Title: Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire
Post by: Kinslayer on December 01, 2005, 04:16:24 PM
Hey, I saw HP and the Chalice of Fire last Saturday. The movie has great visual effects and stuff, but many thing that happen on the book are not named in the movie. I'd say to those who didn't watch it to gop and watch it, but if you read the book before (as I did) you'll be a bit dissapointed. Still it's a great movie. Has anyone seen it yet?

Chalice of Fire? Well, technically, it's Goblet of Fire, but that's not your fault.

Yeah, they couldn't fit a 1000-odd-page book into a 2 or 3-hour movie, so they have to cut some parts out. That's what they did with the other three movies. But I'm sure that it was still a great movie, as the books just keep getting better (6 is definately my favourite so far, and 7 is probably going to be better), and apparently the movies do too.

Huh, I read a couple of those books and I saw the first movie. It kinda makes me sick that there turning novels into movies. At this rate were gonna have to say "Dont judge a book by its movie." thats just wrong that america doesnt have to read the books now, just go see the movie...Whats the world coming too....

lol thats pretty clever. Who did you steal it from? Oh, come on, we all know your just repeating something you heard. ;)

Anyways, I've been debating whether or not I should spend 2+ hours of my precious time watching this movie. I have very little time to myself between responsibilities these days and I've been disappointed before by poor choices with which to spend that time.

For me, it was a Fire Grail.

I didn't saw it yet, but if its as good as Harry Potter 3, then it'll suck.

EDIT: About the books, 6 it's the worse, in my opinion, too much centered in Harry, Hagrid almost never appears and it's turning in one of those "Hey, let's seek shinny objects scateed across the world!" things.

The only reason I would ever see harry potter, is cos the guy who plays Hagrid is a Scottish comedian

That's pretty shallow to say. Some people don't take pleasure in just sitting there holding a book up. I like reading some things, but I'd rather watch a movie and be able to talk, eat, drink, and pet my cat at the same time.

I just saw the movie. It was alright, but the 4th was my favorite one so far and so there was a lot that was missing - for a lot of things they just changed what happened or what character did what.

What about Prancer!? All that was about was a boy that didn't wanna shoot the deer, and the corner he turned to when he needed to cry.

Hahahaha! I got that movie for Christmas a long time ago and my whole family thought it was the corniest, stupidest thing except maybe my mom who was probably just trying to be nice because it was supposed to be a nice movie.

Harry Potter worships satan. And Ron Weasley has had sex with Hermoine multiple times.

The books are getting worse, but easier for kids to read. Because now JK Rowling is writing them for 10 year olds, not herself. She's also churning them out one a year. And that's not because the actors will get too old: Frankie Muniz is like 21, but still living at home in Malcolm in the Middle.

Best movie ever: Santa with Muscles, starring Hulk Hogan.

lol, yea I did still that line "dont judge a book by the movie." someone in one of my classes told me that, thought it was funny. Honestly though whats so good about Harry Potter? Theres tons of books like that, but there not making movies. Why is that? So confused...But heres a fact Pulp Fiction Was the best movie ever.

I think you mean, "Best f***ed up movie that you should ony watch when high".

But I saw it the sat after it came out, just to laugh. What bugged me is that they're at the ball, and alll of a sudden brittish punk crap starts playing O_o But I stopped caring after the 5th when she killed off Sirius Black. ONLY good character PERIOD in that series.

Santa with Muscles, starring Hulk Hogan.

 *trailer comes in mind*
I even know what quote would they use in it:
"This year, you won't want to be naughty."
