Title: Danger Doom...oh my god
Post by: Revolution911 on December 07, 2005, 08:20:18 PM
Holy ****...this..is the worst..hip hop artist I've ever heard. Andy Milonakis can rap better. His beats are really amazing. Just...well...heres some lyrics

the cat who the hell is that near the middle
Got y'all but it's not all bare and skittles
Prepare the viddles, got riddles and spittles
Crystal clear to the jock or the tittle
TSSSS.. It's hot off the griddle
Came to take the cake wether it's a lot or a little
KABOOM... DOOM is nervous large
You could tell by his Blooming room service charge
Dark and tall to boot
The only thing was wrong was he was bald as a coot

YES. HE JUST SAID "Prepare the viddles, got riddles and skittles."

And God looking down at Drenrin and said: "Hehe, sounds like titties."
And thus Drenrin begun his holy trip to tell people the word of God. And nowadays he's know as  Hugh Hefner, owner of the Playboy Mansion.

Its not just that. I've heard some bad rappers. I mostly only listen to hip hop. But....this is just....terrible. Honestly. The worst rapper I have EVER heard. Ever. Like...the humpty dance sounds like tupac compared to this.

Yet another thing to add to my list of "Why Rap Sucks". Seriously, the only acceptable rap died in the early 90s. And I sadi "acceptable", not "good". I can't say good, due to a bias towards rock, so I can only say Acceptable, as in, "This isn't making my ears bleed and then explode with puss! Remarkable!"

Rap isnt bad >>. Dont make it sound like this one crappy rapper represents EVERY rap artist. There are still alot of good rappers. You just dont get to see them because of all this "gangsta" hip hop bullshit =/. Some good new-age rappers are..uh...Gang Starr. Jay-z. Nas. Little Brother. Kanye West. Talib Kweli. Common. Slum Village. Raekwon. yeah...I could go on.

And shady ultima, never seen As I Lay Dying. But yes, forever is a great song. Also the agony scene is a good band.

Yeah, I'm more of a Lostprophets or Offspring buff, ever heard of them? Anyways, I don't mind rap, really. Most of my friends are like, "Ew, rap sucks." But I'm just like, "Eh, it's jsut another type of music." So I won't hate it, I won't like it.

AH! Generic rap sucks balls. Like "Shake that thing thing, look at me bling bling, stick my dick in dat g-string" And crap like that.

But, more over, I dislike how rap protestors in the south use country as an example of clean music, yet it's lyrics are composed of: Swing your partern to and fro, common girls try gettin low, ready or not now here we go, oops time's up let's end this show.

That's said in the context of being at a party that's NOT a hoe (he he, I said hoe, but no time to laugh about it now!) down.

Smo has one thing to say...

Bias bastards...
People can understand why you would listen to rock but you can't understand why they would listen to rap....

If you want to hear some good "rap" download some

Mos Def
(Best song is "Sex, love, and Money")

Del the funcky homosapion
(Best song would be "hygene")

Madina Green
(All there songs own but a really good one is Cross Town Beef)

De La Soul
(Baby phat owns by De La)

Will-I-Am
( "I am" is a good song)

Old "Mob Deep" songs
(Quite Strom)

pharoahe monch
(Song called "f.uck you" aka "Got you")

Mars ill
("Whats love", it's the olnly love song I'll listen to)

Common
("The light" is a good song)

and

Wyclef Jean
("Gone till November" a really good song)

Noticed you've prolly never heard of any of these people? Most of them are too good to be on radio or television...
If anyone does download any of these songs, tell me what you think of them.

Well atleast you dont bash it. Ya know, I can still respect ya if you say you dislike it, but still respect it as a form of music.

There was this one person in school, he said he liked rap, and didn't understand the idea of rock. He said it was all a bunch of guys head banging their heads nad slamming guitars. I think for the most part, you're either rap or rock. If you're rap you bash rock, if you're rock, you bash rap. but c'mon! It's all jsut different kinds of music. Everyone has different styles, not everyone is going to like you're type of music.

oh yeah BTW: Country fits in their somewhere... alnog with jazz, industrial, and the other small groups that break down from rap and rock.
Title:
Post by: blackskullwarlock on December 07, 2005, 11:48:52 PM
It's down to personal tastes really. People bashing a music style is taking it to the extreme. I don't like rap personally but many of my friends listen to rap so I've learned to live with it. Tolerance is the key...in my book.

Commercial Hip Hop and Rap is so shitty. Underground is the best. The only commercial hip hop I can listen to is east coast. I blame South and Weat coast for raping hip hop.

