Title: Coasterkrazy's music stuffs
Post by: coasterkrazy on October 08, 2005, 08:48:57 PM
I will be posting my favorite midis that I made here. Feel free to use any of them with two exceptions:
1) The title starts with "SW." This means it is being used for Stick World, and I want to keep it to myself. If you really want to use one of these, pm me.
2) A midi that is being used for Legend of Lea. Contact Robotam if you really want to use one of them.

Other than that, go ahead and use them! Just remember to credit me.

All of my midis are made with Anvil Studio.

Wow! Nice work! As midi artists, we are defenitly different. You defenitley have a poppy, more happy sound, and I try to make mine with lots of emotion.... you are experienced, yes.

Thank you. Well, not all of my midis sound that way. Here's the battle theme I made for Legend of Lea.

Here's a newer one. I based it on the renegade base theme from Tales of Symphonia. Any more comments would be greatly appreciated.

Well, here's a march - Colonel Bogey March to be precise. I played it in band last year and liked it, so I made a midi from memory.

Woah, you are pretty good, I like the second the most.

Can't wait to hear more. ^_^

Glad to hear you like them!

I do remixes sometimes too. Here's a jazz-style Super Mario underground level remix I made.

Well, just to keep my thread alive, here's my midified version of the Chrono Trigger battle theme, which I did all by ear.

Pretty good midi's i like the chrono battle theme very much. One question did you remix that or made it yourself based on hearing the song?
Title:
Post by: coasterkrazy on October 24, 2005, 07:37:58 PM
I made it myself based on hearing the song in the game. The only other time I had heard it was a remix of it I heard a long time ago, before I even knew what the game really was.
Title: New Battle Theme
Post by: coasterkrazy on November 10, 2005, 10:40:30 PM
Yes, I made a new battle theme anyone can use. It's a techno-style battle theme, good for futuristic I guess. Right now, I'm working on a more traditional battle theme that kinda sounds like the one from FF5.

NewBattleTheme.mid (http://www.geocities.com/coasterkrazy/NewBattleTheme.mid)

I miss the attachment button...

No problem :)

I'd listen to it but this PC here at college is a tad annoying when it comes to playing media. *taps foot* Hm.

Strangely it reminds me of Goldensun.

I think I accidentally posted a non-looping version of the other one, so here is the fixed version:
New Battle Theme (http://www.geocities.com/coasterkrazy/NewBattleTheme.mid)

And here's the other battle theme I was working on. You can use this if you want.
Another Battle Theme (http://www.geocities.com/coasterkrazy/AnotherBattleTheme.mid)

I like the second one ^^

but it reminds me of the main theme for Hoshigami....

Thanks for the compliment. Lol, I have no idea what Hoshigami is.

A clone of FFT though lol

it has a nice main theme...I'll need to look for it...

The techno one is great, and the second one reminds me a lot of a FF battle theme, forget which one though. I'm going to us the techno one if that's ok, I'll give credit where it's due, no worries :D
Title:
Post by: coasterkrazy on November 19, 2005, 04:20:00 AM
Sure, that's great! I really appreciate it when people use my midis. Yeah, that second one was based off of FF5.  :p
Title: KICK
Post by: coasterkrazy on December 22, 2005, 02:43:41 PM
Well, I haven't gotten many midis done lately, but here's a remake of the Turkish March I just finished. Enjoy.

Oh, yeah I know it says SW, but you can use it if you want because technically it's not me who gets credit - it's Mozart. If you want to credit me for the remake, that's fine. Btw, I took out the entire ending part for the sake of looping.
Title:
Post by: drenrin2120 on December 26, 2005, 05:38:53 AM
Lol, i didn't know your MIDIs were so good. I really like your newer ones. That Turkish one made me laugh! :D I'm glad to hear work from other artists.
Title:
Post by: coasterkrazy on December 27, 2005, 02:53:36 AM
Thanks dren! It's good to hear a compliment from such a great midi maker!

Here's a recent one I made for my game. Yes, it might sound sort of like an Earthbound ripoff, but really it's just the same instruments...
Title:

Heh heh. I love both of them with half my heart, meaning that I could marry them.... but I'd have to marry them both at the same time.

