I noticed this rmxp format resource in the charsets section

Now, I am aware that charas supports rmxp now, and I have no problem with xp personally. But I don't think it's a good idea that xp resources start going in with the rest of the stuff in the complete resources section.

There should be a seperate archive (with individual categories much like the section is now) for the rmxp complete resources or none at all. The 2 should never be mixed together like that.


btw, yes i know this is only one resource, so pls don't say I'm over-reacting. But even one of these can turn into thousands, right? If it's allowed now, then a trend will begin and pretty soon the whole complete resources section will be a total mess.

Right, so you have no problems with sifting through xp resources while looking for rm2k/3 stuff in the same section?

Also complete resources is a mess, I'll agree. But what you're saying is that rather than to fix the problem, you'd prefer it just got worse?

Notice how most of what returns has nothing to with rmxp, except under 'Charsets'.

I still think having seperate archives is the way to go. But, this topic was only as a suggestion, so I won't be losing any sleep over this.

Here's an idea. Have a person choose a category when submitting resources. 2k/3 or xp. Then havea search tab that says 2k/3 or xp, and whne you choose either one, it'll show either 2k/3 or xp resources. There, no need ofr a whole other complete resource section, problem solved. And yes, I realize the occasional n00b would forget to pick either 2k/3 or xp, but it's better than nothing.

A fine idea. Something like this is all that's needed though.

Look, Alex is the only one with access to the resource script, the only one with can modify it, is himself, we do support XP, as you mentioned, so there's nothing I can do BUT upload them. After all they arn't breaking any rules. However, if/when Alex does create a different section for XP resources, they will all be moved into an XP section. Untill then, you can count on seeing them along side the 2k/2k3 resources.

No, I didn't. That's an error with these forums that adds a page break close tag to links sometimes.


@Ghostclown: I wasn't proposing you or anyone else do this, as I am already well aware of Alex, who built and operates charas.
