well errr, as yall know i WHAS depressed... WHASWHAS!!!,
and err... i like wrote some goodbye letters, and my...
parents like found them, its all over for me, i dont do things anymore,
and feel like happy, but they found it, and wanna have conv.'s with me about it, im like soooo lost, i keep saying ''im fine'' ''i dont wanna go to a psychiater'' and all, but, they are FORCING me to go there,
im actually doing stuff AGAINST my will now...
i dunno what to do now.. help..
-
Convince the phyciatrist you're normal. That's the only thing I can think of now.
-
Dont go. And if you have to, dont speek to him AT ALL. Go mute for the day. then your parents will have to stop you going as it's costing them to much.
-
haha my parents did the same to me b4. But eventually, like White said, it began to cost them too much (especially since I didn't express much to him).
-
Yeah. Do that if you want your parents to become over-protective and looking weird at you every time you pass by. We all know how White and he did that.
-
Going without wanting won't help, the therapy works when someone really wants to, tell this to your parents.
Now, why are you so scared, I did therapy myself, and I feel better now, look, they even let you stay with a piece of your brain afterwards *shows a pot with a small piece of brain*Hehehe, who is the brainy, uh, uh? Who is it? Hehehe.
Kidding.
-
K I kind of did the same thing as you, except I didn't convince myself "feel like happy". I did say to my mother that I was fine & all.
Here's my experience, and listen carefully because those who say to go mute on the psy etc, well I did it all as well.
It ended in a suicide attempt.. (guess I wouldn't want to say it.. but this is serious so screw me) a month later after my mother really forced me to go to the psy but I said no.
What happened afterwards? Well I was forced to a psy by the police and I stayed there for 3 days. Here's the important part... I barely talked to the psy, we just discussed if I was fine and how it all happened. However, after I came out of all that, I was happy!(and still am). What they also gave me for 3 days were anti-depressants, Zoloft(sp). How I see it, the anti-depressant "snapped" me out of that circle, it was amazing how negative I was, it's hard to really understand until you're over it. You think you're thinking normally, you really don't listen to others, and everything seems so hard or far away. Btw, I only took the Zolofts for about 3 days, never before or never after.
I'd advise you to try to take anti-depressants for a week, make it a compromise over the psy. It's also hard how they work, but they're fun. See how you feel, either you really mean your words right now.. but there's a chance you don't and they will really change things for you. Going on vacation, or in a different environment isn't a bad idea either. At the end of it, if it really helped you snap out of something bad, you'll really see things in a different light, and be more mature and trully happy.

Actually you should go, AND explain to the psy. what's going on... tat simple. it will also teach you a lesson in your life.
-
If that happened to me, I'd chew my parents out like there's no tomarrow.
Don't go, they won't do you any good. Unless you're confused or something and need some help and someone to talk to, it would be pointless to go.
-
To avoid that, and probably make my mind worse in the long run, I cover my misery and depression with comedy, a suprisingly upbeat attitude, and overly dark and dreary statements sugar-coated with a "isn't that great?" connotation. It seems to be working...
-
i was like that this summer, but I'm fine now. No one found out though.

Thats what I would do to. Maybe the DO know what they are talking about... And if you are fine as you say, the psy will know, and you won't have to go in again.

Despite the belief of many "depressed" adolescents, going to a therapist, no matter how small or big your problems were, or are, is a good thing.
Of course, if Jimmy is depressed because he has a crush on a girl and she doesn't like him, then Jimmy is a dumbass who most likely shops at Hot Topic to be cool. He probably spikes his hair to be "unique", since he has no personality.

Sounds like you...

I don't see why people think it's so bad to get help.

Mostly because they fear the help or don't want to depend on others.
-
er... you ARE in the deep s*** now aren't ya? just kidding...
I agree with most of the others, it's no point worrying about it, he'll help you and then you're free to fly(walk in this case)
One of my friends did slightly the same thing as you, he was considered mental for a reason unknown... they put him on the happy-pills, and then they sent him to a school for psychos (ouch!) he still goes to that school, but he is not on the happy-pills though.
You'll manage this, no worries :D go there, tell them the full story, tell him your feeling (of summat) and a few months later he'll clear your name :3
Also, what can happen if he doesn't think that you are healthy he will put you on pills and call you a psycho. I don't think that they'll do though
-
drace.. the depending is something,
and i dont need it, me for myself not, for my friends not, i can solve iot with them just as good as a guy who says whats wrong with me,
overall i know that myself...
thanks anyways guys..
i think ill stick with the ''dont go, and dont pay antention things''
yet..
Actually you should go, AND explain to the psy. what's going on... tat simple. it will also teach you a lesson in your life.
this could help aswell..
after this is over im gonna be here more...

I would suggest this for you.
But always keep in mind, IT'S STILL COLD! (http://www.charas-project.net/)

MindMaster, for the love of GOD do not listen to a word White says. He's still depressed, so anything he tells you obviously doesn't help.
-
I agree with Razor. You know how White is, don't end up like him. Talk to the phyciatrist and convince him that you're normal or just talk with him. Lots of people see a phyciatrist these days, it's very normal.
-
Does "blind leading the blind" strike anyone as very relevant to this discussion? :p
Time to grow up and quit that rebeliousness crap. It doesn't get you anywhere and causes too many problems as I have seen with my brother.
Your parents want you to go to the psych because, guess what, THEY LOVE YOU. Despite what your peers may have you convinced, they know what is best for you. You can't say that anyone here has your best interests at heart, especially those telling you to shut down in front of a doctor. Any true friend would be just as concerned as your parents. Besides that, entertaining the idea of suicide only proves that you are in no position to be deciding what is best for yourself.
SILENCE ONLY FEEDS THE MONSTER!!
Keep this in mind, because it applies to more than just this scenario. Remaining silent and keeping it all inside will only serve to make things worse. Speaking out is the only way to overcome this.
All a pill can do is numb the pain. The pain will always be waiting there for you, so unless you want to be married to Lexipro or Zoloft or whatever, the only way to cope is to face the problem head on. Relying on your own strength to do so isn't a good idea. THATS WHAT THE QUACK IS FOR!
Look, just level with your parents. If they still want you to see the doc, do it for their sake and level with him too. If your truely fine now, they will recognize that and this ordeal will be over quicker than if you remained unreceptive.
My best wishes to you.

oKAY OKAY, (damn, caps was on) Okay, okay. Now, seriously, psychiastry(edrypschydriatry, or howerver you spell it) is good for you. I know it, because I did therapy, for about 2 years. The only thing we do is to sit down and talk. Not like in those movies, where the guy start crying "I HAVE A PROBLEM!!!" But as real life, like "I don't like rainy days" or "I'm sad, my RPGMaker project isn't going as I planned" or something. You THINK you're doing fine now, but yopu aren't.
First of, if you don't need help, or someone to talk to about your problems, why are you posting your problem here?
-
Wow, I wish I was in your position. I LOVE talking, and now you have someone who's payed to listen to you! Talk about rpgs, moan about school, you name it he has to listen to it! Bliss!
-
I think that not saying anything to the psychiatrist is not a suitable solution. He will think that you really have a problem if you do that.

MMB: you should go, and I'm sticking to it, who knows, It might be very good for you! :3
-