Post by: coasterkrazy on January 17, 2006, 08:58:34 PM
Now, ladies and gentlemen, I present a MIDI for a big battle, so cleverly named... big battle! I recently finished this one, and it's up for grabs for anyone to use, with credit of course. ;) I tested the loop and it works perfectly. Comments are greatly appreciated on this way. Big battle 2 is already in the process of being made, and so far I like it better than this one.
Title:
Post by: drenrin2120 on January 19, 2006, 02:52:11 AM
Nice! I'm likin' your MIDIs more and more, CK. Keep up the good work, too bad I don't get to compete against you in the contest. ;)
Title:
Post by: coasterkrazy on February 05, 2006, 02:50:34 AM
Well, I haven't updated this for a while, so I figured I might as well post something. Here's a MIDI version of What is Love (is that even what's it's really called?) that I did a while back.

EDIT: Attachment didn't work... and geocities is down and freewebs won't upload for some reason. :| I'll try to get this up however I can ASAP.

EDIT: Yay! :)

that one was really nice. Just checking, but can I use that in my game? :sweet:
Title:

Feb. 7th

Yup, use anything but SW ones. Oh yeah and that Lea one I had posted before, though I don't know if it's still being used or not.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Feb. 17th

Here's one I figured I should put here. I did it for DragonBlaze on request, but it was one of the few things I made with pianos rather than other instruments, and probably the only one with pianos that turned out good. So, here it is, an "epic battle" on piano. If you want to use it, ask DragonBlaze. ;) It's fine by me.

And, here it is! Big battle 2! Sorry I didn't finish it earlier, but I couldn't think of how to continue it from where I was for a while. It loops back to the part after the intro (where the strings come in). I like this one a lot better than my first big battle. I'd love to hear what everyone thinks. :)

Title: Update!
Post by: coasterkrazy on March 10, 2006, 01:02:59 AM
I did this theme for sad moments and the game over of my game. I thought it turned out nice, so I'm posting it here for all to hear.
Title:
Post by: Meiscool-2 on March 10, 2006, 01:49:29 AM
I got more of a feeling of peace from it rather then sorrow. Is that a bad thing?
Title:
Post by: coasterkrazy on March 10, 2006, 01:53:45 AM
I don't think it's necessarily a bad thing, although it's supposed to be sad. I find game overs are often peaceful while they are sad. Yeah as for the theme part, now that I think about it I didn't really mean sad. It's more of a solace/love theme in times of despair.
Title: Ba-Bump
Post by: coasterkrazy on April 07, 2006, 03:22:49 AM
Yeah, after nearly a month of not posting here, I finally have another thing I can share with you all. Anyone can use it with proper credit of course. ;) I called it Chinese Temple, but it probably fits a lot of other Chinese/Oriental (though I wouldn't say it sounds Japanese) situations.

Big Battle 1 reminds me of Mario+Luigi Superstar Saga. Superstar Saga rulz. Big Battle rulz!!
Title:
Post by: coasterkrazy on April 07, 2006, 06:17:25 PM
Thank you, RPG LORD! :)

I just whipped this one up real fast and it turned out pretty good. I'm so original... it's a sad harp and strings piece that I called sad harp and strings. :p

Anyway, these pieces that I've been making lately that aren't going toward my game are most likely going to a collection of midi files I'm making called "CK's RTP MIDI Alternatives." Big Battle 1 and 2 will most definitely be in there, and possibly... Big Battle 3?  :o Who knows? :D

Anyway, here's the new one.
Title:

Once again, itīs something quite good.
Title:
Post by: coasterkrazy on April 14, 2006, 12:47:21 AM
I finally a completed a final battle theme! Titled... you guessed it... final battle! I felt it was necessary to put in where it loops back to, so it goes through that twice, making it seem longer than it is. It's still my longest, though. ;) Enjoy! This will definitely be going toward my RTP MIDI alternatives collection!
Title:
Post by: drenrin2120 on April 14, 2006, 01:42:43 AM
I like it, not all of it, but I still like it better than RTP. I don't think it's your best work, but it's still pretty sweet. Good job!
Title:
Post by: coasterkrazy on April 14, 2006, 02:44:25 AM
Thanks dren! I can probably take a good guess at the parts you don't like as much. ;) *cough*organ*cough*
Title:
Post by: coasterkrazy on May 13, 2006, 11:32:47 PM
Well, here's a MIDI for a secret side project a friend and I were discussing, a different friend than the SW one. I can't focus my attention enough to just work on one game, so I've kinda experimenting with some other stuff lately. Non-RM stuff. But anyway, it's nothing too big. So here's a MIDI I made for the first stage. See if you can notice what it's meant to resemble. I think there are a million giveaways to this one. It's really a no-brainer if you've ever played this certain game...

