Okay.. I know SC3 is kinda old even though it hasn't come out yet, But I want to know who is going to be getting it. I'm lucky because it comes out 3 days before my birthday (it comes out october 25th).
For those of you who don't know, Soul Calibur is a fighting game.
Your opinions?

The character creation might be cool, but the series is really overrated.

I guess that sucks not having a PS2... I have PS2 and Xbox, and the only reason I would get GC would be for zelda.
back onto topic: I think the character creation system is very cool. If you check out namco's website, you can see it's capabilities. I already know that it is entirely possible to make a Sephiroth character, and I think they are going to have Cloud as a guest character.

I didn't really like 1, but 2 is!! ok!!
3, Im hoping will be better though.

The new characters for SC3 look gay. Some girl with two boomerangs, a white grim reaper, and another guy... I think a fat one with a stick.
The character creation looks good, but will most likly take so much time that people won't care much for it. Also, if you can't chose your own attacks it will pretty much suck too.
SC is not over rated. 2 was I guess, but 1 wasn't. It was the first 3d fighting game I believe, don't know if DoA was first or not.

It wasn't the first. There was even Soul Edge, which was in the same series. Sheesh. More fact checking next time. So if that was your whole argument for Soul Calibur, sorry.

If you liked SC2, or didn't like it much, GET SC3!!! It is like 20 steps up from SC2
Upsides:
LOTS of new characters
The customcharacter system is exceptional
Downsides:
Moves have been changed.. you'll have to relearn your favorites

I dont think SC3 is that good, and its ps2 only, namco must be stupid not to release it on all consoles, that would bring lots more of that cash everyone likes so much.

If Namco decided to make it for gc, then they'd get all that hate mail for not putting in link. IT IS A VERY HUGE GAME and I should know.I have unlocked nearley everything and I've only had it for about 10 days, which is a long time for me. Not to mention that namco has lots of games for the PS2, like Xenosaga. I could see them come out with is on Xbox... but you can't hate something because it is for only one system like so.

I tried the Xbox, if that's what you're implying to the people who dislike it. I tried, I really did. But it didn't felt right. And those huge controllers made me sick.

I'm just saying that you shouldn't hate a game based on what console is on. Of course I can't say much being the proud owner of an xbox and a PS2, But you can't go around saying "Oh that game sucks" without actually playing it.

Like I've been saying, Namco is stupid for not spending three days or so to change the coding for each console. I only bought SC2 for my GC b/c I needed a good fighting game (aside from the best fighter to ever grace anything Nintendo[ and in my personal opinion, any system] Super Smash Brothers Melee). I chose it b/c I only seem to be good at fighters with weapons for all. I don't know why. The controls on the PS2 were far different from the GC, which I feel to be the best controls. Unbiased and everything. I swear. And I never get to play my dad's PS2 b/c I only see him, like, once every few months. You know. When I feel like going to his hell-hole house. So unless I REALLY find something on PS3 that I absolutely MUST have, I won't ever be buying SC3. Or a PS3 ($300!!!), an XBOX 360 ($250-$300!!!), or the Nintendo Revolution (Why, Nintendo? Why must you slowly twist the knife? You should have stopped at innovation on the DS!!! At least third party could USE that!!!).........................

EDIT: Oh HELL yeah!!! I remembered that The Boondocks airs first thing tomorrow on [Adult Swim]. Rejoice!

They aren't stupid. They'll release a 'Director's Cut' for the other systems, without changing it all, in about a year.

Oh how foolish you are... You haven't even seen the game. As far as I am concerned, PS2 has the best controller, but everyone would say something different depending on which version they got.
And beides, like you say "PS2 doesn't have many good games"
Let them have this one. Oh and a PS3 costs $500, Xbox360 costs $300-$400, and nobody knows anything at all about the revolution aside from the controller.

The PS3 no cost 500 bucks. They don't have a bloody price tag for it yet and Sony doesn't want it to have an outrageous price.
Oh, and you want 1 very good reason to get a PS3? Metal Gear Solid 4, 'nuff said.

My younger brother flipped out hen he found out about SC3. He got me to call every game store about it only to find out it wasn't comign out or the Game Cube.
I didn't mind the game, but I'd rather play SSBM. ( More my style of fighting game. )
The only thing I really couldn't stand in SC2 was the training at the start. When it said "press the "K" button", that threw me right off track for a while... until I figured it out.

the game is coo, reminds me of FF11 for some odd reason lol but I like it. I just bought it along with the new dbz game 2 days ago.
