This game I'm gonna stick with. The idea for this game came when I was thinking about Naruto. Basically a boy is infected with a plague but he doesn't know what it will do, so he sets out to find a cure before the plague takes effect, Here is a more detailed version of the plot.
In 923 A.D. A plague broke loose in a small village called Kazdale, thses were hard times for the
people of the village and mostly everyone caught the plague, those who didn't left and died
shortly after. Each person effected with the plague had a different symptom and a different
sickness. Some only had a few days to live, while others lost eyesight. A man by the name of
Destin showed no signs of the plague in him, but Scientist could clearly see the plague was in him.
Now, Destin sets out to find a cure for the plague to cure himself, and his village. With limited
transportation he can only go as far as his neighboring town, is there any way he can stop the
plague?

Look at the attachment to see what Destin looks like.
Well, that's all I have, I'm in need of someone to make charactersets and poses, chipsets, and music for the game.
Comments and suggestions right now would help greatly though.
EDIT: Forgot to include that you will be added in the credits if you give me any suggestion or comment that helps me and if you can make charactersets, chipsets, and music. I will open up Beta-Tester applications when I am 50 % done with the demo.

I gotta be honest here, as many games as you've tried and quite on, I'd expect your mapping to be pretty refined, but it really hasn't improved much at all.
I wrote a tut in the tut section on mapping. Haven't done an interiors yet, but you'll get the point on how to map by reading it.
-
Grr..I'll never be good at making maps, I just can't get it! I try my hardest and it ends up looking pitiful. Your tutorials are excellent I'm sure but I just don't get them! I don't think I have the proper chipsets either, Grr! *sigh* This'll just end in failure..
-
Well, I relooked your tutorial again and I did as best as I could in this little FOrest map, it's just to show what I did using your tutorial as a reference. If you think it should be used I'll make room for it.

Hey, don't get down on yourself. I think you're maps are pretty good, of course they could be better, but there is hardly ever a map made that couldn't be in some way. Right now I wouldn't downgrade your game at all for the maps, the only one I don't like is the outside of the mayors house. Basically because the house takes up the whole top of the screen so you don't even see what the house really looks like and all.
Anyway, you can't force yourself to make good maps. The more you work on it, the better it'll get, its not something you can really learn. I remember a long time ago, I tried really hard to make my games the best I could, but they would look like crap. Then all of the sudden one day, snap, everything started looking better. Anyway, unlike my old games, yours doesn't look like crap :p, my point is that just give it time, and you'll just automatically get better ;)

I agree, you're maps aren't bad at all. The only thing I'd say would be the interior floor and the first map, the one DB pointed out. But they're not bad, trust me, there's worse. If you put you're all in and it's your best than that's a lot more than some can say. Too many people get lazy when making their game... like me! :p
-
Thanks! I guess they do look okay, for the Mayor's house, that isn't the whole map, It's bigger, but I only showed one part of the map, the house is really big so the screenshot only took a portion of the map.
-
Sorry for the double post but I did a little touch up on the last screen I posted, take a look:
-
It's good for a forest, but you're missing the tree trunks XD

Alright I'm gonna make a CBS for this, there will be a stat system, the system will be like this,
STRENGTH - This plays a big role in the game, Strength determines if you can move big objects, break certain objects, and determines how hard you hit the enemy. With high strength your hits deal more damage and you can move and break many more things.
SPEED - Speed also plays a big role, this determines how fast you run, how long you wait after each attack at the enemy, it also determines how well you dodge enemy attacks aswell, with High speed you can dodge enemy hits well, run faster and hit faster.
STAMINA - Stamina is probably most important, this determines how many hits you can make during battle, if your stamina runs out you may not attack, and you will move slower. This stat determines how long you can run also and how high you can jump. With high stamina, you can jump higher, run longer, and hit longer.
DURABILITY - Durability covers a few aspects of gameplay, Durability dtermines how many hits you can take and how much damage you take from traps and such, like falling boulders or spikes. With High Durability, You can last longer in battle and withstand dungeon traps better.
ENERGY - Energy is, in a way, like Strength, however instead of affecting physical attacks and aspects, it affects Spiritual attacks and aspects. Energy determines how strong your spells are and what things your spells can move and break. With High Energy, your spells will hit harder and your spells will move things and break things more skillfully.
ACCURACY - Accuracy plays a minor role in the game. This stat determines how accurately you hit and your spells hit, with high accuracy you can hit the enemy more skillfully with physical and spiritual attacks.
-
Alright, I've moved some things around, and I'm restarting the game in RM2k, I'm keeping the ABS and I decided on a Custom Shop System, Inn System, Hunger and Sleepiness SYstem, and a CBS to make it more original. Expect screenies soon since I am almost finished with the System stuff, I just need to finish up there and start the coding for the ABS and everything else and I will post progress here.

...Screeen shottt..nuuumber...1...

Looks good, but I would really reccomend against using the message box to choose what enemy to attack. If you could code the rest of it, I'm sure you could make a cursor. Good job though, I'm liking the looks of things.
-
Alright, I'll move the cursor next to the enemies, then I'll make a push key event that you press when next to an enemy, then you attack it.
-
Nice looking... I mean.... it's nice that you're doing a CBS I mean. It's not very good looking right now, but I'm sure it will get better.
-
Well..thanks. Anyway, I'm having trouble on the CBS, If I get rid of the message choice system I will have to completly redo the enemy and tab coding. I am trying to make it so that the Orc dies but it doesn,t it stays alive after you've killed something and the variable won't go down. Hmm..this is harder than I thought. Help would be appreciated, if you wanna help contact me over PM and I will send you the game files so you can tell me what I did wrong in the coding, I can't find it. The darn Orc just stays alive! Anyway, for a treat, here is the battle music.
