Early today I went through some 'final' tweaking of a piece I've been working with for a while now, entitled Routine.
It's rather different in comparison to what I've written in the past, as I'm always trying out different styles and what not.
I'm pleased with how it turned out overall, but getting feedback/suggestions/critiques from others is always something I've appreciated. So feel free to let Allen know what you think of his latest work.

Heh Heh. Routine= Pretty sweet. That's nothing like I first expected, but it's great!

I love the intro to Routine, it sounds really "Burzum". Overall it's good, but I don't think the lyrics go with the sound.. but that's just my opinon. I also like how the notes bend into harmony with each other... nice touch.
Reign of the Marquis reminds me of Zelda....
Crowned King... no real comment. I honestly can't form an opinon on it.
The misc project... it has a very RPG town feel to it, specifically Final Fantasy. Of course I really liked the intro. It has a really classical sound to it. I would have enjoyed it if the entire song played out like that.
And what are you using for the drums? The only thing I have on my midi editors is the stupid "Synth drum" thing.... unless I'm missing something.

Routine is really good! Good job! Don't really know what else to say, just commenting.
EDIT: Just listened to the others. The only other comment I really have is on The Reign of the Marquis. It reminds me of Zelda too, but kind of mixed with Sonic. Good job though, I really like the sound of it.

I gotta say, I wasn't too fond of "Routine". It was good, but not your greatest work. I didn't like "Crown of the King" very much, either. Sorry :(
I did, however, like "Reign of the Marquis", not so much the intro, but the rest of it was pretty sweet. The untitled one was a little weird, in my opinion. Some parts just didn't seem to go together with the rest.
But overall, I can tell you spent a lot of time with all of your songs, which is more than most Composers can say. I do like the pitch bends, and little variations you added. It gives the song a little extra uniqueness to it. The guitar was also used very well, it sounded very realistic. You know your guitar.
Overall, not what I expected from Al~len, but respectable work. I give you a 6/10.

These aren't supposed to sound like video game music xD
Yeah, that one was when I wanted to try having more alteration and changing of keys and tempos in a song. I was going to transpose the end into another key as well but got lazy, so it's not really done. I understand your opinion on it, thanks. ^_^

I'm just using the Percussion set that my Guitar Pro 4 program has; basic snares, bass drum, toms, hi-hats, cymbols.. etc.. o_o

Well, I dunno what my greatest work is, I never tend to think very highly of anything I tend to do anyway.. o_o
I do however feel it has some of my best guitar soloing in it, which is something I've neglected to attempt in most works.
I can make assumptions as to why one wouldn't be too fond of it, I assumed more would aside from you actually. The piece was driven by inspiration from Prince, hence the repetitive rhythm and chord harmony in the background. xD

Oh, I don't require/desire any sort of a rating out of 10 though, please.. xD
A side note, Routine was also something I had written for me to help myself simply practice playing my guitar while singing at the same time. My multitasking is rather weak. x_x

I do have to say, the little guitar riffs and solos were pretty sweet.