Also let me know what you think of it! ;)

(BTW I'm just getting out of a MIDI writer's block.)
Title:

Oh god... I know I've heard that somewhere....
Title:
Post by: drenrin2120 on May 14, 2006, 12:51:32 AM
very neat man. I like it. I just don't get what it's from or for... my only guess is... kirby?
Title:
Post by: coasterkrazy on May 14, 2006, 12:59:30 AM
Nope, it isn't Kirby. Lol, I thought the title alone might give it away. Maybe you haven't played the game it's from or maybe I did better than I thought making it sound different!

Anyway, it's from Sonic 1 on the Genesis. It's based on Green Hill Zone.  If you haven't played it, you should definitely try it at least once. I think it's a game anyone can enjoy and just jump into (especially for Sonic 3/& Knuckles). I'm glad you like it, btw. :) Phase 2 is in production. It's basically a remix of that.

Oh yeah, and here's Green Hill Zone (file taken from VGMusic) if you want to do a comparison.

EDIT: WHOA! I just tried playing them at the same time and they blend almost perfectly! Amazing!
Title:
Post by: RPG LORD on May 14, 2006, 06:55:42 AM
Yeah, I recognize it. Sonic the Hedgehog on Master System was my first videogame ever.
Final Battle was a bit overdone in my opinion, but it was good.
Title:
Post by: Linkizcool on May 21, 2006, 04:32:18 AM
Wow, Coaster, nice work. Final battle was, I think, a very classical battle, in the sense it sounds like it comes from the 1500's.

I bring you my first MP3!!!

First MP3. (http://media.putfile.com/Breakthrough-1-First-MP3)

Ok, now it's my first one so it isn't perfect (note the tempo errors). It's an mp3 version of a midi I made, which you can find here.
 MIDI Version (http://media.putfile.com/Breakthrough-1-MIDI)

Comments extremely appreciated! :D I don't mind if you like the midi version better. Part of me does too, but only because of the tempo problem, which is constantly fixed throughout the mp3. You'll see what I mean.
Title:
Post by: drenrin2120 on July 12, 2006, 01:02:22 AM
I see you got a putfile account. Very cool dude. Nice MP3 BTW, I have an MP3 audio file maker thing and I understand how hard it is to get the tempos to match just right. So kudos to you man! :)

Title: I wrote myself a theme!
Post by: coasterkrazy on August 17, 2006, 01:48:34 AM
Well, since I finally got a "real" character, I submitted him to the charas user resource thingers. Then I realized my character needed a theme, and of course I wanted to write it. I don't know where I was going with this, but I like how it turned out. I wasn't really shooting for anything, and this was the result.
Title:
Post by: drenrin2120 on August 17, 2006, 01:55:31 AM
I like it, but it's a little too repeatitive for my tastes. The end caught me off guard and was good, I liekd that part a lot/ It would've been a lot better though if it would've changed, even a little bit.
Title:
Post by: Meiscool-2 on August 17, 2006, 01:59:46 AM
It's really pretty. Nice choice of intruments.

Now make a Meiscool Theme!
Title:
Post by: coasterkrazy on August 17, 2006, 02:10:49 AM
Thanks for the feedback guys.

Yeah, Dren I know what you mean. I had been wanting to change it all along, and I tried a couple of times, but it really didn't blend well. :( I can try again though. I could attempt to redo the entire middle part.

Oh, yeah, Meiscool don't you already have Venus Lighthouse? :p Just kiddin', I can make you a theme, even though I told myself I wouldn't do any more requests because I was too busy. I just can't turn one down when I'm in the mood.
Title:
Post by: Meiscool-2 on August 17, 2006, 02:31:13 AM
Well, you know how I am. Regal, smart, ***-like, pretty, sexy, concieted, and convinced that I'm better then everyone. Make it reflect those traits. (note, I don't honestly think these things, just my forum attitude. )
Title:
Post by: coasterkrazy on August 17, 2006, 07:02:54 PM
Congratulations! You are officially the owner of the biggest pain in the *** midi request I've ever done! Lol, I ended up for the first time actually changing the midi time signature because I picked a strange jazz beat that resulted in making the notes really hard to do because I had to tie them weird and stuff... ah, nevermind I can't explain it. If you really want to know, open it up and notice the 5/4 time signature and how the notes are written.

Oh, and sorry if it's not varied enough like dren said about my last one, but as I said, the notes were a huge pain in the *** to write. That, and I ran out of ideas.

So, here ya go. I felt jazz best suited you. :p
Title:

I can just picture the lyrics to the song too.

