Honor game on PS2, and there is no way that one guy can do that by himself, he had help on the first level, but that was it.
Games like Splinter Cell are understandable, going into the enemy base and destroying them.

It's MeDal of Honor. D. But yeah, maybe that's a little bit of unbelievable. But still, Haunting Ground has the weakling you search for. She must hide from a big ugly guy who wants something from her (and we all know what).

Drace! XD
Crash Bandicoot could get killed with one hit, and he still saves the world endless times... O.o

What about Pokemon, I mean, all the main characters cant actualy fight. They use things to fight for them.
And.. Some FPS the main character can be weak, but normaly they aint....
-
Well FFX had a very whimpy hero :P
Anyway, there are a lot of games that don't have the heroes very strong, but they have the brains or the equipment (or both) that allows them to get through.
Usually if there is a character that can defeat the last boss, then they are the main character.

I have to say this was funny...
Anyway, I have not seen a game where the hero is gay...Or a game that you are the villain (playing with him doesn´t count)...I wanted to do a game about a mad man...that would be nice!

You're forgetting a title with a character that doesn't even have a physical form of any kind: Myst.
-
i remember this ps game where you as the hero, was always beiong protected cuz you couldnt fight.
-
Do you know what it was called?
-
Maybe ICO. The main character of ICO is a weakling.
-
no, dont think it was that.
its on the tip of my tounge.
-
The trouble is, being a weak main character would generally be boring.
-
Not if it's done the right way.

It depends on the story too.

The main character of obsidian never had a physical form. Well, excepting that one time when you see her reflection.
But the point is, she isn't a tough main character.
