Ok, some may know already(probably not lol) but my last game I was working on, Melethica, was ruined. Apparently the Map tree was screwed or something. But I have arisen ashes with my new game. My first ever abs*bits finger*.

        NO, this isnt your average run of the mill Zelda Style ABS, its more complex than that. Ill go into more detail about it later. Right now, this is just a pile of ideas, stories, and random maps.  I just wanted to make a thread now so I can get the basics out of the way. Maybe I'll have a few more resources for the game to post by this weekend.






Heres the story so far:

The Norain Dancer
     As light sprinkles on the mountain said at the crack of dawn, you can hear nature calling. In the morrow Narn and Janve shall wake to find Logan gone. For he has embarked on a much more meanigful life. He has become a drifter with that fiend he ran into in the market today.  
   His adventures will take him far beyond our small town.  Maybe someday he will amount to something much more than  a stable boy like his brothers. Maybe someday he will truly have his dreams come true...........


Basicly:
The main character meets this guy one day and he convinces him to leave with him.  His hole quest is about one day being sombody, kinda like a bright lights big city story.



Characters:

Name:Logan
Part:Main Character
Training:No real traing, only worked on his adopetd mothers farm
              his whole life.
Background: Logan was adopeted along with his adopted brothers
                     from Necron:The Dead Continent.  They're not really
                     related, but they care for eachother just the same.
                     His number one dream in life is to become a
                     noteworthy warrior like Zatches: The warrior of
                     Secrets and Descovery.


Name:Zatches
Part:Main Characters freind and teacher
Training:Spent 3/4 his life descovering who he was. Also is
              considered one of the Greats in his homeland, though
              he has no memory of his true past, he has built a new
              history for himself.
Backround: He is know as the Warrior of Secrets and Descovery for
                   he has spent his whole life learning who he really is. He
                   has yet to find himself but his search is never ending.
                   He now has found a new traveling campanion, they
                   Shall now aid eachother in there life quests.



Somethings you will all hate me for:
IM using all RTP look alikes and edits for my sprite lol., most generated and edit.
And all Mack and Blue Chipsets and edits of them lol.
I do this only because resource of that manor are so abundent.

sounds okay. I like the story, simple, not too cliche. The only thing is him running away with someone he doesn't even know. Maybe if he knew the person, like a lover or good friend, or something. That'd make more sense, in my opinion. Well, goodluck, and don't worry, I could care less if you use RTP and Mac and Blue. The GFX aren't everything.

Thanks about the not caring of the GFX, beleive it looks good together in the end.

Abouth the leaving part, theres going to be this huge cutscene type deal where he convinces him theres a better life.

The main thing I like about my game is that it has nothing at all to do with saving the world or anything like that. Its about self gratitude.

hey im here as you requested and i like the idea for the story nice and original and yes i can help in any way possible and im pretty good at making sprites from scratch so if you want i could re do you characters for you

Well, I want to use RTP looking sprites so theres endless possiblitys, do you think that you could make and edit sprites that look like that?

No, 2nd Game. The other thing was where I discontiued my thread to start a new one. And that gamefile is now corrupt for some reason. Beleive me I dont usually do this, I almost 99% of the time finish a game I start.

Edit:Dude, change ur sig lol. Everytime I see it my genitals shrink 7 times smaller than they should be lol.

Yeah... picture of me on vacation when I was 14. I've gotten more muscle sence then..... bout it..... other then the massive growth in the pelvic region.

but back onto the subject when do you think you will be able to give me the sprites and when you do can you be sure to ad a character bio next to them so i know what im doing

Edit:Ok, I added the Characters. And if anyone asks, yes yes I am using zatches in this game. He is like the Icon of all my games somehow, and this one is now different.

Heres the 2 sprite sheets

Zatches


Logan




Heres what I need them to do sofar:
-Stab with a sword
-Slah across with a sword(like in zelda)
-Slice Down(verticly with a sword)
-Water at ankles(like walking in shallow water)
-Water to shoulders(like swiming)
-on a cloud that hovers
-on a horse(use the RTP horse, and if you can, can you make it more realistic than just standing on the horse, maybe arch his back or something.
-death poses(just laying in a pool of blood)



I need all of those for each sprite if thats ok. This isnt all I need, but this is all for now. Thanks in advance.

Edit:Hey, i did find one problem, the shallow water pose for logan and zatches, and the swim pose for zatches need to be centered.

Ok, Im still waiting on the poses from 69 to finish making my new abs. I have  6 puzzles now, and 3 mini-games. I have all the maps for the first 3 towns drafted(screens soon). But as soon as i get the poses, I'll be able to post alot more info.