"I'm better then you.. yeah yeah. I'm better then yooouuuuu."

Great work. It made me smile. Thanks dude.
Title: New MP3!
Post by: coasterkrazy on August 18, 2006, 08:37:40 PM
I'm glad you all like it. :)

And now I have a new mp3 that could go great in a game soundtrack as a dark ambience. I call it Slow Strings In D Minor. My creativeness is showing again. ;)

http://media.putfile.com/Slow-Strings-In-D-Minor

Btw, this whole thing except for the very beginning is improv. It's over 3 minutes because I just got carried away and lost my sense of time. :p Let me know how you like it. I was thinking of using it for something.
Title:
Post by: drenrin2120 on August 19, 2006, 06:11:01 PM
sweet, I like it. What do you use to make your mp3s? The one I have is just way too confusing and has too many other features that just clutter it and make my head asplode.
Title:
Post by: coasterkrazy on August 19, 2006, 06:30:20 PM
I use Audacity. It's a really simple program. All I did was hit record and just start playing. Then I amplified it and trimmed the ends, and that was it. Even with a really crappy mic, it still works perfectly. :)

hey, CK. I have a request. I'm wondering if maybe you could duplicate the intro you have with the strings. Then after that play a part that could be repeated in 4 measures with a techno-ish beat. I will supply the techno beat. So here's what I'm asking for.

An intro similar to your strings in low D
4 measures of repeatable strings (this will be the chorus)
Then a verse. As in something to side track away from the chorus.
Then an ending, like an outro.

I will supply the beat if you can do jsut the string parts for me. Thankyou very much, if you have any question, like maybe a why? or something, just pm me.

CK: Your new MP3; I've never really liked Slow things, so I won't be of much help here, but I'll also try to be non bias. I think sometimes you held a note for to long (if that's what it's called, I haven't got a clue about music) and the pitched just sorta screamed "DEATH!" at times. However, it's very soothing, and it flows pretty well. Not only that, but it's not repeative at all, though you use some of the same sounds time and time again, it seemed to me that they were always combined differently.

Hmm... I don't know if it's that I held something too long, but I think I know what you mean about "DEATH!" Feedback issues, right? There were one or two of them in there, and it's because when I amplified it in Audacity I had to do some clipping, which means that the sound wave is so big it doesnt fit in the box, and when the soundwave is that big it often produces an ugly feedback. The best way to fix that now would be to deamplify it a bit.

Quote

Yeah, that's the good thing about improv. :p Nothing's ever quite the same because it's just you randomly playing and it's hard to end up with the exact same patterns. About the soothing part, I don't know if I think that's good or bad... It wasn't exactly meant to be a happy song... I was thinking more of a dark ambience, for like an ancient temple or cursed place or something. Anything dark. Also a title screen for a dark game.

Thanks for your feedback guys! This is my first time recording improv, although I've done it before, so I really wanted to see what people thought.

Oh, one last comment to Meiscool, it's extremely difficult (at least for me) to improv something fast, so I'm sorry to say anything I do improv will never be overly fast. :|

Well, it's not really a full midi song, but I was looking through some Greek midi filies and found one that had these drums that made me go, "WTF!?!?!? That CAN'T be midi!" But it was, so I opened it up and took a peek at what they did. Ok, so they added some effects to it that Anvil can't even do because it didn't sound exactly the same in Anvil.

However, it did teach me how to make an awesomely more realistic snare.

Here's where I spill the secret.

Get ready...

Ok, so you have a drawbar organ drum set, use both snares in the set and the lower of the timbales (the F right after middle C), and set the lower snare (the D one that's all electric sounding) to volume of 42 and set the F note timbale thing to volume of 70 and voila! A whole new kind of midi snare!

I also like to change the bass drum to volume 75 for whatever slight effect it has in making the drumset sound unique. :p

So here's a tiny little sample where the snare is used twice in this drum line.

As to the recording thing, you could probably re-route your mic jack to a direct line-in from your amp for better sound quality.  You'd need a two-way headphone cable and a reg.-amp jack adapter, but you could probably find that stuff at a music shop or some place like that.  My Stanton headphones come with a cable like that, that you can disconnect and connect to other stuff.  They're a bit expensive, but it works.

Also, you could record with a RCA Lyra MP3 player, which comes with all that stuff.  Just gotta watch the volume a bit with it, 'cause you have to line-in directly to the Lyra instead, unless you got another adapter for the small-reg. jack.

Hope it helps ya some.

