Title: Dark Sword,Vowed Sword

Ok,I've made up my mind and I'm going to work on this game for now.It's has all FF 4,5,and 6 stuff and nothing else.Thing may be edited though.So here's the story.

Never have the powers of good and evil fight side by side.
But when the sun and moon are part and part they will.
For no choice will they have.

Ok the story is pretty much about two brothers.One's a Holy Knight the other is a Dark Knight.The story starts out with each person haveing to go on a misson.Each one have heard from the other in years.But they meet on there missons and fight.then they end up helping one another.

I need help with stuff on this as well.I need,

Well realy I've had Ideas for UM for miny weeks.M.A.T. was based of one Idea of haveing a game where the hero is Training to be a mage.So I didn't come up with them in a week.This is just the one I want to work on for now.I know the story is Ceici you call it?But that can be a good thing.Go back to our roots.

So long that it is not a Final Fantasy Fan Game, it should be fine. I know everything FF4 and 6 and I've ripped a better version of the town chipset. Give credit if you use it.

It's actually BSW but meh. You need to give more indepth detail about your story and charas. I mean it doesn't give us much of an idea if you just say two brothers and what they are. More detail.

Dur, FF1 was one of the first games for the nintendo! No dip it had no story, you know how hard it was to make the script just for text to appear above people's heads back then!?

If you are to use a short version of my nickname, use it correctly. Thanks for correcting him Pyro.

The first Final Fantasy had no story because the engine was new so they relyed on it instead. The creators had no other choices during the years other than improve their storylines. The jump between FF1 and 2 was great so there is always room for improvement.

I say; Go for it and post screenshots. Charas is a lot about images and story ;)

well i gess this seems to be that your a verry big newbie with rm2k3 (use rmxp!!! :badboy: ) but... i will help you do the odd graphic if you ask me to look at my threat "inheritane" in the games to c a sample of my work with rmxp oh and by the way use rmxp :D

I shed no tears when I say this, you won't finish the game. lest by some slim chance you get better you best quit now, you'll end up with a big fat failure. Quit now, it won't happen. Follow my instructions, overtime you will improve and when the time comes you may be able to make a decent game. But for now you can't and you won't be able to until you learn how to take critisizm the right way. It's meant to point out things that the commenter liked especially or thought needed improvement, most of the time the critisizer is of good judgement but not always. In this case you should take any suggestion you see because I'm almost 95% sure that you haven't even finished the hero.

Well, I think it's alright.

I would play. Good luck on this, Shadus, but do one thing, do NOT make the game have as bad grammar and punctuation as you do, no offence.

If this takes off I guess I might help if I am impressed.

Your recolors aren't all that great but the battlesets are good, they are from FF4, heh. Oh and your welcome for the site ;)

You said you would use FF 4, 5 and 6 materials.....might I advise against using multiple chipset styles? What I mean is, don't create a town using a FF4 chipset and another town using the FF6 chipset. The jump in graphic is rather big you know...

So.... this means that FF1 had a story and the other ones didn't? That's like saying a picture book is a better read then "how to kill a mocking bird". Plus, in a post before that, you said FF1 had no story, so you are contradicting yourself.

Yeah. So long as this game keeps you busy from posting on other threads (especially the charas pub) about people dying and crap, I say make it!

I've going to use ff6 chip and chara sets,and ff 4,5,6 battle stuff cuz they look alot alike.

Sorry  VulcanRaven336 but I've worked on the story alot and can't wait for you to PM me back.But if you want to help with parts of the story later I'd be glad for the help.So here's the story better told.

For 10 years the church and Dark Knights have been at war.Now that the Dark Knights are weak and are in hiding a sword has been found.The sword of a leagendary Paladin who killed miny Dark Knights and gained sainthood.If the church can get the sword they will have the tool to remove the Dark Knights forever.But the Dark Knights also know about the sword and will not easly let the church have it.So the church figering that the Dark Knights will send there whole army to get the sword they send two knight to sneek past the Dark Knight army.At the same time the Dark Knights send two men (well a guy and a girl.) to get the sword frist.There reson for only sending two is they figer that the Church will come and attack them when they send out men so they need as miny men as they can to stay at base.When both sides get to where the sword is they find the other side (Church or Dark Knights) there and end up in battle.The Dark Knights badly beaten two of two the knights Kris and Zeno (One dark and one holy Knights.) finds out they are there long lost brothers.Not caring Ivo the other holy Knight go's ahead a grabs the sword.As soon as he picks it up the cave starts to shake and cave in.Soon Zeno picks up his beaten brother and run out of the cave.Taking the other Dark Knight pisoner they take them back to the church.Seeing that Zeno had helped a Dark Knight the church bands him from Holy Knighthood. :mrT: Random stuff. :cow: . I like the idea of a sword becoming holy after slaying many Dark Knights. Might as well call it 'The Redeemer' or 'The Holy Avenger'. So far so good. Story is fine but Charas love screenshots, heh.

You could make a good ABS/CBS with that story in tact.  There can be called a sword called the Yin Yang Blade. WHen this b;ade kills its limit of dark or light knights it's abilities and power changes for example, if the Yin Yang blade slays  150 Light Knights it transforms into the Yang blade a sword of Darkness. Its power is stronger than that of the Yin Blade but it lowers Agility. You learn the spells: Eye of the Dark one, Summon Demon, and Blind Rage. For an ABS Eye of the Dark one can lower damage alot but it has a long charge time. For Summon Demon there can be a system called the Name system where you read books to find out the names of demons the more you know about the demon and its name the stronger it will be when you summon it. You must have the demons Chant. For Blind Rage you enter a stage in when your controls are mixed but your power is doubled but you also get shorter charge times for all spells but it weakens these spells slightly.
The coding can look like this:


Fork Opt.(Branch) if Switch Yang Blade is on
Flash Event: Hero(Black)
Move Event: Event001, Change Graphic, Sword
Flash EVent: Event001(Purple)
Move Event: Hero, Begin Jump, End
Message: Yes! I have finally unlocked the power of one hundred fifty light souls!
Sound Effect: (Victory/Fanfare)
Message: You Obtained the Yang Blade!



The switch Yang Blade can be activated when the variable Yin Yang Blade is 150.

Hope that helps.

EDIT: You could probably tint the screen darker and add a few clashes of thinger maybe a lightning bolt to the sword.

Well if I do a CBS it'll be made just to look like a FF 4,5, or 6 in which the DBS looks like any way.And no ABS.Oh and BSW I've been haveing conputer problems at moms and don't want to put RPG maker on my dad's conputter so I have no screen shots yet but I'll put some up as soon as I can.

Well, Im more conserned about the fact that FF6's graphics look beatiful, ff4's looks cartoony, and ff5's looks like a rat's ***. That my friend, doesn't make a pretty picture when combined.
