I have been thinking this for months, and it just keeps tickling my mind.
I want to know, if its possible for me to create own MMORPG. I dont know any coding at all, but i want to learn. What code-language should i start out with? What programs would i need? How much would it cost? I hope you dont come telling me 'go away n00b' cause i want to give it at least a try! Oh, and is it possible to create it with charas-style graphics? Ah well, i hope i can do something, because i really want to!

Theres 5 programs that I know that can make MMORPGs
Playerworlds - same type of character graphics as in rm2k/3, tilesets however are 32 x 32 instead of 16 x 16. The engine is very limited in what you can do, but its really easy to use.
RMXP - Now that you can buy rmxp in english, you can use this to create MMORPGs. I've seen scripts out there for networking and mmorpgs. I lost them though when my compy crashed.
Nedango (network rpg maker) - I used ot have this program, it was pretty sweet. But its kinda rare to find, and i've never tested it to see how it works online yet.
Byond - I don't know much about this, but I hear people talking about it a lot. Its a little more complicated to use though.
Realm Crafter - Don't know much about this either, just heard someone talking about it once.
Plus you can always code the game with a programming language, but it'll probably be best to work with simpler then more complex programs before doing this.

BYOND is hard to use if you're not very good at coding. I'd stick to something simpler.
Personally, I'd go for Playerworlds.

BYOND is kinda hard
I'D go with swish its really basic and youu also can make movies and animations, movies and games although its made for animations and stuff you still can make games and when your really good try flash but id go with what Dragonium says about Playerworlds

There isn't a working MMO script(s) yet.
They can send data to a server, but they can't really have any other people appear or anything.

Try sending an e-mail to the Runescape staff?

hmm i could try playerworlds, but i actually wouldnt want my mmorpg to be so much about killing monsters..Is C++ good to make games?

I seen many rmxp related mmorpg. some are failed though. don't try it. But its up to you though

I'm not much of a programmer, but I woulndn't use C++ to make a game. Though C++ is very flexable and powerfull, the coding is a lot longer than other languages. Personally I'd probably use Visual Basic. But you should probably use what your most comferable with. If you don't know any languages currently, then you should probably try BYOND or something along those lines. Look into a ton of tutorials on how to use it, and hopefully you get how to use it well enough to make a good game :)