God, I'm sorry, but that's what they say about everything. Let's face it, people hate rap because it's repetitive, and people hate heavy metal because they think it's pointless screaming. Can't we both learn to just get along in our hate?

Edit-  you blame SOUTH COAST!? XD

You never heard southern rap? o.O

Every line mentions candy gloss paint and hoes.

THey think its repetitive cause of all this..gangsta stuff. Really, listen to gang starr or kanye west.

You must have heard South Coast rap it is repetitive. Easy coast is more poetic (sometimes) often uses real  instruments and turntables.
just look at the list of songs I posted and download one.

Isn't Danger Doom that one thing that was advertised on Adult Swim awhile back?

Anyway, I won't bash rap. I will say I prefer rock, but if I don't like it, I just won't listen to it. Now, I will get frustrated if you say the rap wasn't influenced by rock. Listen to a key example, Walk This Way by Aerosmith. The verses are rhymed and stylized just like rap, or at least early rap.

LIES, LIES LIES!!

All through high school I got **** because I listened to rock. Hey NIRVANA. Hey METALLICA, hey W/E, you know your music is just noise right? Me, I just shut up cause I didn't want to get involved with the fuckin jocks who think they're gods. Gah... stupid.

Mind you I listen to rap as well as rock. I prefer rock, but some rap is alright. I listen to a lot of mainstream rap. Ludacris, Nelly, Dre, Em, but most of it is really calming, and that's why I listen to it.

As it's been said, rap and hiphop and especially R&B sucks, the first two from the mid ninetys onwards. R&B has always sucked. Christ, does it suck. I mean, nothing could ever suck so hard...

but I digress. San Andreas has quite a few good rap/hip hop songs, being set in 1992 and all.

But me favourite hiphop song is White Lines, by Grandmaster Flash and friends.

Yeah, people tend to use pronouns without prior defining them when they are lying, exaggerating, or don't know what they are talking about.  Not accusing anyone.  But Smo has a good point here.

Rev, yes people who like Rap and Hip Hop do disrespect Rock and Metal.  Being someone who is eclectic and will listen to anything if it sounds good, I can tell you there are very few rap songs that I like, (mostly because of the rediculous lyrics), most of them are by Eminem (shame to admit it) and the Hip Hop I like is more along the line of Gorillaz (thanks to Smo) and I really hate the mainstream artists.

One other thing, people need to stop classifying Metal into Rock and Hip Hop into Rap.  They are all different.  Rap is poetry to a beat, Hip Hop is a culture with some Rap in it.  Metal and Rock are also different.

LOL, I saw a show by Pablo Francisco that he immitates (sp?) R&B...he says R&B's always five black guys with no shirt, saying like: "Yeah...Iīm horny, yeah".

Plus, theyīre always singing how fine the girl is:

"Girl you fiiii-iii-iine! Let you down....Fiiiiiiiiiiine!"

LOL...and they always say "smooth, soft and silky in every song...Thatīs the best show ever...

The best part is when he mocks rappers, saying that when the get their awards, they always credit God:

*imagine that fast rapper way of speaking*

"Iīd like to thank Jesus Christ...The hope'o'God'almighty...For my number one hit single, itīs called S.uck you mama!"

ROFL...

Yeah. I can agree with anyone who says that anything today or mainstream that gets involved in anything able to be labeled "rap" sucks. Like I've said before, I'm biased towards rock and, yes, I generalize. But to recieve any acknowledgement of anything "hip-hop" as anything other than suck-balls or something similar is a HUGE deal. So feel glad when I say this: Old school or underground rap is the only kind acceptable. I will (on occasion) change the station on GTA to a "rap" station (we'retalkin' Vice City and San Andreas here) to listen to a few songs. Hell, even the Tony Hawk games get something that isn't about "livin' th' gangsta' life" or "shootin' up b'hind a dumpsta'" or "f.uck tha' po-lice" or "bein' tha' pimp-juice whi' ma' hoes". Something that doesn't make me want to asplode some fags in the face with my guitar of agony. My friends can agree from time to time, too. Just today, my friend (who listens to what I do, and stuff heavier on the rock chain than I do, and, sadly, COUNTRY (also dead now) music that the media churns out today) asked about the name of a rap song that had System of a Down doing the music in the background. Admittedly, he probably wanted to know because of the System part (one of the best damn bands in the world right now, by the way), but that's one small step towards acceptance. Personally, I like that one Sugar Hill Gang song on THUG 2. If only I could remember what it was called... And, as I leave you, remember this: I don't "bash" music, I just leave my opinion. And The Offspring rock.
