Title: Outcasts of High School
Post by: CoolZidane on December 21, 2005, 07:51:01 PM
I'm writing a musical film entitled "Outcasts of High School."

It details the accounts of Paul and Jared, two boys in High School, as they struggle to take down the tyranny of Gloria, the popular girl at school.

There are eight songs in it (composed by me).

Off to School
Vote Gloria
Prom Night
We're in the Band!
Get the Girl
The School Will Be Won
Jared's Halftime Show
Off to School (Reprise)

Here is the first song, Off to School.

It features Paul waking up, missing the bus, various people singing about Paul and Jared, Paul singing a brief moment about the beauty of the day, their encounter with Gloria, her singing to herself about her hatred of the two, and the finale.

Here is the second song, Vote Gloria.

It is sung by her lackies, Steve, Frank, and Bob, who explain why Gloria should be elected Head of Prom Night.

This one is Prom Night.

It takes place on Prom Night. It is sung by Jared as a romantic background as they wait for Paul and the girl he loves to kiss. (Which, of course, doesn't happen)

You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near 're in the Band.mid','8973_1135195607.mid')' at line 1

This is coming up whenever I try to attach something now.

Yeah, but I eventually decided to work on them myself.

And I'm still getting that stupid error.

This is We're in the Band.

It is sung by Mitch, head of the school band. He describes Gloria's takeover of the school and why the band came to be considered scum of the school (the two events are related.)

The music interlude in the middle focuses on a visual representation of a battle between Mitch and Gloria.

This is Get the Girl.

It is my personal favorite. The song is basically a send-up of confidence-boosting songs in musicals. Jared and members of the band try to explain that Paul will get the girl. However, Gloria manages to wreck everything for them, leading to Melanie, the girl Paul likes, to be angry at him. Of course, Jared still decides to finish the song.

This is The School Will Be Won.

It is a combination of various people singing different parts.

It starts with Mitch rallying the band as they prepare to unfold their plan at the football game. Then, about 1 minute in, it switches to Gloria as she notes her suspicion. Then, it goes to Steve, Frank, Bob, and the football team as they realize that the band is planning something and that it means war. After that, it switches to Paul, as he works on the finishing touches of his part of the plan. Then, it goes back to Mitch for a reprise of the melody from the beginning.

This is Jared's Halftime Show, sung by, who else, Jared.

It is a distraction while the assault on the football team is set up.

This is the ending song, Off to School (Reprise).

It is sung by Jared, Paul, and some other characters as they celebrate Gloria's defeat.

In other words, your typical ending song.

The School Will Be Won has had a slight addition to it, so here it is for you to hear.

Well, there's too many for me to listen to them all right now, but I just listened to The School Will Be Won, and I've heard Party - they sound good, though I'm having a hard time actually picturing them being performed. It would be nice to see, though.

Off to School (Reprise) has been redone.
