It's a -fake- holiday made by the online comic Ctrl Alt Del (also know as CAD)

Let me understand this... I'm not an expert of CAD, but I have read most comics... In the beginning, it was a holiday (or days) to give Ethan presents because he had to suffer cold. Am I right? In later Winter-een mas, he said that it was a holiday for gamers or whatever. When, why and how did it changed? And how is that supposed to celebrate gamers? In my opinion, saying "Winter-een mas is for gamers", but not doing anything for them, is not a way to honor them... anyways, that's only what I read some weeks ago... I might have forgotten something.

Me and my friends had our Winter-Een-mas party early, because we couldn't fit it in after Christmas. It was quite cool. All night Halo 2, like it should be. :]]