Lol I've heard about stuff like that before but I don't have any of that, not even the amp. :p But thanks anyway for the advice. It may come in handy someday.

The new drum thing is mainly directed toward dren, but I decided to put it up here... so dren if you're reading, scroll up!

Back again, and with a vengeance!-er, I mean, major update!

So anyway, I recently discovered the wondeful world of soundfonts and the program SynthFont. Basically, you take MIDIs and make them MP3s with this program applying selected soundfonts to instruments. It's kinda hard to explain, but if you find good soundfonts, then you can make some awesome MP3s out of MIDIs, which I have done. :)

Also, I found an NES soundfont, so I can convert MIDIs to NES songs. Pretty sweet methinks. So here's a whole bunch of samples I recently uploaded to putfile. Enjoy!

 Big Battle MP3-itized (http://media.putfile.com/Big-Battle-MP3-itized)

 Big Battle NES-itized (http://media.putfile.com/Big-Battle-NES)

Dren's Sing With the Harlequin MP3-itized (http://media.putfile.com/SWtH) (I made it private it on putfile.)

In the Mouth of Madness by Spock's Beard NES-itized (http://media.putfile.com/NesInTheMouthOfMadness) (Done for a friend.)

The boss theme from DragonBlaze's old old old demo MP3-itized (http://media.putfile.com/SF-Boss-mp3) (This one turned out really good.)

I hope you like them! And dren, I've been trying to tell you about this for a while but I haven't reached you online so I hope you see it here (or you saw my message). :p

Haha, yes dude! This **** is awesome! I can't wait to start playing around with it. All these MIDIs sound so ****ing sweet!

So I started working on a soundtrack rewrite of Sonic 2, and I'm using the Sonic 2 mp3 tool to apply the new music. It's very cool to hear it when playing. But anyway, here's my rewrite of Chemical Plant Zone.

http://media.putfile.com/Neo-Chemical-Plant

Right now I have it as just Neo Chemical Plant, but I'm hacking the game and renaming the zones and probably changing color pallettes as well. I'm trying to think of a good rename for Chemical Plant. Right now I have Polluted Road, but I don't like it that much. I was also thinking of calling it Acid Highway. Any ideas?

EDIT: Oh yeah I used the YM/FM soundfont in case anyone is wondering, except for the drums, which I used some other soundfont I found somewhere.

Me likes. Maybe leave the name the same? I'm not exactly sure what you're trying to do. :|

But the music is good. :)

Heh, so the last thing I ever posted here was supposed to be for that pallette/music edit I was doing, but now I was just fooling around and making an Act 2 version of the real Chemical Plant (like Sonic 3 does with its Act 2 remixes).

I learned more about using the soundfont from listening to the real songs and comparing. The only thing I couldn't do was the snare because that exact sound didn't exist in the font. So I mixed the font's drum set with the one I was using, and used the one I was using only for its near-perfect snare. The result is a seemingly flawless Sonic 2 sound I think. :)

I hope people who like the game/song get to hear this. There are only slight differences from the real thing, like Act 2 remixes often do.

Sorry to double post (and on the same day), but I figured I'd upload this old thing I made that was meant to be an overworld or something along those lines, but it didn't end up being very long. I think it sounds good though, but the quality might be too high for 2D games. :p

I know, it's a stupidly short amount of time to bump with a double post, but I just feel like it so it can be seen as updated or something.

Anyway, here.

Wow, it's been a long time, hasn't it?

I just finished this song that's supposed to sound sort of like it was from the Mega Man X series (the SNES ones that is), even though I haven't really played much of them. So, here it is.

^Quite good, I haven't played many MegaMan games either but I agree that it fits the theme well.

I've also taken a look around the topic, and I loved those Sonic 2 remixes you made. Boy, does that bring back some memories...

Lately I've been playing around a lot more than making new music. Hacking Sonic 2 Beta music via Sonic QX (by one of those crazy amazing hackers) has been one thing I've been doing. It's a pain because you need to make the MIDI so that it'll work correctly with the app, but I figured out the basics and even learned how to port the songs into certain other games via another crazy amazing hacker's tool (though I have to do some hex stuff myself with that one, but not much).

