Title: Charas wont start

I downloaded the offline charas thing, hit the uploader, saw it worked because the file it's in is now full of resources, then I clicked the picture of the guy with the name "charas.ex" and then an empty box with the title "CHARAS.EX" pops up for just like a fraction of a second, then disapears, and in the end nothing happens.  Basically, I can't run charas.  Any ideas as to what this problem could be?  Do I need a certain other program to run charas?  does it not work for windows XP?  I really want this to work because I need a lot of custom graphics for my game but it would take a really, really long time to get them all into 256 colors with the online charas version.

It works on XP, that's not the problem.. I dunno what it could be.

Well i found something : just launch the updater and anskwer yes to destroy old files, and Chara.EX will run...
