Title: Opinions and Suggestions for my RPG

I need some suggestions and opinions for my ne RPG.
It's a combination of Final Fantasy and Fire Emblem.

The Plot:
In a land very sacred, there lies an emblem. It holds the power to make the world peaceful, but in the wrong hands it could corrupt the world and destroy it. But nine great warriors from 5 different tribes will rise to save the world each holding a special weapon when the hour of doom is near.

The Main Characters:
Male Hero
Female Hero
Male Soldier
Female Soldier
Male Mage
Female Mage
Priest
Priestess
Marth

The Characters are about 13-19 years of age.

The Setting:

This game seems to be 'The Ultimate Fan Game', the fan game to end all fan games. Screenshots are always a must.

Go think up your own game. Not stealing everyone elses. I have nothing against fan games, but seriously, if your gunna make a fan game, make it from ONE game. not 50.

Yeah, not only is this a fan game, but it seems to have a very cliche plot. If you're gonna make a fan game, be sure to make a non-cliche plot.

yeah this dosnt seem origanal at all at least make your own plot or sumthing
oh and something tells me your probbably gonna quit half way through the project

I'll have to admit that he is right. I tell you for experience. I tried to combine many characters from many games in only one... the result started being a dissaster and a so cliched story that I never got to make a demo, just because I got bored on working on something relly ridiculous (isn't it ridiculous to combine characters like mario, pikachu, sonic, megaman, Cecil, Cloud, Spiderman and such?)

If you want to continue, go ahead. I'm not against any kind of game. In fact, I like fan games (not a fan of fan games, but like to see other people's works), but you'll need more than luck, believe me

this looks like its going to be a crap tribute/fan game that wont do well
with crappy rtp battlesets, sorry if it sound harsh i just dont like the look of rtp charsets and they look like they've been generated, plus you will proberly get ideas from premade final fantasy/LOZ/Fire emblem games

but this is all my opinion, good luck anyway

Some of you people are way too one sided. It seems when someone with more than 500 posts says fan games are crap, all the newbs follow and are like, "Yeah, fan games suck. You suck!"

I say, go for it, if you don't get it done, or it doesn't work, or w/e, then so what. It's not hurting anyone. I have nothing against RTP GFX or fan games. Cliches suck, but w/e, some can't be avoided. The ONLY RTP I don't like are the chipsets, the others aren't bad, especially for a beginner. So, goodluck. :)

EDIT: BTW, Marth is cooler than Link, atleast the name.