But anyway, onto the important part, the actual music. I've been redoing a lot of stuff I had already made from a long time ago and been trying some other stuff.

http://www.box.net/shared/r2h066cy90 - The old Chemical Plant rewrite I had done for my old soundtrack rewrite I had been working on.

http://www.box.net/shared/mv22yf9oco - Not sure if I ever posted this one online before, but here's Sonic remake of it anyway. The loop's screwed up, as you might noticed in the end, but that's okay.

http://www.box.net/shared/6byz40czll - Hang Castle. The only decent stage from Sonic Heroes.

http://www.box.net/shared/ie313bzqyr - And this one... well, you'll see. :p

One other thing I did was make an MS Sam rap for no good reason. I was bored, like I am now, and my friend and I were talking back and forth in rhymes so I could do this.

http://www.box.net/shared/byg20bmxe5 - WARNING: THERE'S ACTUALLY A HARRY POTTER SPOILER IN THIS

Don't ask why I make music sound older and more fake-sounding rather than newer and more real-sounding. I've just always loved the way 16-bit music (especially Genesis) sounded. :p

I love FamiTracker. It's basically a way of creating true NES music. The stuff I did a while back was a soundfont that didn't work that well. Trackers are much better tools. Here's some random rewrites I did with it:

http://www.box.net/shared/m7gegtv8uf - Castlevania Vampire Killer

http://www.box.net/shared/yvtl57nmc4 - Castlevania III Aquarius

http://www.box.net/shared/vx6je0s1yl - Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow Clock Tower

And an original:

http://www.box.net/shared/9syrivsgbj - Castlevania-eque song I call Opening Act

So, yes, in other words, I've been doing a bunch of CV stuff (and some other things too), but there's so much fun stuff you can do, like even sound effects. I'm still learning more about it.

wow, I'm impressed with your work. I like your sonic remakes back from August. Your 16-bit CV sound tracks are just fuckin g fantastic! I wish I could hear the words better on the rap though.
Title:

Thanks, man! Yeah, the rap was just kind of a joke. I guess I should've probably posted the lyrics. Oh, well. Glad you like the NES stuff, they always take more time than MIDIs. Not as much time as the Sonic stuff though.

OMFG, I can't believe I missed this! Vampire Killer must be my all-time favourite from the Castlevania series...where did you find those programs, if I'm allowed to know? I want them!
...Googling.
And Discover seems quite sweet too...Glad to hear you've gotten better, or so I think.

Thanks!

I've been working a lot more with FamiTracker and have learned a lot since my last update (mainly about instrument editing and creating more realistically fading instruments and not just making notes staccato to end them, which is mostly only done in the triangle wave channel).

Anyway, here are a couple of original creations.

http://www.box.net/shared/6gq09rr2h0 - Upward Climb

http://www.box.net/shared/bdtxvzcp9g - Chippin' Away (Yeah, as in chiptune... oh, the puns I make when I'm bored.)

I feel like I must have been thinking of Tetris or something when I made Chippin' Away. Feels sort of like a fast-paced reaction puzzle-type game to me.

By the way, have I mentioned that these are NOT to be used without my permission? Just making sure, though I don't think the people who comment here would.
Title:
Post by: drenrin2120 on October 27, 2007, 02:16:20 PM
Haha, I love 'em both. But Chippin' Away was great! I could see it in Tetris or like a puzzle scene in an RPG.

Thanks for the comments, guys! I may just use Chippin' Away for something sometime...

Not really an update, but I wanted to comment that I finally submitted something to vgmusic. It's Mission 4 from Double Dragon on the NES. I always loved that song and no one ever sequenced it for vgmusic. If, you want to hear it, here it is - http://www.vgmusic.com/new-files/dd_mission4.mid (Copy and paste into address bar)

I imagine it will be in the new files section for a while.

Just because it took forever to do this, I figured I might as well post it. I was trying to recreate instruments from Castlevania 3 and use them to rewrite later Castlevania songs. I figured the easiest song to use for recreation was the clock tower, so I also figured I'd rewrite a later rewrite of the clock tower (machine tower from Circle of the Moon) in NES form.

That might not make any sense. I'll just post the stuff.

Castlevania 3 Clock Tower (My reference) - http://www.box.net/shared/tjfxu4pogg

MIDI of CotM Machine Tower (What I reproduced as NES. Sounds a lot like the real thing. A good reference.) - http://www.vgmusic.com/music/console/nintendo/gba/(clockt).mid

Castlevania CotM Machine Tower (My attempt to create a CV3 sound to a future CV song) - http://www.box.net/shared/0c3r3oo00o

Took a while so I hope someone thinks it sounds good. Actually I'd be happy if you know what I'm talking about. :p

Wow your style is really unique and hard to learn. I'll start listening to your midis A LOT to see if I can absorb something. Keep on the good job
